  1. Just entered the finale of Dying Light...I have to say, I have really enjoyed this game. The bugs were minimal (almost nonexistent), and the controls were very organic...both in movement of the character and in combat. All in all, I am pretty bummed to see the campaign end, but I am hopeful for some DLC's to come out and keep it going. Some folks have complained that the story line was too basic, but I would disagree. I'd give this game a solid 8 out of 10.
  2. I wish I had a time machine...Kay Bee had piles and piles of games for $1 to $5....games that go for hundreds now. Hindsight is 20/20.
  3. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building...and when they finally pulled Atari Corp. body from the twisted, burning wreck. It looked like this...
  4. Tell him to grab a cardboard sign and take a seat on skid row with the rest of the Q*Bert gang!
  5. No need to draw assumptions from my post…I simply asked what the extent of the damage was. I never questioned the quality of the packing job. Honestly, I couldn't even try to question it, as I was not the recipient of the package. That said, was there any damage? If not, then I would suggest PM'ing the seller and voicing your concerns to him/her directly….that, or you could take it up in the bad seller thread. Truthfully, I am a bit lost on the point of this thread…other than to vent regarding a packaging job which you didn't approve of…and, believe me, it has happened to me more times than I can count. To be honest, nothing angers me more in this hobby than lazy sellers and scammers….and minimal packaging is just plain lazy. PS: All of the nasty comments and foul language is quite uncalled for IMHO. Nobody here is telling you that you are wrong…they (we) are just asking questions. If you don't want that, then I would suggest that you stick to PM's, directly to the person(s) involved in the transaction described in the OP. Posting things like this in a public thread is ASKING for open discussion…that includes people (outsiders) asking questions, regarding additional details of the transaction. Please keep in mind…none of us were involved in this transaction to begin with…it is you who is bringing it to our attention. If you post a thread like this on a public forum, then you are obviously looking for feedback. If that is the case, you should expect folks to ask questions…that is a HUGE part of a discussion like this.
  6. JUst curious…what was the extent of the shipping damage? I couldn't see anything in the pics (if it was the same game I saw for sale recently in the marketplace, the seller did mention previous damage, which I could see in the pics) .Was there additional damage due to the shoddy packaging?
  7. It sounds like a lump on the head and an empty wallet…just waiting to happen.
  8. That's hilarious! I should send the seller a message, asking if it comes with the storage "rack" pictured!
  9. Amen to that! The business world in general is not even close to what it was in the late 60's & early 70's…and, even then, there was a TON of espionage. Just look at the tumultuous beginnings of Microsoft and Apple…they both poached each others intellectual properties, hardware and software designs and even their staff members. Apple flew a pirate flag for a reason…just sayin.
  10. Thanks for the links! I never heard of that before, but it certainly adds an interesting footnote to the legend and lore of the 7800. Very interesting!
  11. Laserdisc add-on? That is a new one to me. I have heard rumors of a keyboard component, but never anything about a laserdisc peripheral. Do you have any links/documentation to support that, or is it just something you remember...or possibly, "misremember" after many long years? (cue the Brian Williams memes )
  12. Payment sent for this game as well (added $3 more for shipping this combined with Princess Quest).
  13. I did...silly type-o. Facepalm!
  14. I, for certain, paid top dollar for my copy. I purchased it from a very reputable forum member, for what I felt was a fair price for this masterpiece (not anywhere near Relik's $1,400 asking price, but still it was expensive for one game). Regardless of the price I paid, I would agree that this game DESERVES another run in some way shape or form. It is a shame that this is not in the hands of every Colecovision gamer, fan and collector alike. You really did an amazing job with this release, and it deserves that recognition. It's absolutely one of my favorite homebrews to date...and that is saying a lot when you consider how many great games have been produced over the years. I don't care if it reduces the value of my current CIB copy...this game was meant to be played by everyone. Awesome work Youki!!
  15. Just received my purchase from RoadRunner, and I can say the transaction went wonderfully! I sent payment (by check) in advance of receiving my purchase. Once the check cleared, he shipped the game. It was packaged very safely, and the game box I purchased was actually in much better condition than described in his f/s thread. Across the board, thumbs up for a great seller and a great contributor to AtariAge!
  16. I just reported every listing as well…not just because he is a slimy seller either. It is also because those are some of the SHITTIEST looking repro cart labels. If they were trying to make them look like the real thing, then they failed….epicly. $100????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  17. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It is horrible to hear when someone passes away so young. PS…you mentioned your involvement in two of my favorite 2600 games…Star Solar Fox (***edited for stupidity) and Crazy Climber!!! ….I just love it when rock stars show up at Atari Age! Too bad it is under such circumstances. I hope you decide to stick around and share some stories with us! You certainly have the right audience!
  18. Do you have any parsley for sale? I heard it is good for your teeth and rheumatoid arthritis! …..I was only wondering because the sign at the top of this thread said this is the marketplace….parsley is found in the market…right?
  19. All I have to say is this…you can keep on thinking whatever you want about the subject at hand, but here is the main crux of the situation: 1.) it is widely known that artificially inflating the collectors market, has long lasting, adverse affects in any hobby. 2.) you have gone out of your way to argue your position, often times insulting many of the main pillars which hold this community up. 3.) you have made it clear that you could care less about most, if not all, of the people here at AtariAge…and the CV scene as a whole. 4.) you are not going to change anyone's opinions…especially not here in this thread. Basically, you are digging the hole deeper with every condescending post you make. Folks here have been collecting for a very long time, so I would think that I speak for everyone when I say that we don't need "a lesson" in the subject matter. You can try to spin it however you want, but in the end, you are nothing more than a profiteer…looking to make a buck off of the CV scene (i.e.: ALL OF US). You buy these games with the clear intention of flipping them…case in point…the SGM, which you flipped and are now looking for second one. Did you think about how many people are still waiting for their first…and for a very long time??? That is why you were able to get the $800 you received for one at auction. Because many people bid on that, out of the fear that OpCode was gone for good. That behavior is what I would call predatory at best. Say whatever you will…none of what you do benefits this little scene AT ALL. You can tell me anything you want, but I am not buying it….and neither is anyone else (if you actually question that statement, just read all of the responses in this thread). We aren't a stupid group of people…we just tend to give flippers like you more time as a "welcomed part of this community" than is actually deserved…and then it is time to go. No one is going to stop your peddling….it is a free market economy. Just don't expect anyone here to agree with your ridiculous and unscrupulous pricing. In the end, it only helps you and your wallet.
  20. Thank you…although, I shouldn't get too much credit, as I am just stating the obvious.
