Working from home. Using VNC over VPN so I can ARD into a computer that used to be right next to me in my office. Turning slightly to my right somehow seemed easier than all of this does.

It's raining, and the ceiling is leaking again. On the plus side, the rain has quieted down the bees that have taken up residence in my bathroom ceiling. #apartmentliving

I was going to stop at the donut shop on the way home, but their sign only said "Ope". So I guess I'll try again later.

If I can play all of my CDs backwards... I just doubled my music collection!

I wonder if Adobe ever tests their software before unleashing it on the public? Probably saves them a lot of time and money to have paying customers find all of their bugs for them. #IHateAdobeMustBeADayThatEndsInY

That article is a good start, although it only scratches the surface. Their support for enterprise and educational customers is absolutely abysmal. When they pushed out CC 2019 a year ago, the licensing broke for labs. They've since removed their document warning administrators, but it said, in part:
"What happens if I try to update lab environments to Creative Cloud 2019?
First, please do not attempt to upgrade lab environments to Creative Cloud 2019 at this time as, unfortunately, Creative Cloud 2019 is not currently available for labs. If you attempt to update shared environments (labs and classrooms) to Creative Cloud 2019, the apps installed on a machine will run in trial mode."
They posted this after CC 2019 shipped. It took months for the licensing issues to get sorted out.
Photoshop 2020 was a train-wreck of bugs and crashes when it shipped in the fall. We're still patching it.

Finally cancelled Netflix today after months of not watching anything on it. Felt good! Tempted to sign up for other streaming services so I can feel good about cancelling them, too.

I'm thankful that Champ Games is making Gorf Arcade for the 2600!

Gorf Arcade? HELL YEAH!!!
@CPUWIZ Me neither! Even when I ate meat, I thought turkey sucked...A lump of dry flavorless tranquilizer so bad you had to add gravy before it was even lightly edible! No thanks.

Fall colors in Southern California... the orange of the brush fires... the brown of the smoke... the white of the ash falling...

Stay safe, I know what it is like to get rained on by ash. I still don't know how the hell they saved our town, EVERYTHING around it burned to the ground. Most insane experience ever, looking at the burn map, closing in. My entire town of 7000 people was completely surrounded by the fire. I guess enough super rich people live here and it is the home of Johnny Cash. LOL

Well, that was disappointing. I thought it was supposed to be "The Great Make-Out".

It's brush fire season again in Southern California. Most other places in the U.S. just call it "fall".

Finally! Monty Python's Flying Circus, fully restored and coming out on Blu-ray!

Tonight will likely be Felix Hernandez's final game as a Mariner. He carried the team for years during his prime and never got to the playoffs. But he's a multimillionaire, so I'm sure he'll be just fine.

How many letters do you have to type before your browser auto-completes "atariage.com"? I just type "a".

After watching a UPS truck get "unloaded" at a Post Office this morning, it amazes me that anything ever arrives anywhere intact.

@save2600 when you say 1080 monitor, I think of something else.
Then I found this and thought of you and your Amiganess.

Homebrews! Books! Autographs! USB cables! All to support the Stella emulator. Bid now, won't you?

Whoa... that was a big one. It's still rolling. USGS says a 7.1!

I either need more shelves, or less junk.

(Condescending Lemony Snicket voice) The word junk used in this context refers to testicles.

Rebuilding a failed RAID 5 drive to a spare drive. Second one in two weeks on the same array... looks like they're starting to hit the end of their usable lives.

Waiting for the inevitable Mac Pro disappointment. Will it be a complete no-show? Shipping "later this year"? Shipping "early next year"? Or another design that's so bad it boggles the senses? https://www.macrumors.com/2019/06/03/live-from-wwdc-2019/

I thought M&M's used to be more chocolatey. Now they just taste like... sugar.
