  1. Unfortunately, the second 8K didn't copy correctly. Can you load F'WEB on your TI system?
  2. That dump is of the first of the two EPROMs and should be Bank 1. If you can specify a length of the dump in Force command, use 16K and you should get both banks.
  3. The programmer software has been updated to V 12.57 effective 5/24/2023. Approximately 120 new chips added. T48 Support List.txt T56 Support List.txt TL866II Support List.txt
  4. I think this is the latest .bin. expmemtest_2_2c.bin
  5. Yep. DSDD formats to 1440 sectors (2 reserved for the directory). The TOD disk is SSSD or 360 sectors. If the drives are half-height, the PEB will easily power two of them.
  6. My system is set up for convenience and not because of a malfunction. I have EVERYTHING plugged into a power strip. I turn on my system from there. That powers up everything EXCEPT for the console (which is supposed to be powered up last) and is OFF and must be turned on separately and a standalone 5.25" DSk3 and my printer which is seldom used these days. It has been set up this way for more than 20 years and has worked flawlessly.
  7. Have you checked continuity of your drive cables?
  8. Maybe this will help. TI-99-4A-FLOPPY-DRIVES-TI-99-v1.15-ALL.pdf
  9. Console ROMs can be replaced with TI TMS2532 EPROMs. I can provide them. However, check everything else first - it is usually something simple.
  10. I wonder if he will face charges for his CD/DVD pirating scheme which is the reason he fled Canada in the first place?
  11. The programmer software has been updated to V 12.55 effective 04/14/2023. Approximately 3,000 new chips added over the three platforms. T56 Support List.txt T48 Support List.txt TL866II Support List.txt
  12. FWIW, the utilities that you mentioned are availoable in TF. Have you checked Mark's TF website? Also, I simply hard-coded the menu options in block 1 and 2 so they appear on boot. Then you just select the one(s) you need with "x LOAD".
  13. I have always incorporated a MENU in the boot screen/ It looks like this:
  14. I found some typos and redundancies in the original text file so I have uploaded a corrected copy. Sorry for the errors. ROM only files.pdf
  15. In 1995, SNUG introduced the HSGPL Card for the TI-994/A. It provided 2 banks of RAM and 16 banks of GROM/ROM. Those 16 banks of GROM/ROM allow the user to load cartridge images that become selectable by any menu program that parses the GROM headers. Each of the banks can have a total of 4 ROMS (8K each for a total of 32K) and 5 GROMs (8K each for a total of 40K). The HSGPL that I had is currently undergoing repairs so I was forced to find an alternative. Michael Zapf was kind enough to include an accurate emulation of the device in MAME. I have been using it while I wait for my HSGPL to return. I was delighted to discover the MAME emulation is an accurate emulation of the original TI card. Rather than try to describe all of the HSGPL’s functions, I have limited this to some notes on the 16 banks of GROM/ROM on the card (files attached). Enjoy! 16. >The ones that I use on my PC are Dell-badged TEAC FD 05PUB 720/1.44 drives. There are multiple such drives on eBay for $10-$20 plus or without shipping. That is where I got mine.
  17. I use (and have for years) PC-TRANSFER to move files from a PC to a TI. I use a USB 720/1.44 3.5" drive that I format on the PC to 720 sectors with a small program. Copy the files to it and stuff it into my TI with a DSDD BWG controller (it will also work with a CorComp), select the appropriate conversion file, and go from there. BTW, the 720K maximum is not documented in the PC-TRANSFER docs. My TI drives are 3.5" drives as well.
  18. It can be found in their store: https://www.ebay.com/str/xgecuofficialstore
  19. I sent him both DSR chips and a couple of low-profile, machine pin sockets as he requested.
  20. The software has been updated to Vn 12.50 effective 02/16/2023. A couple hundred new chips added to both the T56 and T48 suppport lists and about 70 to the TL866II. TL866II Support List.txt T48 Support List.txt T56 Support List.txt
  21. I recently gave up my home phone landline. So, I no longer have access to TI BBSes via my TI setup and modem. I have the Telnet Client enabled on my laptop. Is there a comprehensive list of Telnet IP addresses that I can use to log in and access them from my Laptop?
  22. If you need DSR replacements, I can burn those EPROMs - either normal 40 trk or any combination of 80-trk drives.
  23. As our small community ages, I fear that it will only get smaller. So long, Beery!
