  1. Hi, I don't mind contributing money if needed. If we all add between 2 to 4 dollars per year (or more) would be more than enough. We could have one responsible person that we send the money via paypal. I think lunarpages has great support via email. I never had a problem. But I agree that hosting must be one that the person in charge must feel ok with.
  2. Well, this is an amazing service you do. Maybe we can all shipping to paid for a hosting. I use LunarPages.com http://www.lunarpages.com/hosting-solutions/basic-hosting/ They don't have limit in the amount of data you stored... And you can have multiple domains. At 4.95 a month, I think is a great price. Maybe we should create a new post and find a way how can we all shipping to pay for that hosting. They have everything you need (mysql, cron,ftp...) I have used them for many years and I think they were down only once for one day. Please note that I have nothing to do with them... Should we start a new post asking for donations? Another option (maybe it is crazy even to suggest it) is to migrate the forum to Atari-Age.com assuming that this would be allowed...

  7. Hi, if available, I would like to see if I can get (given the prices are ok) MAC/65 Version 1.2 (What is the difference between 1.1 and 1.2?) Basic XE Assembler Editor GATO SpartaDOS X (OS) (by ICD) [ver. 4.22] Active! [ver. 3.7] Superman III zip 33183 thanks, Francisco
  8. And in America, one can get it for the bargain price of only 90.5 Yankee Greenbacks!!! (shipped) http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0830627618/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1293701381&sr=1-1&condition=used HA HA who are they kidding? Yes, I was hoping to have the PDF or some type of online format. 90 dollars may be cheap for some people. I'm a grad student, so 90 is a lot for me.
  9. Thank you for the link. It has some good documentations and programs for the ST. However, that book is not there. If anyone else knows, please let me know. I'm looking for Atari ST Graphics & Sound programming book in pdf or online. thanks
  10. Hi, I'm looking for Atari ST Graphics & Sound Programming in pdf format. I have tried searching in Atari-Forum but it has been down for a while. If anyone could help. Also, where can I find books for the ST in PDF format. thanks Francisco
  11. atari-forum still down... any news? thanks
  12. Thank you for the reply. I'm trying to get a VBXE2 but for now, I will try to use one of my backup XE or XL systems to try to mod as you have suggested , that way if I messed up, it won't matter. I will also try to find out how to get the S-Video using the forums. I think they are some post about that, that I'm going to search. My main problem is that the electronics is not my strong side... actually, I suck at it... I have never solder anything, so I will be looking into some information about that as well. I looked at the PDF documents you have for the video mod, and I think I can do it. thanks, Francisco
  13. This is going to be a great upgrade!!!
  14. Hi, I'm 34 years old (Born in 1976) . I was born in Concepcion, Chile . I move the Miami,FL USA when I was 14. I wanted an apple when I was a little kid but the good fortune that my father could not afford one of them, he bought me an atari 65 xe with a tape drive. The best investment ever. They bought me a 1050 disk drive a year later and I have been programming ever since I had my first computer , which was the Atari. I remember that when I was a kid, I just wanted a 130xe that my friend had and a modem. Before moving the US, my mom told me to sell the computer with so much software I had. It was very painful. Later when I was here, after some time, I started using PC until I was tired of Microsoft, that I primarily use MAC and some ubuntu. However, my pride and joy are my atari 8-bit computer that I have. My main A8 system is a 130XE with 1050 disk drive , indus GT drive and SIO2PC (usb) plus some other cool stuff from AtariMax. I'm so proud of the A8 community that we have, it's incredible. Specially with all the possible upgrades. I'm still not able to keep up with all the possible things I can add to my atari A8. Lately I'm been thinking to get a 1200XL. Also, I would like to add, that Steve from AtariMAX is the best. He is a great guy to buy things from. One last thing.... I used to buy most of my stuff (this year 2010) from BEST, but the guy claimed that I was asking for too many quotes compare to the ratio that I was purchasing. He banned me until the end of January 2011 but I said forget it!!! Maybe it was true that I was asking for too many quotes, but as of now, I'm banned from purchasing anything from BEST. So I'm left with B&C and Ebay. Anyways, I just wanted to add this, to make public the official BAN that I was imposed by BEST. Maybe I'm not a good A8 customer In summary, I love Atari... My heart bleeds ATARI , I'm 34 years old , from CHILE but I live in Miami,FL USA for over 20 years. I was happy to find people from Chile and one from Miami. I owe my love to computers to my Dad who gave me the Atari, and to the Atari to want me to program. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science because I love programming/researching... all of it because of the ATARI Hope to see more people from Florida. Francisco
  15. Hi, Thank you for the amazing work. I hope this question is not off-topic. I downloaded the LW 3.21 that you have provided LW321.zip and ran it without any modifications. I have an Atari 130XE connected to a LCD TV using a RCA type of cable provided by BEST (Atari Dealer) It looks blurry. I wonder if it could be that my tv is not good enough (or the type of connection that I have) for LW. I tried looking into the pdf file to see if I found something about the blur but I wasn't able to find anything at all thanks for your help. Francisco
