  1. Agree w/cmart - Chose Beauty & The Beast - does get more difficult once you advance farther into game and easily could lose like 3-4 guys in 20 seconds. Can always pick up and have a quick game.
  2. All 5 games saw good game action, and while I do like Snafu and love Utopia, SEA BATTLE every day of the week and twice on Sunday's for me - my personal favorite inty game of all-time! Can't wait for podcast #8. Although all games in this group had their moments.
  3. Agree with wongojack above - Space Battle for me - no contest. It was one of my 1st 3 games with NASL Soccer and the Poker pack in when the inty 1st came out. Definitely innovative and fit the system well. Took me a while to beat most difficult level because I was pretty young when I got it - going on 8. Oh the memories. Chose Defender in the subset but haven't played in agesm
  4. I'd also be in for the upgrades but was hoping we could keep it to no more than $30 if possible as that already would bring grand total to $70 which is quite a bit. At $35 you are now at $75 which is really. A lot in my opinion. Of course I would go the extra $5 if I had to, but I would think that if everyone who got a cart also wanted to complete their set(s), then it might be doable. Of course I can't speak for everyone so maybe economies of scale won't work if everyone doesn't decide to upgrade but imagine the percentage of people wanting to would be high, and that extra box/overlay/manual sets could be sold off slowly but surely. Again, I'd support whatever, but $75 is a bit high if it can be avoided at all. Just my $.02 and not looking to annoy anyone as I would like a CIB and will support 4 copies. Joe.
  5. Sounds good cmart. Sounds like we both made it to 3rd floor twice without much success after. PS: When I'm playing Old School and running "non stop" picking up erasers or something I assume, it sounds like the "Queen" beat of "Flash Gordon". Anyone else notice that? Flash, whoah:-)
  6. Hi Certifiable, Thanks for the info - now that you mention it I remember. Assume floors would repeat after that - will be a while before I ever find out:-)
  7. Can you tell us how many different floors there are in Old School and if they repeat after that or does game have ending? Also, can you earn extra guys and what floor does your little trick appear? Thanks, and yes I agree with Willy that this is release worthy - cool game - thanks.
  8. Ok cmart me vs. you - I only got to beginning of stage of Floor 3 with like 1,238 points so you should kick my ass lol:-) I actually f'd up on my 2nd go around on FLR 3 - need to figure out what to do with that lever - I wasn't paying to close attention and quickly lost 3 guys on what could've been a decent game:-( Anyone know what that "white piece" you have to get is before exiting floor? My niece thinks it is a letter - she's probably right, just wanted to be sure. Haven't played in a week but definitely a fun game. Off Topic: cmart who do Isles and Nucks take at #5 & #6 in draft? Glad noone behind us won (especially TOR) dropping us down a slot.
  9. JasonLikesINTV, Hi, I was pretty good at Pitfall as a kid and enjoyed that one, & somewhat recently (within last 18 months) I fell 1 treasure short of getting all 32 treasures because time ran out on me. I have to be quicker at jumping the crocodiles I guess. I never did it, but pretty sure that once you get that 32nd treasure the game simply stops and displays your score + amount of time remaining + number of guys left. Like someone said, you have to use the underground passages and know the pattern (got from Internet didn't figure out as kid) as each underground passage represents 3 above ground passages. I someone post a PERFECT SCORE and he srill had only 27 seconds left. It is a very well done game - I don't care about getting a perfect and willing to lose a few hundred points, but do want to revisit one day as I want to get that 32nd treasure. You start w/2,000 points and have to get 8 each of 4 different treasures (Money Bag 2K, Silver Bar 3K, Gold Bar 4K, & Diamond Ring 5K) so that is 112K more points for a possibe max of 114,000 points. You lose a few points when hitting barrels and 100 points if you fall down the tunnel instead of climbing down. Hope that helps a bit. PS - After reading all above, I really need to play Beamrider again - it has been a long time.
  10. I would look out for a broken system on the cheap and use it for replacement parts - starting with your disc.
  11. Definitely 1st thing I noticed - would've been nice feature for Tarmin on hardest level. Maybe on an AD&D Multi-cart in distant future with any other upgrades?
  12. Haven't played this one since I was a kid. Got some play out of it as a kid but then went on to other games. Not the worst game in the world, but not the greatest replay value either. Will have to give it another shot one day for nostalgia's sake.
  13. retrorussel thanks for the info on Crazy Climber - much appreciated! I would love to own one but $$:-(
  14. I'm sure this has been asked/answered but is this a late 2014 release? How many titles and what price point? Just curious if could share any info, if not can wait until comes out and just hope they do a good job representing inty.
  15. Hi intymike - agreed - that was very funny to me. He should have left out a console he didn't care so much about:-)
  16. Hi intvnut, thanks for sharing your insights on this subject matter. I'm a numbers guy so can appreciate what you and William are talking about and probably would be quite surprised at what some of these economies of scale are across various components. Hopefully one day we can get boxes for this one but understand may not happen.
  17. Hi William - thanks for info. Hopefully in addition to future overlays, you will be able to print manuals as well when you do your next printing for next game - I know you will do a much better job than anything I can print and maybe it could be shipped with a future release for a few bucks. Thanks again for update.
  18. I just saw it this week for 1st time but thought it was pretty funny. They don't like each other much:-) Plus anyone else notice Keith cringe when guy was playing Astrosmash on Keith's intellivision lol:-) I was thinking Keith, why not call Cmart or Rev for a spare so you don't s**t your pants:-) Use a spare system or one without so much sentimental value - thought that was pretty funny.
  19. Wow, didn't realize that Colecovision had that many homebrews per year - that's ok its quality not quantity. Like Special Teams mentioned above, I only saw yesterday that Collectorvision had 4 more games they were working on - awesome news. Take your time and put out best possible product!
  20. Good point William:-) That's what I'm gonna tell my nieces if they give me any crap or dare smack talk the inty. And thanks for correcting me on bully - I said bad guy but obviously bully makes much more sense in context of game. I like this game a lot and recommend that everyone give it s try and not just let it collect dust. Definitely worth playing and like I said previously, I believe it to have GOOD Replay Value if you are a fan of these types of games.
  21. retrorussel, That is a blast from the past. I remember playing Crazy Climber in 1982 as a 9-year old kid in a bar in a small local mountain town in Italy (population maybe 1,000) where my grandparents were from. Wonder how much a mint arcade Crazy Climber would go for. But in 1982 the US dollarvwas strong against the Italian Liira and you could play like 7-games for a dollar easily. Don't remember if game had an ending - believe it just got harder.
