  1. Why is Pacland so expensive now for Lynx

goofy attempt at a platform game that's not much fun, but maybe it's becoming increasingly rare? I know I wouldn't pay much for it.

most lynx stuff is getting more expensive like every other console

  2. This is mentioned on the Sega Retro site. Is it rarer than the Aiwa Mega CD though?
  3. I'm really angry, I want Atari the way it was... And I need sleep.

  4. is taking over the 600xl.

  5. is taking over the 600xl.

  6. Yeaaaaay, the new switch works. Back to pacman and missle command!
  7. The eBay guy is getting a new switch sent off. Out of the ten games I got eight I really wanted and the other two I haven't played before. I hope it works.
  8. It puts off around 14 volts which should be regulating properly. It is part number c018187 as listed in the FAQ. Audio and video did work fine for a few seconds until the switchbox clicked. I noticed on the board that there is a RCA jack internally. Does it also output rf?
  9. I got the power supply yesterday and the system worked for a few seconds and then the switchbox clicked and there was no video. The system was still on though. I think the ac damaged the switchbox but not the system.
  10. Thanks for the help guys. No power light ever came on, I informed the guy on ebay I got it from waht the part number for the ac adapter was. He'll hopefully send it soon. I just want to play Pacman. ooh ADD. Just cross my fingers and hope the proper ac adapter allows it to work! I got some good games I want to play.
  11. I just bought a 5200 on ebay with ten games. It's the four port model. When I hooked it up it would not power on. After some looking at part numbers and voltages I discovered that they gave me an ac adapter from an atari 400/800 computer which outputs AC instead of DC which is what it is supposed to take. Tested the ac adapter anyway and it doesn't even reach 9 volts ac but only 1 volt. Is there any alternate power supply I can use to test the system to make sure it works?
  12. As soon as I'm done moving I'll get my camera out and take a photo.
  13. I just found my wife's 2600 in her closet. A sad darth vader system with lots of dust and a little copper wire hanging out where the phono end goes into the switch box. I can easily repair that but when I opened the system to find spider webs and cleaned almost everything I noticed something. I'm not that good at identifing certain electronic components, but in between the power input and right difficulty switch is maybe a resistor. The wire closest to the end of the board looks like it has rust where it touches the board but looks alright underneath the board. Could it actually be rust or can an eraser get rid of it like on the contacts on carts. I guess what I really want to know is what this part is for. And if it is too hard to replace in case the rust doesn't come off the board. I guess I could try the 2600 as is but I don't want to damage any games. I can play 2600 games on the 7800 if not.

I'm new here. Just looking for friends in the Atari community. For the longest time I've only ever had the Jaguar. A great system but it was getting lonely, so I decided to get a 7800. Found one on ebay with Xevious. The one game I wasn't able to get from my cousin when he sold his old NES games. Also found the 2600 version of Pacman for 50 cents with box and manual at a thrift store. Actually my wife found it, great woman. Well her family was over. I was playing Xevious upstairs and both her younger brother and cousin begged to play. Her brother tried to beat my high score while her cousin just kept begging. Both are in there early teens. I never had this with my newer consoles. It's strange how Atari has the effect.
  15. There is the GP2x, it has a 7800 emulator that will run on it and according to the reviews runs them very well.
