LL was the first "Thrust" style game ever?! I always thought it was the granddaddy.

5200, 7800, Sega CD, Apple Pippin, CD32, 32X were all consoles not delivering what they initially promised. There is not really anything substantial that objectively would back up "worst console of all time". From the technological side, the Jaguar falls short of its potential but that is what keeps people interested. The "Even the 32 bit PSX and Saturn were more powerful than the "64 bit" Jaguar - Jaguar sucks!" argument is lame and was debunked several times. The graphics hardware of the PSX and Saturn was more advanced than the Jaguar and the "64 bits" logo does not change that.

Well, after 30 years, we can enjoy all classic consoles without regret. And if some ppl bought a Jag dirt cheap in a clearence sale end of 1997, I guess they are very happy now😅

Riiight, nobody ever heard of Flashback, NBA Jam, Worms or Theme Park, of course I guess your are not very familiar with consoles of the 90s. Ok, no problem. But how it comes that you try to irritate forum members with nonsensical condemnations like "worst console of all time?!

Well, he paid money for the game and the system, he probably has the right to say his opinion then?

World Class Soccer is an abomination. The only game that really really has no redeeming quality. My personal bottom 5: - Dirty Larry (all gfx, no gameplay) - Jimmy Connors Tennis (because I really wanted a great tennis game on Lynx and its a slow, clunky mess) - Gordo (unfair, messy design) - Power Factor (boring, clunky) - World Class Soccer Dishonorable mentions: Krazy Ace, Batman, that Telegames platfomer with a guitar player

Because its called "game guide" and given the very limited library it would be nice to cover at least some of the best aftermarket/homebrews that people could still buy/ download for reasonable prices. Personally, I am tired of discussing the same 50 retail games over and over again.

No homebrews😕

MORTAL KOMBAT Atari Jaguar Pre-Alpha AVAILABLE NOW!

Iam sure, that the more Tru learns about the Jaguar, the better MK will improve on its way to completion. Also, remember it runs on Jagstudio, proving the potential of those software tools -

I did not agree with discarding the Jaguar Object Processor, being not capable enough. And of course, I appreciate and support the effort to bring MK to the Jag! -

MORTAL KOMBAT Atari Jaguar Pre-Alpha AVAILABLE NOW!
agradeneu replied to walter_J64bit's topic in Atari Jaguar
It's an early alpha and it's Mortal Kombat on the Jaguar! This alone is a major achievement. However, getting rid of the many issues will take another huge effort by the programmer. Keeping fingers crossed. What makes me worry the most is performance. The Object Processor already waves the white flag, tearing apart the screen top when there is an uppercut move. Also, the jump kicks and mid air rolls are noticably choppy compared to other versions. There is no AI yet, so lets hope it does not choke up everything. Still alot of work. -
