  1. Agreed. I played Star Raiders all the time on my Atari 400 back in the day. Now I play it on my XEGS. I use to play Final Legacy, Millipede and Zork series alot. The Atari 400 and A.N.A.L.O.G Computing magazine taught me to program. I could do some amazing things with Atari Basic and Action.
  2. I perfer the XEGS. I can play the same exact games as the 5200 but in a nice small cartridge and I get a keyboard. Still I need one to complete my Atari console collection.
  3. I took my Atari Lynx in its case with a bunch of games and the D-cell power unit to the airport. I put it thru the TSA x-ray machines and they freaked out! The security people were called and wanted to know what this was. They thought it was a bomb because of the wires and D-cells. I told them it was a classic handheld game system. After about a half hour of showing the that it was functional and wouldn't explode, they let me take it on the airplane but it had to be bag checked. Somehow it survived being thrown in with the rest of the luggage. I had to ship it home when I flew home a week later.
  4. I thought everything China uses is considered "public domain" by them.
  5. Just had an earthquake at work. Everyone poked their heads up like gophers.

It was a 3.9 in Laguna Nigel, CA. It was a little south of my office in Irvine.

  6. Best controller ever made? Well, 5200 trakball is definately one of the biggest. Along with the Colecovision version.
  7. Thanks for this game Bob! I've had a great time playing it.
  8. So AVP should be considered one of the first survival horror games?
  9. What is the name of the song being played in the game Bobby is Going Home? It sounds like a church song.
  10. Its amazing how much easier colecovision games are using an xbox wireless controller.

  11. I had the game when I first owned a Jaguar. I remember I didn't play it very much probably due to the time it took to run the maze. It felt a little boring to me. Anyway, my son is really into shooters and I want to find something that will get him to play my new Jaguar. $50 is too much for me to spend on a game he may or may not jump on. $20 at the most sounds better to me. I just wish the emulator worked better so I could test it out on him.
  12. What I think is scary is the price on ebay for this thing. WTF?
  13. Dumb ass ebay seller sent my Jaguar media mail! Had to pay $10 to get it and the shipping was three times longer than it should have.

The seller refunded the COD costs and I left him positive feedback.

You suppose he sends everything that way and just sees what gets through?

He seems to since he said this has never happened before. He is sending a large poorly boxed item, of course they will inspect it!

  14. One out of thousand people is still a very large number. I'd say 1 out of 100 million is more like it.

  16. A mini 2600 with a cartridge port could be kind of cool to have.
  17. This reminds me of a 'discussion' I had about the proper way to say A.T.-A.T. or At-At.
  18. That was cool to see those boxes again. It brings back memories of getting my Atari 400 and Educator pack for christmas back in 1980 or so. Congrats on your collection.
  19. Wow! That is a lot of games. Are they in alphabetical order and by system?

  23. Thank you Mr. Tramiel for my XE, XEGS, STe, Lynx and Jaguar. I wouldn't be the developer that I am today without your wonderful toys. RIP.
