  1. You proved yourself wrong in the previous sentence
  2. Maybe you are using 2 different versions of AvP which don't work together. Try the same version on both Lynxes!
  3. I'm interested, too!
  4. Isegrim is the name of the wolf in German fables.
  5. Well, in Germany we have a saying: "Egal ist 88" Which translates to "Doesn't matter is 88" Because you can read the number backwards or even upside down, you always get the same. Maybe the developer knew this. But surely 42Bastian did!
  6. Yes, thats right! The Marlboro Abenteuer (Adventure) Team was on trade fairs and held a contest on the Lynx(es) playing "Marlboro Go!". If you made it, you were given a price. So neither the red Lynx nor the Marlboro Go cart WERE the prices. I remember seeing them twice in Germany. I think it was on a motorcycle trade fair in Dortmund.
  7. That's no shame at all. It's the (neccessary) interface that draws the current. If you are aiming at battery life, you could just do a LED Mod, but you still have the old washed out screen. I'm happy with the new screen, even if it draws more power.
  8. The overall power consumption of a Lynx with the new screen is higher than an unmodified Lynx. This has been measured in the screen thread. Didn't expect that, but the additional electronics draws much power. The CPLD consist of tenthousands, if not hundredthousands logic gates.
  9. Actually, the new screen draws MORE power than the old one because of the interfacing CLPD. This has been measured in the screen thread.
  10. Is it possible, that the McWill exchange screen AND the Lynx SD together draw so much power that it can kill the MOSFET? I have 4 Lynxes (1+2 stock) since decades but never had a killed MOSFET. However, you are all OFF TOPIC!
  11. I'm trying the same. But still haven't completed the 2nd level, though I get quite far :-/ Are the next levels easier? How many are there?
  12. Totally agree! Played both yesterday. On the GG for the first time and was disappointed by the very small sprites.
  13. A great addition to your flashcard would be save state support. This would enable saving without passwords or even saving games that don't have a password option. Or saving games with hard to enter cheat codes like Batman etc. Would it be possible to dump the content of the SRAM to the SD card? Could be triggered by an external switch. That would make your flashcard even greater!
  14. Gadget, would be great if you could update your converter for mateos flashcard too. Lynxmans flashcard supports .o files, but .com files do actually not run on any flashcard.
  15. Please check jfmateos first post on this page. Download link is there.
  16. Look into Mateos Flashcard thread. On the last page you'll find it.
  17. It was late 1992. The Lynx 2 was available, but I saw a Lynx 1 at a local toystore. It was cheaper than the Lynx 2. I think the price was 220,- DM. The shopkeeper told me, that they had two boxes of Lynx 1. One came with California Games and the other one had the pack-in game missing. She told me, that if I take the one with the missing game, I can choose one free game. After examining the box and finding the Califonia Games cart inside the PSU box of the Lynx's box, I choose Rygar and had 2 free games! What a great Christmas gift for me! :-D Hey, I was a kid...
  18. Great! Now we poor people without access to the english/american retro gamer just need pages 3 and 4 of the article
  19. WOW! Photo games! Is there a camera for the Lynx like the PSP and 3ds? AR Games like Invizimals?
  20. I really liked this game back in the days. Especially for how much was going on on the screen. Lots of sprites and background movement. But when playing it recently, I found it quite ... slow
  21. Thank you jfmateos, this one works. What exactly does your web-converter do? Just cut the header? However, I was hoping to encourage GadgetUK to upgrade his useful offline converter
  22. I doubt that it solves the compability with Alpine Games, because the problem arises of interference between the Lynx's framebuffer and the new screen's interface. Scanline simulation just darkens each odd (2nd-) horizontal line.
  23. Thank you for your great utility, Gadget! However, like bdoi, I can not get Luchs3d.lnx to work with Mateos Flashcart. Other Homebrews work. I tried all options with no success. Maybe this is because Luchs3d uses a 512kb scheme but its size is less than 128kb? It works on Lynxmans cart with 512kb setting.
  24. Great work! Because everyone does it now and I don't want to be forgotten: I expressed interest on page 3 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/226918-lynx-multi-cart/page-3?do=findComment&comment=3021682
