  1. The LED light doesn't come on and I don't see a change in signal on channel 3 and 4. I heard that the 5200 adapter is the best one to use if you don't have the actual one. I don't know if it is the system or the original adapter. My brother has a 5200, I could try to grab the adapter next time I see him. Any ideas?
  2. I recently acquired an Intellvision 2 and didn't include any games or the power supply so I went out and bought the official AC adapter. I don't have any games to test it with. Does anyone know if the system powers up without a cart in there similar to Atari Jaguar?
  3. I just got a Commodore 128 from a garage sale. It included controllers, software, and 2 floppy disk drives. One is for 3.5 inch and the other is for 5.25 inch disks. Is there anyway to program games onto the floppy disks? I have a windows based computer that has a 3.5 inch floppy disk drive if that helps with the process. What is the best way to get Commodore roms from a modern PC onto floppy disks that work on a Commodore 128.
  4. It has the region sticker on the back to comfirm that it is NTSC. The picture doesn't roll when playing. The casing itself is a BOMB cartridge. I wonder if the label is a repro. The label has more gloss than my other games. It's peeling on the top. The label feels stiff like the Parker Brothers game labels.
  5. Is there a reason why that the label is slightly different; particularly the bottom part of the label?
  6. You think this is an NTSC cart? Have you come across them before?
  7. I just need some help to determine if this is an NTSC version or not. Thank you!
  8. I recently acquired a lot of Atari 2600 games. One of them in the lot was Great Escape. I know that the NTSC version is quite rare, but no one really helped indicated how to tell the copy is an NTSC version. I looked all over. Anytime something does show it, its the boxart only not the cart itself. I tested the game on an Atari 2600 using RF and an Atari 7800 using composite. I used two different TVs. On both of them, the picture didn't roll and the colors looked pretty faithful to those of the screenshots online. This game comes in a special Bomb cartridge in which Bomb is inprinted on the backside and both sides have ridges. On the back of the cart, it says Hong Kong in tiny letter near the top. I heard games made by Bomb were made using Eproms. The cart is still working so nothing has deteriorated yet. Here are the details of my copy that's different from the PAL copy that usually comes up - There is a black sticker on the back which states Q.C. PASSED N not Q.C. PASSED P - Underneath "Copyright by Onbase CO. LTD" it doesn't say "Printed in Hong Kong CA282" - The label looks a bit glossy and saturated. I attached some pictures.
  9. So pretty much I cannot plug a 2600 controller into the keypad. Damn that sucks.
  10. I recently ordered a wico keypad. It comes with the keypad and a y-cable. It is it required that I use the wico joystick with it? I saw a forum thread that was made about this topic earlier this year, but it didn't give a clear answer.
  11. What do I need to do in order to modify a 6 button controller to work on the 5200. I don't want to build an adapter or setup box. I just want to build the controller. I I attempted to rewire the individual cables of the 5200 cable to the genesis controller. I know what the functions are for each color of both controllers. I know which cable is the ground on both, but nowhere I looked mentions the power of the 5200 controller. It says nothing where I look, but pin-12 is power. Pin-15 is the ground which I know and I know the Genesis one too. I also know the Genesis's power cable.
  12. By any chance would you know the color-coded pinout for a six button genesis controller?
  13. Does anyone know what the color-coded wires are for the Atari 5200 pinout. I searched online and I could only find what each pin does. I want to know what color is associated with each pin. I am making my y-cable. I have a male to female 15-pin cable and a y-cable with 15-pin female and with two 9-pin males. I have some 5200 controllers and plenty of 9-pin controllers.
