  1. Yeah! I really like these also. Only issue is I now have many of the large old-school 8-bit cart boxes. Anyone know who sells protectors for these?
  2. I just got in a XE and some new carts. I thought I would give everyhing a test run. I put in Gato, and Missle Command comes up. WOW!!! A ROM in the wrong case! Very Rare! I put in One-On-One. MISSLE COMMAND AGAIN! Wait a minute! This guy sold me a bunch of carts with the ROM swaped out! Desert Falcon goes in. SAME THING! wait a minute.... Stupid XE cart slot is more touchy the an 25 year old Activision game in a Sears 2600!! I assume Missle Command is a default game if the XE thinks there is no game in the slot. I am an idiot... 3. Just wanted to post a quick follow up. The seller agreed that they messed up and refunded a chunk of the money without me having to ship back. I get to keep the 400 for parts. A least I got back what I feel is fair but... There is a small void in the Atari Universe left behind by this brave little 400 that will never get the chance to grow up into an 800... sniff sniff... 4. Ah! but they are! That is the genius behind this closet. All the video runs to one hub on the other side of the XL and then out to the TV. If I need to use the 800, it just picks up and moves in front of the TV. That is why I needed the 5 foot SIO cable. Here is a better setup picture.
  5. Coming along nicely I would say.
  6. Heh... It would have taken a WMD to crack the packaging around the Air Raid cartrige..
  7. I am going through all the steps one by one like eBay wants me too. I sent a message to the seller asking what he wants to do blah blah blah... It is not worth the cost to ship it back because I will still end up with a loss on the deal. Again, I was rollig the dice a little on a newbie seller and I was prepared for a certain amount of newbienes (slow shipping, incorrect listing etc). But cramming a 400 into a box that is way too small... COME ON!!!
  8. Some of it is my fault because I rolled the dice on an eBay seller with a feedback score of 24. BUT come one! Any idiot knows you can't ship a computer inside a box that is SMALLER than the computer itself. He put the 400 in at an angle but all four sides were touching the outside box. During shipment it got smashed. I am not too mad because I paid less than $30 but I hate losing a perfectly good 400 because someone is a dumbass. So, I got extra part for a 400 if anyone needs some.... Pictures:
  9. Last I read he was still trying to clear a path to his barn. Maybe a tiger ate him.
  10. Anyone got a copy of the instructions for this game? Or a link to one? I really liked this as a kid but I have no idea what is what with out the guide. Thanks! Tanman
  11. hehe.. Cool to see! That wooden box underneath it is one of the 3 boxes I shipped it in.. Tanman Yes it is.....I am using the box to transport the game for now; that was a nice touch Tanner!! The wooden box was the last line of defense. Whatever horror was to befall the the item, it was up to the fortified inner core to with stand the onslaught... HAHAHA!!

  13. I didn't have the XL when I needed the SIO cable. You have become my cable savior! Tanner
  14. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260581739600 This is not a 400/800 power cable. It looks more like a 800xl. Can anyone confirm?
  15. Need the power cable and the cable to connect it to the TV. Let me know! Thanks! Tanman
  16. Reason he is not posting a list is because large chunk are duplicates. I count 6 pacmans, 5 combats, 4 mouse traps, 2 bowling and 4 of someting else I cant make out but the labels match. Two are side by side on the second row on the top left. That makes at least 21 duplicates.
  17. You will sell me your 8-bit CIB carts... You will sell me your 8-but CIB carts... I will pick them up when I come over to play 1942... Tanman
  18. Ok, going into the last 24 hours on my auction. Have not bumped it in over five days so I figure you won't get too mad.
  19. Ok, first off let me know if you find this annoying and want me to stop posting this. Second, let me know if should post it elsewhere. I have continued unboxing everything from my garage. It is almost like I am digging up an ancient city as the deeper I go, the farther back in my lifetime I go. I thought I would post some of the interesting things that I am unearthing. Last week I posted an old pong machine I had. Today, I am posting a Star Wars comic from 1977. It was created by Marvel. Something unique is it is an extra large comic, 13 inch length. I was not able to find anything in the 5 minutes I looked on the internet but I probably was not on the right web pages. Let me know if you want me to post more pictures. Anyone have extra info?
  20. I am purchasing some blank 5 1/4 floppies to use in my 810 and 1050. Does it matter if I buy DD or HD? Tanner
  21. Not to be needy but is anyone tracking the different case types per game? Black label, silver label, XE etc etc
  22. Rainbows also mean there is a pot of gold... Discuss...
  23. Cool items!! Welcome to AA! Tannan
