  1. 0111100002000000111100090000002000000000! I haven't a  clue what I just said to you. Hopefully not too bad. But just wanted to say merry Xmas and you're still banned!

  2. HA Ha, Perma-banned!

  3. Hey Joe, you were banned for good? I miss your posts, I had too much fun reading them!

  4. If you ask stupid questions, you get stupid answers. Q: Are you really that naive? A: No, If I was I would have given everyone here my bank account number instead of my paypal email address. Q: You realize that not a single person here is on your side, right? A: I see one person who isn't on my side, and clearly it's you. Yeah godslabrat, I have to say that goldenegg is a troll if he is going to be like this.
  5. Well if your telling jokes, then your just not adding to the discussion. Now your suggesting one program to be rushed that would make roms from scratch that would be playable on any console you can think of, well you have consider something like this. Down below I have listed different consoles, underneath their names are the names of their main CPU's NES Ricoh 2A03 SNES Ricoh 5A22 SMS Zilog Z80 Genesis Motorola 68000 2600 VCS Mos 6507 5200 SS Mos 6502C 7800 PS Atari Sally 6502 As you can see, Ricoh made the CPU for both the NES and SNES. While Zilog made the CPU for the Sega Master System, Sega went to Motorola to get a good CPU for the Genesis. Now the CPUs for the Atari 2600 and 5200 where made by MOS but the one for the 7800 was made in house. Each one of these had their own patents, meaning that they could not mimic one another. By the time the 7800 was released, the patent for the M6507 had expired so they where able to do backwards compatibility much easier. Make the CPU in house, that's how the SALLY chip was able to play back all 2600 games whether Atari ever licensed them or not. Now Apple for instance, their most recent line of Macs can operate both their own Mac OS 10.6 and all previous versions of Windows starting from Windows 1 all the way to Windows 7 all in the same system, but it can only handle 2 Operating Systems. That is only because all the Mac that have used OS 10.4 use Intel processor chips while previous hardware used chips made by Motorola. A CPU chip is not just a CPU chip, some preform better then others while others are just junk. Do you always keep asking yourself why your PC is always slowing down even when it's up to date and no viruses.
  6. I don't know how many units of homebrew carts are sold here or on retrousb but I can tell you that when the first game is completed I am going to go onto youtube and advertise the hell out of the game.
  7. Well then maybe I should ask them what kind of games they would rather be making the answers will be based on the results of a scientific poll. What kind of games would you rather be making? A. The kind that you show off B. The kind that you sell for profit
  8. Wow, way to dodge the question! ApolloBoy, you asked this question and I didn't dodge it I answered it. Here are two more websites just incase you didn't already know. http://www.yoyogames.com/ http://www.purezc.com/
  9. Well for starters, a majority of those who use any game making software of any kind are hobbyist. I went from website to website, so many I can't name them all but here is a few of them: http://nesdev.parodius.com/ http://www.pdroms.de/ Now if your serious about entering the gaming industry, you don't throw a completed game into the public domain, you get to proper application forms, write out checks for the exact fees and acquire a copyright. Those who did that are currently selling there games either here or on retrousb.com
  10. Holy crap! Someone stole Joe's ROM Maker idea and applied it to labels! If it works for labels, then it MUST work for a full game! Just image the power when the Atari 2600 Label Maker can start converting 2600 labels to NES or Genesis! Tie those in to ROM Maker and you'll have an unstoppable machine!!!! There is no aspect of any of my proposed ideas for game/rom making software that includes doing the artwork for the cover, because I had already figured that 60% of users would make fan games based on their favorite characters and just be showing off while the rest would actually be using it for original stuff and go in for profit, because lets face it. Those who already have games for sale on the online store here or retrousb.com are now officially apart of the gaming industry, an industry that actually has it's roots in Atari who is still in operation today. There most recent peace of work was Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
  11. I got to point out that comment on Final Draft, I've been using it for while. There are primary differences between software that would make a game and software that helps you write a screenplay so here is the run down starting with what I know most about. Final Draft: It is indeed a "point-n-click" solution but the difference between programming homebrew and writing a screenplay is that you don't have to know some sort of complex code. Where your at on the page, you point and click and a menu screen pops up that gives you a selection of what you want to write. You select "Action" to describe what you want the actors to do in the scene. You click again to select "character" to type in the name of your character, the current version will have it memorized in that specific document file. After that you then click again to select "dialogue" if you want your character to speak. "Transisition" if you would like to say, 'CUT TO' or 'FADE TO' or 'IRIS OUT'(like an old Warner Bros./Disney cartoon) Lets get this thread back on topic. Now that we got someone about to get started on something software related, lets get back to the hardware. That screen that comes up when you put the PowerPak in the TriStar/Super8. Now, I have mentioned the idea of a hardware clone that just bypasses the need for the NES powerpak and as long as there isn't a clone that can play it right, there is script limit to how many can be made in it's life span; but since the SNES PowerPak is soo flexable in clones, there may be no need for this hardware to have the same feature for SNES. I've also been thinking about a new clone that would play 2600, 5200 and 7800 carts in one console, but I'd wait until we have 726-78 Rom Maker users pumping out homebrew like mad, and since there is no flash cart of any kind for any of the three Atari platforms mentioned, it's safe to say that whatever hardware that comes out will have to have the internal ability to play roms on it's own. I'd say it's safe to say this. Coming Soon
