  1. Saw the Duckymomo episode of Phineas and Ferb today and made me think of this picture.

  2. It's amazing what you start finding when you are cleaning... Wouldn't be surprised if I don't find the Ark of the Covenant or the Map to Atlantis shows up next. Crazy.

  3. Well, just saw a commercial for a new remake of an old sport. Full contact jousting will be coming to National Geographic next week. Insane. I wonder if they are going to have sponsored horse skirts and armor? Go Red Bull/Microsoft knight!

  4. Ok, They are gone. If i have anything else, I will put it up. Thanks.
  5. Thanks to all the Vets out there who have served. Veteran's Day not only reminds us to celebrate our veterans, but also reminds us of the termination of one of the most brutal wars to ever hit humanity, WWI. Unfortunately, "the war to end all wars" didn't stop the conflict between nations. Hopefully in the next century, the idea to stop warfare will grab hold, and Veteran's day will be a holiday for old people instead of everyone, becoming an idea lost to time...

  6. Happy birthday to all Marines! 236 years and still running strong!

  7. Word from ESPN: Paterno fired. Graham Spanier resigned. Bradley will take over as head coach of the Nittany Lions.

I am glad that comic book character looking old man got fired. Seriously, who would'nt have have called the cops after being told what he was told? And I hope the pussy that told Paterno what was happening in the shower gets his ass raped for not trying to stop what was going on.

  8. What the hell!!?!?!?!???!?!?! Is Clinton seriously trying to get the 22nd Amendment repealed? What a pompous ass! If George Washington thought that two terms was enough for a US president to sit, who in the hell does Bill Clinton think he is, Vladimir Putin? Ridiculous. What's worse is I am watching supposed conservatives agree with this! Extending terms is one more step towards dictator for life. All one needs to do to see this is look at consul appointments for the end of the Roman Re...

  9. Hey all. I have 2 Atari 400s I have kept around for parts/repair, but have never got around to using/fixing. If anyone wants them, I would be willing to get rid of them for a few bucks plus shipping. I think one has a problem with the RAM or ANTIC (Garbled Screen), the other one doesn't power up. They are full machines. There are no power bricks with them. If you are interested in them as parts machines/fixeruppers, just msg me. First one to respond with their address and a reasonable (any) offer will get them. I'd hate to throw them away. Thanks. Cliff
  10. For anyone interested, I went with Avery 22805 labels. They're 1.5" square, seem to be made to hold up, but peel off easily if you need to (I have several times without marks of any kind. They're about $15 for 600 labels. They have word templates for them if you need it. Hope this helps anyone who is thinking of setting up inventory for their games and equipment.
  11. I normally will sell/give them to Al and others to use for carts or for things like the lamps.
  12. Hi all. I am looking into using QR codes to inventory my game collection and was wondering if anyone had an idea of what labels would be good to use. I want the labels to stick, but not so much that they leave part of the adhesive or the label itself should I (or someone else) choose to remove them. I would also like to print at least 36 to a sheet. If anyone has an idea I would appreciate it. The other option is to label the containers that have the stuff in them, but then you run into the problem of having to reprint and restick them if you move the things inside the boxes around. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks. Cliff
  13. Had a good day today. Landed a slim PS2 with games and 4 controllers for $15, a Namco/Jakks Ms-Pacman handheld for $3, a Knex Rollercoaster Set complete in the box for $4, and a couple of Tiger Video Nows (one b/w and one color) for $7 total.
  14. No, it's the plastic container that you use to store the 2600 and the carts in when you put it under the TV. Typical 80s type smoked plastic/woodgrain atari style box. I will take a pic of it tonight and put it up. I don't think I will sell it though.
  15. Thanks. I may just keep it then. I like the 2800 look that it has and you never know when the 7800 may crap out.
  16. Hey everyone. Recently received a Sears Video Arcade II system with the sticks, power supply, and the container that held the machine and the carts. Was wondering if anyone could give me a roundabout price for what this would sell for. Checked ebay and the prices range from $25-75. I planned on just selling the system and the container, but can throw in some commons if it would help. Anyway, let me know what you think. I appreciate it. If possible, I will post up some pics later. Thanks. Cliff
  17. Use virtualbox and you can setup 95 on it without having to have a whole new machine.
  18. Just wanted to let you know that I will probably not be able to attend on Saturday. My wife works this weekend and I probably will not be able to find someone to watch the kids. If things change though, I will let you know. I really do want to come up.

  19. Yeah, we contacted all kinds of people for the show multiple times. They would say they wanted in and were ready to work with us, then would back out on the second call when it was time to put money down. Not sure why. We noticed this with multiple sales reps also, so I don't think it was that they didn't like a particular person or sales idea. I am not sure what caused it. When we would ask, they would clam up or say something to the effect of "we don't have money" or "our manager didn't like the idea". As for timeframe, we gave them until 2 months before the show to decide and notified them as early as November of last year so they would be prepared. Coming up on the month of April, we only had one committed party and a brick wall for everyone else. At that point, I decided that without vendor interest, we just weren't going to have the quality of show I wanted to have. I also felt from an ethical standpoint that I couldn't, in good faith, have a bunch of people come to a show that didn't measure up. I was asking them for money and I wanted them to leave having felt that they got a good convention and experience for their cash. With all this said, while the convention died this time, that doesn't mean the whole idea is shot. I have a lot of people who contacted me after the cancellation and told me they really wanted a show in the area. With that in mind, I may try to get things going again with something smaller, see if the people really show up, and then go from there. Maybe something where people can play the consoles and machines, maybe buy something small to eat, look at a museum of old stuff (I almost have one of those myself), and maybe get together with some friends. Something small and informal. Cliff
  20. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like DCAGE will be cancelled this year due to lack of vendor interest. It's a shame as there seemed to be a lot of customer interest in the convention. If anything changes in the next few days, I will make sure to post. I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to coming. Cliff
  21. Thanks. I am surprised they are basically charging $10 to get in. If the prices are good, I guess it is worth it.
  22. I have a similar issue with some plastic bins I use. They have a weird smell to them if you let stuff sit in them for a while, but you don't see any sort of degradation of the plastic or anything that would make it smell. It's strange. I have thought about not using them anymore, but they literally are the perfect size for most cartridge based systems and can stack quite well.
  23. Picked up this auction today. Should give me the opportunity to use the driving wheel and pedals and give people a chance to play dreamcast games at the DCAGE expo. I also thought $4/game wasn't too bad for what really is a beginner's collection. Let me know what you guys think: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 400197265406
  24. No games, but I got the wheel, pedals, 2 controllers, a working memory card, a modem, and the unit itself. In the pic before the guy sent it, it was pristine. Because of the pack job though, it ended up as I said. I have got it back close to what it was in the pic. Need to clean up the controllers and a little more on the console and it should be good. Unit powers up, but obviously I can't test it until I get the new video cable.
