  1. I was fortunate enough to meet him in Phoenix back around 2016. We chatted over coffee about TI stuff and flying. Coincidentally we both flew the same aircraft, but for competing airlines. RIP Shack.
  2. Good work guys. After originally being in Phoenix for 5 years, I guess the name Heatwave is still applicable since it is still in a HOT state. I will give a call right after this.
  3. Hopefully that's the case, and no cards were damaged.
  4. Sorry to hear about the hardware problems. Tried to get on yesterday morning and evening, and figured something must be up.
  5. Do you think it could be the EZ-135 drive going bad, or perhaps the platter itself?
  6. Looks good, but I wonder why the white background colors aren’t showing up. If you look at the image in the text I sent you, you will see what I mean. That’s how it looked in Pablo Draw.
  7. Good to hear. I’m almost finished with a new ANSI, nothing major, just something for LOGINTRO or whatever. Shoot me a Softmail if you want something added (host name, location, whatever).
  8. Doesn’t sound like a heatwave to me. ??
  9. I would be up for this, if I’m not working.
  10. That’s a good question. I think it is on heatwave, but the file transfers are down. I could always send you a 5.25 floppy if needed.
  11. I have a 7-8 year old rev 5.0, and it is able to be powered directly from the SCSI cable, without an external power source. But like IM said, must depend on the particular unit. I would use MYS to format the drive(s), then CYA to remap them. My 3 SCSI drives are set as: SCS1 = SCSI ID 0 (this is SCSI2SD drive #1) SCS2 = SCSI ID 1 (SCSI2SD drive #2) SCS3 = SCSI ID 2 (SyQuest EZ 135)
  12. I found another disk with a game by him called “Newbert”. I’ll load it later, but I remember it’s a Q-Bert clone.
  13. Were you able to locate the cabling required to connect this to one of the compatible tape or disc players? It would be neat to get one up and running and some point. Mine works, and the controller’s BASIC program recognizes it, but there is nothing to do with it beyond that.
  14. Moon Patrol, even the though it’s a tad slow compared to the arcade version.
  15. I have a game on disk by Darin called Armor Ambush. I believe it is for ABASIC.
  16. Nice job everyone, some good presentations this morning.
  17. You will also need the Terminal Emulator II cartridge, if you don’t already have it.
  18. Don’t blame ya for keeping it off, 8CM515 is what I have too. The power button is shot, and requires that I wedge a piece of folded paper into the small gap in order to keep it on. The screen occasionally flickers, and the speaker crackles. Guess that’s to be expected for a 30+ year old monitor.
  19. Glad the downtime was short. Just called in and paged for a chat, but I forgot the SysOp is the cool guy who’s never around. LOL
  20. If you end up going to a non-TI for ANSI work, there is PabloDraw which is multi platform, Linux and Windows. I use AcidDraw, it is similar to the program Tim mentioned (The Draw) but on steroids. You’ll need to use a DOS computer, or DOSBox to run either The Draw or AcidDraw.
  21. Just gave a call, looks good. Didn’t notice any bugs, everything ran smooth.
  22. @Swim is the SysOp there, he can probably help with your password.
  23. Ahh yes, the joys of being a SysOp. lol
  24. Hmm, maybe a pure Assembly Heatwave running from the Geneve command line??