  12. You wanna know, well for starters. I joined there because I just wanted to be apart of a community. I've always liked Anime, the forum seemed inviting enough so I went in and made some friends. I had no idea that the administration was abusive until I get this PM from this guy calling himself confederate666, I go down right away to a link that is in the message and I see that his rank avatar has been changed to this red text image that said something about pie and he was outraged about it. He was also complaining about him editing his posts to the point where they where making him sound like he was talking like a lune. They even put a word filter on his account to where some of what he was saying would be changed on the spot for example "That episode was the one that got me" would be changed to "That bait was the one that hooked me" not an actual change but an example of what they where doing. Then the head administrator bans him with this hole laundry list full of reasons why he's getting rid of him. Being disrespectful to staff was not listed because in retrospect, you can see they had something to hide. I confronted the one of them about it, and their saying don't be quick to judge what you don't understand but they didn't know that I had already been throw similar situations on IGN.com and told them that I see what's going on, I've already passed my judgment and your the ones at fault. What I noticed straight off was that other members where siding with them, not because they feared what would happen to them but because they hated the guy. From the time he was banned to the time I was banned I fought long and hard to get them to admit that they where at fault and to lift the ban against him. Now during this time, a third member named videogamer gets banned by one of the staff and the head administrator lifts his ban for reasons I still don't fully know but then that same administrator who banned videogamer in the first place comes back a month later and bans him again without reason. One day, I decide to help them out when someone posted a youtube video that sounded pretty treating and just recently some members signed in and there systems where infected with a virus; but the thing is this guy never sent me a reply when I tried to contact him throw the youtube account that he or she never sent me anything. While I was off the forum I got to know confederate666 a bit more, his real name is Lance Conner. He's a professional wrestler for a small promotion up in Canada. Then Back in March, I was on Yahoo Messenger with him and he pointed out another link, this time it was the thread that Jadeite2 was forcing these to members to make all these posts within 24 hours or they would be banned, he didn't want anyone else replying on the thread accept for those two. This outraged me to end I posted a reply telling him that he had gone too far. He then branded me with the same Rank Avatar that he gave to Lance, he was giving it to everyone who told him to stop. He then said that if anyone else posted on that thread besides those two members they would be banned on the spot so that was when I filed my report against him. Now I know, that on any public forum that if it's against the rules to file reports or complaints against the staff then you know something is going on there. There was no rule against filing reports against the staff, the forum rules encouraged members to report anyone in violation of the rules. Now the staff ultimately have to set themselves to a high standard, I can see that's being done here but it's was not being done there and as you can see it's still hasn't change. Because if they decided to set themselves to a higher standard then I know for sure that my ban there would have been lifted by now. They think they can just treat people like trash there and get away with it because they have the power and the authority to do whatever they want and that bothers me. What bothers me about it now is that I can't do anything about it. There is no website or group that I can contact that would come down on these guys. Once I saw what they where doing to Lance, I didn't know if I wanted to stay. As you can see, even though it was a good time for me, it just didn't end well.
  13. I wasn't lying, it is for everyone. Call me a liar and I'll call you a dead man. Does anyone know what he was reported for? He was forcing two other members of that forum to make 200 or more posts in a single thread within 24 hours or they would have been banned. Since Jadeite2 is not the head administrator, I filed a report against him for his boss to follow up on. He didn't like the fact that he was being told on, his actions where like that of a kindergarten student being told on to the teacher and then beating me up because in his eyes, I'm a tattle tale. If you want to know more about it, ask another guy who knows this retard too well, you'll find him here
  14. Did you read my post? You have me convinced, Joe_Cracker. I want to help. Please send me your art and I promise to keep it secretory between the two of us.

  15. Because NES artwork is more complex then 2600 artwork. Q: How many homebrew titles do you expect to sell? A: If your talking about the number of units, I can't give you a number at this point. I do have 3 in a planning stage. Q: In your games, how many pixels across is the player and in how many colours. How many sprites on screen in total? A: Well, all I know is that I'm going to do the artwork. The resolution that I will be working at will be 160x144 which is the same as both the Game Boy and the Game Gear and is somewhat less then the 2600's 160x172. The idea behind that is to someday port these 3 titles to one of the two handheld systems. In most cases I'm going to do full size images and it will be up to my partner in crime to split them up into sprites because all 3 of them are being simplified in that manner. If you want to see what I got, you need to swear to secretory when you send me a private message. There will be a contract with an escape clause if you want to pull out, you'll be signed to work with me on all three titles. Well, that girl could go on forever. I know she has enough popcorn, this thread has no end in sight. Makes me want some popcorn. I'm gonna go pop me some right now.
