Cool, I wish there was an equivalent for the 26/7800

Yeah I wish we had Atari consoles like this....and Colecovision. :D

  2. Not sure how I missed that this is available for sale now. Any plans for an online purchase option for Canadian customers?
  3. Holy crap! Sony's E3 conference was awesome!

I really like the reboot of God of War. And the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy was huge news

Heck yeah it was! I was really just looking forward to E3 for Nintendo's new games and wasn't expecting much from the other companies this year, but I think Sony really knocked it out of the park and stole the show with their presentation tonight. The Last Guardian, Resident Evil VII, Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered all knocked my proverbial socks off!

  4. MameSDL is what you need. The MAME website has links to where you can download compiled binaries. You'll just need a separate front-end, for which I'd suggest QMC2.
  5. What's your issue with using Paypal?
  6. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/127752-flashcart-and-multicart-list-all-systems/
  7. I backed it, but I'm not buying the Sept delivery date. If the money is only handed over at the end of June, that doesn't leave a lot of time to build everything.
  8. I don't use cheques and am simply not comfortable sending a money order. My standard method of payment is using my credit card, with most purchases outside of major merchants being through PayPal.
  9. Too bad about PayPal. Unfortunately, that means I won't be able to buy one. That's a shame.
  10. So I tried to check out again, this time choosing a saved address instead of my 'Paypal Address' (they're both the same) and this time I got an economy shipping option for $6.90. Not going to question it. Placed an order for 2.
  11. Shipping cost from Play-Asia is ridiculous. I'll wait until they're available from Amazon or other sellers in North America.
  12. Now you can! http://gizmodo.com/wireless-adapter-lets-you-use-a-ps4-controller-on-your-1772053424 I love the 8BitDo controllers, so I'm definitely going to pick up a couple of these.
  13. If you want something with a keyboard, you can get a Pandora or wait for the upcoming Pyra.
  14. Looking forward to trying it. I'm hoping it's better than gameplay videos make it look, as it appears fairly generic.
  15. We'll simply have to agree to disagree. For me, it's my least favorite XB1 console exclusive. I don't find it quite as bad as The Order 1886 on PS4, but it comes close.
  16. What a horrible week ... Chyna, Prince, Lonnie Mack and now Michelle McNamara (Patton Oswald’s wife).

She looks like a buff xena! Anyone remember that show?

Xena was a pretty good show. Lucy Lawless is now in the series "Ash versus the Evil Dead" on Starz.

I have all 3 Evil Dead movies on blu ray. They did a nice job remastering them.

  17. All my game systems are in fully working order, with the exception of my Coleco Adam which needs a new Digital Data Pack Drive.
  18. Not that small a minority. About 1/4 of the user reviews on Meteoritic echo my issues with the game. Even some of the more positive review mention similar problems, the difference is that the issues didn't detract from their enjoyment of the game. You get a copy of the 360 version of Alan Wake with the game. That's a far superior game than Quantum Break.
  19. Anyone else pick up Quantum Break last week? I just finished it and really didn’t enjoy it much. At its best, it was an extremely mediocre game. Otherwise, it was either really boring or getting on my nerves due to the poor combat control. The game doesn’t even follow its own rules. For example, it shouldn’t be possible to fight using guns when time has stopped. It’s shown multiple times that dropping or throwing an object would simply find that object ‘floating’ and motionless. Sure, it’s just a video game, but things like this really stand out. Why not completely change the rules of engagement when time has stopped? Melee weapons only could have been interesting, but the combat system would still need a completely overhaul. The live action show felt absolutely pointless. I don’t feel it added anything over rendered cut scenes, which I would have greatly preferred. Like the game, the show is very poorly written, to the point where you can almost feel the actors squirming as they deliver their lines. It comes across as a low budget and immature production. After a single ~8 hour play-through, I have absolutely no desire to play it again with different choices. Given the 2 year delay for this game, it really should have been much better.
  20. Very disappointed with Quantum Break. It's such an extremely mediocre game. No excuse for that given the 2 year delay.

You wouldn't believe that judging by some of the reviews.

  21. The Toro box has a Euro SCART connector on it. All you need is a SCART adapter for the XRGB-mini and a SCART cable to connect to the box. You don't need to use the VGA port at all.
  22. Bought a Famicom Stack-Up set to go with my NES R.O.B. The Japanese release was far from cheap, but still significantly cheaper than the NA release.

Yup. I'll have a complete ROB set once this arrives.

  23. Nope. You can't say "I'm not saying you have to" after implying that everyone saying anything negative is wrong and only doing so because that's the in thing to do on the Internet. I've known people for years who've turned around and done some pretty bad stuff. I'm not going to ignore all the evidence they did bad things, just because I never had a bad experience with that person. You're ignoring all the facts and evidence that's available, simply because of this 'personal experience' you had with Mike 13+ years ago. I'm sorry, but that's simply ignorance on your part. There are people who know Mike a lot better than you ever have who have spoke against him because of this. Not sure why you feel your experience with him is able to completely negate what he's done.
  24. Do you have plans for any special projects with the shells? It would be cool if you could aquire a bunch of Flashback 2 boards, then wire in a cart slot and install in the Jag case.
  25. Since I was one of the 'top 25' at the time a while back, I feel I should make one last post as we've finally come to the end of this saga. Whether Mike specifically set out to create the fake prototypes, he's still fully responsible for them. Others have already hit the nail on the head that the leader is ultimately responsible for the failure of their team. I don't for a second buy the story that he was conned. There's absolutely no way he would be so naive, to ignore all the proof that was posted about the fake prototypes, after the mess the RetroVGS was. He knew what he was showing us, plain and simple. I also have a hard time believing that Mike didn't know about Sean Robinson, given his involvement in the arcade community. Even if he honestly didn't know about him, a simple Google search would have provided information which would have made it clear he was not someone to work with. What I am happy about is that Albert now has the moulds. That's great news, but I hope Mike doesn't expect to get any points from the community for this transaction. It was the only sane move, allowing him to recoup at least some of his money from this ridiculous venture. From my experience, the retro gaming community doesn't forget stuff like this. It's going to be hard for Mike to continue being an active member of the community he treated as chumps. I don't think we've heard the last of him though.
