  1. I can't find any pics of the unit. I was just wondering if it is easier to make diagonal movements with this model. I personally like the older model better, but if you could go diagonal in bosconian this model might be the one to pick up. I heard that there is a konami model coming. I'm not sure if it's jakks or radica that is making it, but it is coming. I also have no idea what games are going to be on that model. -mike
  2. Hey, Jakks Pacific just recently released a new version of their pac-man handheld. The new version has the same 5 games (pac-man, bosconian, etc), but the joystick is different. It actually is smaller with a disc that you use as the joystick. Has anyone seen this yet? Does anyone know if this will move in 8 directions instead of 4? -mike

I would have to say that games that are worth owning for the 2600 that I don't believe have been stated yet include the following Joystick games ----------------- Millipede, pengo, thrust+, human cannonball, sky diver, entombed, adventure, jammed, crystal castles, bump and jump, saboteur Paddle games ---------------- Warlords, marble craze, super breakout, canyon bomber, video olympics, street racer Keyboard controller ---------------------- Brain games, star raiders There are many other great games, but these are the ones that come directly to mind. -mike

  7. How have I ruined this thread? I'm sorry about the picture size, I just took it and loaded it into the computer and sent it off. I really should have photoshopped the image size down, but I wasn't thinking. I also did this as a joke because I own the arcade in my garage. I didn't get a chance to play the 8 bit version and post a score for that. I'm sorry if I angered people or ruined the thread, that wasn't my intentions. -mike

  10. I remember playing the odyssey one when I was really young, my family used to own one. When I got the atari 2600, the odyssey was put away in a closet. Only to come out once in a blue moon. Although when I was in the forth grade back 18 '84 my teacher left halfway through the year, the new teacher Mr Treblehorn (or Mr T for short) brought in an old pong clone that we got to play if we finished our work. I remember thinking that this was really old, but I didn't care as it was a game to play. -Mike

  12. Thanks for all the answers and the links. Shannon the atari 810 emulator is a discdrive emulator for the pc. You connect the atari computer to the pc via the sci2pc cable just like you do with the ape program. Thanks, mike
  13. Hello, I'm just wondering what the difference between the APE program and the atari 810 emulator. Can APE load in .bin files or is it only .atr files? Can APE do more than the 810 emulator? Thanks, mike

  16. Hello, I recently posted a question at the vgwiz.com bulletin board about the possibilities of a maxicart for the colecovision. Their was a couple of questions that arose and I'd figure I would post them here and maybe get some answers.   19. Hello, About a year or so ago I stumbled upon a website that had atari 8 bit games to download and some info on them. I found a game that was programmed by the guy that did "Mr. Robot and his robot factory". I can't remember the title of the game, but it was supposed to be similar, but a better game overall. Mr. Robot is one of my favorite games for the 8 bit and I was wondering if anybody knows what that other game is? Thanks, Mike

  21. Hello, There is one more day left on this auction. All of the games I'm getting rid of are in excellent condition. Most where not even played (although I opened them to read the manual). I have some hard to find rpg's and some shoot'em up's (raycrisis, etc) and I have 3 of the namco classics up for auction.
