Hi guys, I sort of...forgot about this stuff. I literally only come to Atari Age for this thread so I sometimes get side tracked. I should be able to do something in August. This weekend is vintage racing at Waterford.

Tempest and I have gone to that show for the two or three years. Its not that awesome in itself so maybe making a group event out of it would be a good idea. I can't stay out late that night since I have to be at the race track the next morning, but usually we're back from Cleveland before dark anyway. If we want to do something on another weekend I can hold the event at my house as I have in the past. Usually in that event we meet at Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor. Harry: I apologize for the problem last time. Tempest and I met that day and didn't go to Pete's because not a single person confirmed they were coming, including you. As far as we knew it was just him and me, and we decided to do something else...I don't even remember what it was. We probably just did stuff at my place. I'd love to have you over again...at least so you can show me how to use that GBA flash cart I got from you. I'm the dumb!

Sorry! As far as I knew nobody was coming so Tempest and my girlfriend and I just went to dinner. You have to let us know if you are coming to these things!

Ok, so how about we meet at Pinball Pete's at 3:00 on Saturday, the 14th of July? Unless we are wanting to go some place else. Afterwards we go to my place and play video games. I should have three monitors set up, at least. Sometimes trading/buying/selling also happens.

So are we doing this at Tempest's place or mine? I recently got (another) Laserdisc player, for those that care, and this one is a total friggn' mind blower.

There is definitely something happening in July 14, although I don't know exactly what yet.

Basically we meet someplace like Pinball Pete's and anyone who doesn't seem too psychotic or larcenous is invited over for more console stuff, etc at someone's house. Our standards aren't too high though since we even let Chris come over and he doesn't believe in dinosaurs.

It looks like Jboy and wife will be visiting my place on the weekend of the 13-15 of July so it might work if we combine this with a meet-up. My house is huge, but my game room is tiny. I can expand into other rooms though since there are plenty of TVs.

Some of us are going to the Cleveland game show next weekend. We haven't been up to much lately. People are too lame/busy/spread-out to make things happen easily/often.

Well, its not really "at" the university. Its in a shopping plaza, although the school pretty much runs the town so its all a matter of perception, I guess.

OK, evidently this was a very stupid idea I had and I just didn't know it. I tried getting downtown today only to discover the city had been completely overtaken by sports fans. I gave up and went home after spending a half hour stuck in traffic. I'll be building models instead.

I'll be free all weekend, pretty much, I think.

I wasn't there that day, but I did go last week when I was downtown to see Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame. The new Tron pinball machine has been fixed. I actually quite like this game but the side gutters are merciless. They are the new adjustable kind set at the medium distance. I'd to try to survive with them fully open.

Yeah, and Tempest and I are both doing the same thing out of town. Kind of a date... If you are there really late maybe we can swing by.

I think there are still tickets. Dalum and Bride of Dalum are going, so is my girlfriend.

Since I was without power for two days I took an extended trip downtown to Pete's yesterday. They do have the new Tron pinball, but unfortunately it was broken. They also have the new Rolling Stones machine. Unfortunately it was not broken. With so few pins being made these days its truly sad that one was wasted like this. I realize, and anyone who plays pinball realizes, that the subject matter of a pinball machine is not important. I loathe NASCAR, yet I love the NASCAR pinball machine. With the case of the Rolling Stones though...seriously, screw those guys. I'd rather play an Al Qaeda machine. I played a lot of Ms Pac Man. I played some Donkey Kong with a greater emphasis on score, as opposed to survival, and basically died a lot. As usual, Scud Race, Tron, Daytona 2. Attack from Mars has a dead bumper in the upper right which not only lowers one's score but also leads to the ball getting stuck up there and the player risking a Tilt trying to dislodge it. Medieval Madness has new flippers installed, which according to the note attached are "stronger than Sir Lancelot", so if you are a fan of that game be sure to give it a try. Third Strike still has garbage controls. Anyone want to take up a collection for quality sticks for this game? I can play SFII with garbage controls, but SFIII just needs the best you can get.

Pshhh... ain't got no 360. Please. My newest system is the Wii, and the 2nd newest is the GC. I do have a PS2 with Neo Geo Battle Coloseum, KOF XI and KOF 98 UM (although I prefer the original). I also have a Saturn with Street Fighter Zero, Zero 2, Super Turbo, Pocket Fighter, Waku Waku 7, all KOFs, MSHvsSF, Puzzle Fighter and probably more. I also have Gundam Battle Assault for PS1 (pretty cool). Then there is the DC with CvS2, MvC2, etc. I'm sure I have a lot more, I just can't remember them.

My girlfriend works 12s all weekend so we can do this at my place, but we'll have to start no earlier than 6:30, which...is fine by me but others might want to start earlier. As for the games: I have tons of them. I don't think any of them are "modern" but there they are. I'll bring any systems needed for them. Most are for Saturn, but I have some PS2, and then of course there is the Neo. I also have some sticks.
