I think they need to rename the internet to "Anger Generator 9000," because it seems that's all it's good for anymore.

Porn isn't angry, hahaaha. Neither is online shopping, of which I'm doing more of since I don't want to hang out in a hospital. I would add fantasy sports as a benefit but that is going down the toilet for the moment.
But it is what you make of it. Don't be an asshole, don't let assholes get you upset, everything goes pretty smoothly. The anonymity and distance convinces closet assholes to reveal themselves, allowing you to remove them from the give a shit list. I see that as a positive, less people to be concerned about, I had my doubts about that guy but now they are confirmed, etc.

Call me old fashioned, but on Facebook I prefer to only be friends with (a) people I know in real life or (b) people I have previously interacted online with in any significant amount. People in category © who may share interests with me or know one of my friends are not that meaningful for me to befriend.

Agreed. I'm not even on Facebook (or Twitter or Instagram) just to avoid that crap. I have my friends' phone numbers and email addresses, I don't want to have that "Why didn't you friend me, are we not friends?" conversation. Once you get past like the 20-50 real friends and close relatives you know, the rest are just people who will probably take something you say the wrong way because they don't actually know you well. It also avoids stupid politics and religion...

Why is it people always wait until there's a 100% chance of rain to put their CRTs out on the curb? We could have a 6 month drought and no one would put them out, but it looks like a downpour, "Geez, I better put my old TV out on the curb. F anyone who might want it." I saw a great Toshiba yesterday that I would have grabbed if it wasn't drenched.

Every time I see an album remixed and re-released with more material, I think of adding monkeys and a hot air balloon to the Mona Lisa. Put that crap in a box set but leave finished albums alone!

Assuming the remastering doesn't brickwall the songs I see no problem with remasters. Remixes are rare and, as you say, an abomination if the original mixes aren't also included. The 25th Anniv. version of Slide It In from Whitesnake is a good example of how to do it right, US and UK versions together.
