  1. Just finished Ben Heck's composite mod on my four-switch Atari 2600. This is the second of Ben's mods i have done, previously i did my colecovision which looks great. After completing the soldering and hooking the rca cords to my telivision it worked! One problem, the color is darker than i remember. I have played with the atari's color pentometer and the two pentometers on the perf board and still i cant find a color scheme that looks authentic. Tried twenty different games and even compared them to my RF-ready Atari heavy sixer, Still looks different, any help i would appreciate, maybe a specific game and color wheel would help me get things authentic. Tried Pitfall 1 and 2 and both look dark, also tried pac man and the ghosts were very faint. Please help!!! Go Buckeyes!!!!
  2. hey you sent me a post that the scematics to the 5200 msterplay clone would be better another way, i bought all the stuff he said but he won't tell me how to connect it all underneath the board and to the two 9-pin connectors since i have the wico y-cable. you sent me a pin out but i don;t understand completely. please send me scematics that will work. pics work best for me. please help me not giv

  3. i recently found a atari 2600 y cable in a box of controllers and rf cables. This cable has no markings by any company, both ends of the Y have male 9-pins. The end of the y-cable is a small enclosure about 2-3 inches long and about an inch and a half across, it also has three screws holding the box together with a female 9 pin at the end of the box. What is this cable and what is it for. I have 2 wico y-cables for my 5200 neither are similar to this one. please tell me what this cable was intended for.
  4. ok bought all the stuff but couldn't get a 270resistor bought enough to piggyback please help me i have the material and no clue where else to turn. not sure how to connect to the two nine pin connectors and what pins to connect to. please help a fellow buckeye....
  5. Not sure what i'm looking at . why two sticks? Still no one willl show me a picture of how the male and female pins connect inside the box and what the parts listed look like inside the box connected and finished. Please shed some light. If you don't want the atari community to see how to make the clone then email me a pic and guide at sphutch78@hotmail.com. please help. Its obvious you guys can make these work and i want to make one myself but i need your help beyond schematics.
  6. I have the wico y cable for the 5200 with the 15 pin and 9 pin, What does the bottom of the board look like and how do i connect each end to the two pins connectors? I still need to see both sides of the board and a pic of how the box is connected inside to both 9 and 15 connector. please help with these pics.
  7. I have the wico y cable for the 5200 with the 15 pin and 9 pin, What does the bottom of the board look like and how do i connect each end to the two pins connectors?
  8. Please help me install emulators on my Wii. I have a massive cart collection and i'm getting to the point where the carts i don't have i can't afford anymore. My wife thinks my ten game systems hooked up to one telivision is to much, not to mention all the game carts and controllers filling her laundry room. I have never worked with emulators before and need help understanding how to pick and run the emulators and how to soft mod my wii to play these emulators. Please someone help me find the right steps to getting these games all into one system. The emulators i want are (Atari-2600,5200,7800),(Colecovision),(NES, Famicom, SNES), (Sega Genesis). Other emulators i might be interested in are Intellivision,N64, Atari Jaguar. Please help me continue to enjoy new games that i can't afford or even find, all on my Nintendo Wii. Also being vague doesn't help....
  9. I have found several sights listing schematics to make your own masterplay for the 5200 but i'm not the best at understanding what i'm looking at. I have done mods before but with piture guides. I need some help form the community to find a picture guide to make my own masterplay with radio shack parts. If i learn how to make them i'm sure I could help others out, love to solder! If no help them maybe someone knows where i can buy a clone.
  10. Does anyone out there know how to install emulators onto your wii console? I really want to put a colecovision and atari and also NES emulators on my wii thru a soft mod. Please help me find a site where it explains how to do this for FREE and also where to get the vintage catalogue im wanting for my Wii.
  11. i just recently added a intellivision 2 to my collection. I'm a dedicated Atari fan having a heavy sixer and and four switch vader console and my sleek 5200, and still have love for my coleco and NES. Rumor had it there was a Intellivision 2 console in the box with no cords or games at the local thrift and i jumped and the rumor cost me ten whole dollars. System when tested lights up on the LED switch but no games to test, I was hoping there would be a start up screan like the colecovision but there wasn't. My first question is what games are worth the purchase, not just rarity but fun to play. Also ned to know how to open up controllers to clean them, there are no scews holding these thin coleco like controllers together.
  12. I just finished ben hecks colecovison av mod to perfection and now looking to mod my atari 2600. i have a heavy sixer and a 4-switch vader system, i want to mod the vader system to take rca cables and replace the rf cord with red white and yellow cables. i need a step by step picture guide like ben's coleco mod to accomplish this since i'm not the best at reading schematics. Please help me find a link or personal help along with radio shack part numbers to fix the picture on my vader 2600 4-switch.
