  1. I don't have ads on any of my videos. About 2 years ago, though, I remember Youtube pushing very hard for people to use their real names as their channel name. It was very annoying. Seems like every time I visited the site I was pestered with a popup where I had to constantly explain why I wasn't amenable to that change. They were so insistent that I expected them to eventually force the change. Had that occurred, I would have simply deleted my channel.
  2. So an A8 section is still in the works. Neat. That A8 rarity guide has been hiding here as long as I can remember. I stumbled onto it again just the other day somehow. I think Google may have found it.
  3. Honestly, I've always kind of ignored flip. Maybe that's been a mistake.
  4. I sure did. I actually ranked each game in that catalog from most to least wanted, writing the respective number next to each game's title in the catalog. It became a bit of a mess, though, as I must have reordered them half a dozen times.
  5. My favorite too. I stick with Hyperspace.
  6. There's a list of red label variants in the first post of this thread. The list hasn't been updated in forever, but I reckon it still contains some useful information.
  7. Good question. I can easily pick a favorite in every other matchup of VCS publishers, but this one gives me pause.
  8. This question comes up all the time. My answer is always the same: I keep it all in my head. Works better than anything else I've tried.
  9. When it comes to disc-based games, having a manual is essential, unless the game never included a manual to begin with (a disappointing modern development). I'm more flexible (or should I say, "pragmatic") when it comes to cartridge-based games. For some systems, such as the VCS, I've tracked down manuals for nearly every game I have. For other systems, such as the SNES, I couldn't care less about having manuals.
  10. Ms. Pac-Man. If I'm in the mood for a game, I usually reach for the VCS version.
  11. Dust: An Elysian Tale (Mac) Solid gameplay, just not very deep. I was't wild about the anthropomorphic character designs, but, overall, the art direction was superb. The music was excellent as well. I didn't care for the story or voice acting, however. Just too much angsty-pathos for my tastes. There's a great deal of backtracking in the game, but little incentive to undertake much of it. A few tweaks to the game's layout would remedy that and greatly improve the flow of the game. (7/10)
  12. Haven't had a good gaming find in a thrift for nearly a decade. I don't even bother going into them anymore. Like someone already said, it's not just games; there's really isn't anything good to be found at the thrifts anymore.
  13. Has anyone ever used the paddle controllers made by this company (Gemini)? I may not be wild about their Gemstick controller, but their paddle controller is the best I've ever used; zero jitter.
  14. I have a few of these. Never really liked them. Actually, I've never really liked any third-party 2600 stick.
