  1. This room smells like shit but on the bright side we can use it as fertilizer and before you know it this room will smell like pot.
  2. I'm just hoping to see some positive thinking that is good enough to debuff and blow my balls off... into a taco.
  3. I don't believe in prayer but I'm sending good vibes, tacos, or whatever I'm suppose to send as an alternative to The Historian's wife and Biff's old underwear.
  4. For me the main selling point of these FPGA consoles is similar to one of the reasons for embracing emulation. People embrace it as software to replace the original hardware for when the original hardware isn't an option. For me it is the same thing except new hardware to replace the original hardware instead of software. You know, like the selling point of other NES or Super NES clones but with the reason to choose an Analogue one over the others is for more accuracy. Let's pretend instead of the Super Nt we are talking about another Super NES clone and I'm giving constructive criticism about why it isn't perfect replacement hardware for the Super NES. Like maybe it doesn't work with flash carts. So, I say,"The only issue I have with this clone is that it doesn't work with flash carts. So, even if I bought it I would still have to leave my Super NES plugged in to use my flash cart." Then your rebuttal to my constructive criticism is,"But the selling point of this clone is [fill in the blank] and if you want to use your flash cart you can just use your Super NES. So, I don't really see an issue." That kind of rebuttal doesn't make any sense to me. It is like disagreeing by agreeing because the point of my constructive criticism is that I still have to leave my Super NES plugged in to use my flash cart and the solution offered is that I can just leave my Super NES plugged in to use my flash cart. The solution isn't a solution if the whole point of my constructive criticism is that I can't unplug my 20 something year old Super NES and replace it with a fresh off the assembly line NIB Super NES clone to use as replacement hardware. Now with the Super Nt just switch out flash carts for CRT's. I agree that HD is a selling point but it isn't the primary selling point because there are many devices that output HDMI to emulate a Super NES on a flat panel. Many may be reading this on one right now. The big elephant in the room differentiator that is the primary selling point is that it is the only device with an FPGA with a Super NES core designed and programmed by Kevtris in it. With that in mind if I am looking for replacement hardware for my Super NES then isn't this the best place for me to say,"This would be perfect replacement hardware for my Super NES if it had analog outputs."? Or is there some other Super NES clone manufacturer that I should be voicing this concern with? Anyway, equating aluminum shells with basic functions of the Super NES like the ability to hook it up to your TV is getting old and I highly doubt analog outputs would double the price. Especially if a Z3K solution was implemented where you wouldn't even be required to buy the analog outputs anyway. If analog outputs are so damn expensive I wonder why most cheap Super NES clones have them. Besides, since it would work with your Super Scope you could sell your Super NES to get back some or all of the money for the price difference. Perfect replacement hardware saves you money as well as space if you don't need the original hardware anymore.
  5. Are there even enough employees to have that conversation?
  6. I think you guys debating about reference quality and so forth are thinking too deeply about this when it is quite simple: 1. Buy Nt Mini. 2. Unplug NES from CRT in retro game room. 3. Put Nt Mini in NES' old spot and plug into CRT in retro game room. 4. Nt Mini becomes perfect replacement hardware for NES. 1. Buy Super Nt. 2. Don't unplug Super NES from retro game room. 3. Put Super Nt in livingroom with other modern consoles and devices and plug into flat panel TV or buy flat panel TV for retro game room exclusively for using the Super Nt while making room for it with the CRT that everything else is plugged into. 4. Super Nt doesn't become perfect replacement hardware for Super NES. For those who have bought or will buy the Nt Mini to enjoy it on a CRT with the included analog outputs is it a reasonable desire to hope that they can buy the Super Nt to enjoy it the exact same way and not feel left out by Analogue switching their focus to only catering to their customers with an HDMI preference? Yes. Is it reasonable to equate ditching analog outputs along with the customers with that preference to ditching an expensive aluminum shell? No. It is really that simple.
