  1. Good lord. As far as I'm concerned, this video undoes his previous apology. I can't believe the ignorance displayed here. He really does ultimately prove Pat was right in his callout.
  2. The funny thing is that the company who made the clone likely had the case made for a small fraction of the price Mike paid for the Jaguar molds.
  3. RETRO is certainly not "on the level". The magazine was nothing like what was promised and they've had nothing but problems getting issues out, with no communication to their backers.
  4. If it says "Where did you learn to fly?", I'll take three
  5. He hasn't taken money from customer yet, but I believe it's fact that he took money from his business partners. That was at least the case with the RetroVGS. I assume the same to be true regarding the Chameleon. I also wouldn't be surprised if Coleco Holdings put up some amount of cash, if only to bring him out to the Toy Fair. Hell, they let hi take up the majority of their booth, which I'm sure he didn't pay a penny for.
  6. You can pick up the same model of DVR card they used off eBay for about $40. You should buy a bunch and sell them as DIY prototype kits with random console shells
  7. I haven't been able to find any information about them. I'm personally hoping for exact replicas, similar to the Mattel reissues of their LED sports games.
  8. Can we please stop blaming everyone who happens to be affiliated in any way with Mike? This is getting to be ridiculous.
  9. What did he have to apologize for? I didn't think he was part of the CC team.
  10. You're definitely adding your own bias when reading his post. Did he make mistakes with the Retro VGS interview? He sure did. He didn't really defend them though. What he was guilty of was not asking the right questions. I don't believe that was on purpose and more that he didn't properly educate himself on what was actually being discussed within the community at this time. The 'which hunt' he refers to is about a certain group of people who are automatically attacking anyone associated with the project. The negativity towards companies like ColelctorVision and Piko Interactive has been way over the top. I don't believe his callout was out of line. Keep in mind that I say this as someone who is not at all a fan of Gamester81. I don't care for his videos at all, so I have no reason to stand up for him.
  11. He addressed all of that and apologized several pages back in this thread.
  12. Did they officially announce the re-release of the mini arcades? I was watching for news during the fair, but couldn't find any (still can't).
  13. There's absolutely nothing Coleco can say to defend any of the allegations around the shown 'prototypes'. At best, then can simply say that there is a working prototype which hasn't been shown and it means all their quality requirements.
  14. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Regardless, it's still fairly graphic and not something you'd generally want to see while browsing a retro gaming forum.
  15. While you definitely don't owe any of us anything, I hope that you'll choose to write that post one day.
  16. The reality is that you're one of the few who actually feel that way. Fact is, regardless of how terrible this whole situation was, it actually made me take a closer look at the games Piko offers and I will likely be ordering games from him in the future.
  17. You're taking this way too far. You're talking like this was just random guys who happened to decide to put a product on the market. This was actually two business, with an agreement in place to release games on an upcoming system. Piko did the right thing for his business by seeing how it all panned out. If Mike really did get all his ducks in a row for the Kickstarter, Piko would have benefited from the sale of his games. There's absolutely no reason for him to have prematurely thrown that away. He's obviously not supporting Mike any more, so I really don't understand what you keep going on about.
  18. I think you missed that the 'prototype' in that video is largely considered to be a fake as well.
  19. Where are you getting this? There was never any kind of working prototype for the system. Such prototypes only existed in Mike's imagination.
  20. I can't even imagine how this situation could possibly be worse
  21. They sure did. Here's the picture they took down: EDIT: Not sure why the image isn't displaying.
  22. A dev board running Windows 95? His 'prototype' wasn't on the up-and-up either.
  23. This could potentially be fairly serious for Mike. If River West Brands (or anyone else) has invested any money in Mike's business, he's at serious risk for having legal action taken against him for fraud.
  24. How do you think Kevin Bow is handling this news? Poor guy probably needs a hug.
  25. This honestly can't be happening. This is all a dream, right? I'm really having trouble processing this new development. I didn't trust Mike & Co at all, but I would have never guessed they'd have pulled something like this. Absolutely ridiculous!
