I finally got my video uploaded. Sorry about the sound issues (I should know better than to use my camcorder's built-in mic).
Merry Christmas, AtariAge!
Awesome! Sound quality was just fine for the purpose. Thanks for posting!!

Ahh, so it was YOU! My wifey said it came this morning. I don't open gifts until at least Christmas Eve, so everyone will just have to be on their toes until then! My recipients gift is also out for delivery today as well. The postal service is on top of things this year for sure.
Uhhh,....I didn't say it was delivered today.....you must be thinking of another Santa..........ok, fine. I guess I'm still not very good at secrets.

How about a round of applause for USPS because all my packages are flying to their destinations super fast this season. My SS package made it cross country in 2 1/2 days. Not sure what other peoples experiences have been. I think the quality of the local PO staff has a lot to do with my experience.

Oy. Yet another reason to hate getting old.
So, is everyone waiting until Christmas to open gifts? I want to see some gift opening pics, dammit! ?
It's tough, because it's a big old tempting package, but I am doing my best to wait until Christmas. As a kid I ruined all my Christmas surprises...gonna send Ferg an audio submission for his Christmas episode telling all about it.

Thanks Chicgamer! Excited to get started. I got some great gift clues for my recipient and what systems they are collecting for, but it is kinda hard to guess what games would work. I have just used a shotgun approach in the past, hoping they would get a few new ones. To help my santa out I attached my checklists for 2600, 7800 and TI stuff to the About Me tab of my profile. I will try to drop my 5200 list on there tonight. Plus this will help me find my checklists in the future when I come across games out and about. I already have some cool stuff picked out for my recipient.
Edit: FYI the 2600 "hot list" isn't a check list, just a list of lower rarity games I don't have as targets when I am game hunting; much easier than an unwieldy 15 page checklist.

I already left feedback for Cobra Kai on the great job he did on my transaction, but I would be remiss if I didn't point out that USPS actually kicked a little ass and got the box here two days ahead of estimate.

Great transaction from start to finish; well organized sale thread, great prices, great communication, good packing, quick ship! Would buy from them again in a heartbeat!!

Just bought Klax. I saw it on eBay and wondered how it's possible given the game uses lots of color.
I'm a big Klax fan and the Gameboy version is just about my favorite. They used different patterns for the tiles rather than colors. It's weird, but I think my brain can pick up and process the patterns easier than the colors. It will be interesting to see what you think of it.

All would be new ones for me! PM incoming.

Got this from my secret santa and having some good fun with it! I love the variety of enemies. It's a hand cramper, though, when using painline controllers. Gonna try it next with a CX-40.

Yay!! I finally got to open this sucker:
Thanks so much to frankodragon, who was revealed to be my Secret Santa!!! I appreciate you you jumping in at the last minute so I could participate!!!
I appreciate the message in the card and also Crazy Tank, which is my first 7800 home brew, which I will be playing tonight!!
Santa knew that I loved B movies, and found a fantastic compilation of Sci-fi B movies. Most of the stuff I have is horror or fantasy, so all but 4-5 of the 50 included movies are new ones to me and will be playing as I game throughout the rest of my vacation.
Lastly, an awesome selection of gummy candy! All were great choices, but it's the first time I had the Sunny D ones and they are the bomb!
Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, I will be getting a ton of entertainment our of your gift!!!!!

No CMart, sorry, not of Rev. I’m still traumatized after the first ones you showed me.
Hmmmm. I just did a search on AtariAge for posts that had both the words "Rev" and "traumatized" and was absolutely shocked to find out that this was the only instance. I would think these two words would be linked together in the local vernacular like pork and beans.

Short version:
Opening package live on Twitch on Monday, December 14th @ 6 PM Eastern Time !!
Twitch Channel: https://www.twitch.tv/drmoocowz
Long version:
I feel I've exercised enough patience (more than last year!) and it'll officially be at 3 weeks + 2 days since the package arrived and when I open it on Dec 14th. I'm definitely more in the boat of "open it now so you can enjoy it sooner" side of the argument. I'll make sure addresses are peeled off the box before putting it on camera. I won't waste too much time and will do it right at the beginning of the stream. I would love for people to be there for it and maybe hang out after the package is opened, too. I'll do a "bump" as a reminder when we get closer.
For those who can't/don't want to be there, I'll post a video clip and photos after it's done.
Excited!
Thanks for doing this; looking forward to it and hoping those folks who are comfortable doing videos share them as well. I will give it a try as well.