  7. The only thing obvious about that is that TV manufacturers aren't targeting niche markets like retro gamers.
  8. No, their market is everyone with SNES carts and accessories. So, the question should be: What percentage of households with SNES carts and accessories in 2017 even have a CRT? My answer is that I don't know but I think it is likely closer to the poll results than your 5%. Concerning the accessories, wireless controllers are just as much of the future as HDMI is but they have made it optional to either use original controllers or pay $39.99 for wireless ones to accommodate as many people as possible. What I'm suggesting is almost the exact same solution which is the same solution that Kevtris himself came up with for dealing with lowering cost while accommodating everyone by allowing people to choose which A/V outputs are included with the Z3K that he quoted around the price range of these wireless controllers. I doubt his brilliant cost saving accommodating everyone idea is a good solution for the Z3K but a poor solution for the Super Nt. I mean, Hell, they have 4 console shell options to accommodate everyone which is Mike Kennedy trivial compared to people's A/V needs.
  9. From this thread's poll we know that 57.31% interested in the Z3K want analog. So, I doubt that those interested in an FPGA Super NES that has analog is only 5% of those interested in the Super Nt. I doubt the target audience is that different. Especially considering that much of this thread is about hopes that the Super Nt becomes a little bit closer to the Z3K by having jailbreak firmware.
  10. Which is why I was suggesting the same solution that Kevtris plans on using for the Z3K so that they wouldn't have to pay for what they won't use.
  11. If I'm hoping for analog then obviously I'm hoping that would change and that they would target the same markets as the Nt Mini which includes both HDMI and analog markets. My hope isn't much different than those that are hoping the Super Nt targets the market that is into the jailbreak firmware.
  12. With the Nt Mini I would also have a cheaper option but the point of the Nt Mini is not to be the cheaper option but replacement hardware for the cheaper option. The Super Nt being HDMI only couldn't serve that purpose. Its purpose is more like an HDMI mod which I'm currently not in the market for. I'm in the market for replacement hardware which is why I'm hoping for analog as an option.
  13. I like to think of it as recycling by putting all the carbon trapped underground back into the atmosphere from which it came. It might put an end to ice ages and return the Earth to its pristine primitive condition of one big tropical world with rainforests from pole to pole. It doesn't get much greener than the greenhouse effect. Anyway, That Ataribox must be one of the greenest consoles because there isn't much wasted resources and energy in renders. Those renders should be Energy Star certified.
  14. I still can't believe the Super Nt will only have HDMI. Their website says,"Explore and re-live one of the greatest video game systems of all time with no compromises." I would consider HDMI only a compromise. Let's say I bought both the Nt Mini and Super Nt. That would result in me putting my NES away with the Nt Mini taking its place. It would be hooked up to a CRT with a Super NES. Then the Super Nt would be hooked up to a flat panel. So, if I'm needing two TV's instead of just one and my Super NES isn't put away while my NES is then it seems like the Super Nt isn't as much of replacement hardware as the Nt Mini is. Anyway, I hope they reconsider. I understand they want to keep the price low but with Kevtris' explanation for how he intends it to work on the Z3K already has the solution. Just have it so that you can switch them out so that those that want HDMI only don't have to pay for analog.
  15. It is hard to tell the range of movement because it doesn't look like its movement is being stopped by anything but his fingers and the wiggling around looks analog like the 5200. If I was wiggling around an Atari 2600 joystick like that the character from Centipede wouldn't be flying across the screen. It wouldn't be moving at all because I would be wiggling it around in the center without clicking anything.
  16. Lights because some pictures have them off. Analog would suck, lower the chances of new paddles, and make it seem even more like 5200 controllers than it already does.
  17. I doubt Analogue owns his SNES core. He is likely just licensing it to them. Kind of like how he would have for the Coleco Chameleon but Mike Kennedy would rather buy cores for cheap from the local "Core Store".
  18. It looks like I would get frustrated trying to use it because I hold a joystick like a pencil so that hole it is in would get in the way and the fire button looks like I would have to push it in past the base. So, I would probably use an alternative while using the stock controller for the extra two buttons which would make it feel like the case should be based on the 5200.
  19. I saw 4 at Walmart earlier during very busy shopping hours and also noticed the stock of all Nintendo hardware much more full than usual.
