  1. Well here goes my wild guess. At first i thought the A-Team but there were on 4 so my next guess would be Flash Gordon who did both the movies and tv here are the cast: Buster Crabbe [Flash Gordon] Jean Rogers [Dale Arden] Charles Middleton [Ming the Merciless] Priscilla Lawson [Princess Aura] Frank Shannon [Dr Alexis Zarkov] I've spent waaaaaaay too much time on this, I sure hope I'm right
  2. I'm in SE Pennsylvania and I've been on a wicked dry spell and I refuse to buy anything off ebay. I think when we eventually thaw out in the spring the yard sales will start producing. Been to a few indoor flea type markets, this winter, and nothing promising as of yet.
  3. Thanks! excellent advice thus far. Still not sure if I have the cahonies to try my hand a restoring. I'm not the most electrically inclined, but I do enjoy a good "project"
  4. I'll be in the market late spring/early summer (planning on moving to a bigger house at that time - more room for "stuff"!) and I got the go ahead that there will be in fact a "gameroom" allowed in the new house. Was thinking about a couple classic games(pac man, galaga, donkey kong etc etc) I could store the machine here at work if prices seemed to be cheaper during the winter time or do the prices pretty much remain constant? Thanks!
  5. crap. I should've waited to make my prediction closer to the date! d'oh!
  6. Decathlon is trully one of the best games which best represented the actual task at hand.. especially the long distance run at the end. This is simply a classic. The endurance needed for a long distance run has been matched by challenging players to excel by being the best at enduring the joystick. Muscles burn, sweat begins to drip into your eyes, your heart racing as you hope to near the finish line. My kids love this game as well.
  7. I'm not a scientist nor do I play one on T.V. However, I deal with alcohol related inks which adhere to plastics. Alcohol will deface(or erase) solvent based inks which are applied to plastic. I realize that some labels are paper so it may not deteriorate that much. I'd still use caution and perhaps delute(cut) the alcohol by at least 75% Considering the age of the Atari cartridges I can only assume that the inks which were used would be solvent or lead based inks.. Water will damage over time, where as solvent will damage immediately..
  8. Cassidy, what an awesome collection! I am sickly jealous! How long have you been seriously collecting? And can I come over and play?
  9. Absolutely wonderful! I must say, this has been the most generous, well thought out, contest i have been involved in. Nice job Snider-man!! We appreciate it!
  10. i'll pick Pitfall II since I'd love to have this game

  14. Yeah, me too(hence the subject posted here) Unfortunately I think it came down to name recognition, and the demographics for gamespy, most would have no clue what adventure is. I thought it to be funny
  15. Funny "article" on gamespy about the 2600. Don't forget to vote for the bat! I can't link the actual article, but it's on the www.gamespy.com front page, along the left side near the bottom. Look for the "Gamespy Grudge"
  16. I thought I'd post stating that I found zero, nada, nothing, zilch this weekend. I notice some people post all their wonderful finds (and I don't blame them) for the weekend, and I thought it would be nice to show those who get discouraged, that there are others who strike out Went to 3 antique shops(wifey picked up some old bisquet maker.. wtf??) and my son did find 15 Hardy Boys book for 20 bucks. also went to 2 flea markets and a goodwill store, no games what so ever. Better luck next time
