  1. I never used that ROM 3 board, in fact I eventually sold it to someone who needed one. I've got both a ROM 1 GS, with an Applesqueezer accelerator in it, and a ROM 3 that I picked up for free in Dayton, Oh Sep of last year. You might want to consider getting the Applesqueezer, it makes the GS fly!
  2. Just send Batari a message through this site and he'll respond to you about the upgrade. I just to need to have the money to send him my Harmony cart to have him upgrade it. Adulting sucks
  3. Not sure about the Garret's Workshop RAM2GS II. guess you'll just haveto read the article about the upgrade and see what it says about ram upgrade boards for the hack
  4. This pdf copy of vol 2 issue 2 has an article on doing the IIe to GS upgrade. It starts out talking about the GS upgrade kit but then goes into detail about hacking a regular ROM 1 motherboard into a IIe case.
  5. Read his post again. He wanted the label on the end of the cart.
  6. I have a question. Is it possible to take the Jaguar games from the Nexus build and add them to the Legends Ultimate build? i ask this as on the Nexus build they are just too slow to even try playing, since the Flashback 9 isn't overclocked. Since the Legend Ultimate overclocks the Legend Flashback I'm thinking they would be easier to play on there.
  7. I had my Sears system upgrade to a UAV vidoe output, by Crossbow, so I can either plug it into my Dell Monitor, that the 800xl is currently plugged into, or the Hisense TV in my bedroom. Unfortunately I can't hook it up to the living room tv as the Samsung tv doesn't have a composite input. I'm also using a Harmony cartridge with it, so I've got just about every Atari 2600 game I could find available to play. I'm going to send the Harmony cart to Batari and have him upgrade it to a Harrmony Encore for me.
  8. I don't know about the 2019 version of the Legend FlashBack but I do know that it will run on the 2018 version, the LEGENDS FLASHBACK (MODEL NO: FB8650). That's what I have and was just testing it out after loading it onto a 32GB Micro-SD card. It runs fine. There is also the LUFB_MAY21_2022 version. Though they are pretty much the same thing. Hope this helps.
  9. If I think the game is worth it I'll pay $20 for a digital download. A lot of it depends on either having a demo before hand or user reviews on.
  10. There's your problem right there. Normal Apple II disk images are 140K not 160k. Being 160k the GS won't recognize them as Apple II disks. The easiest way to turn them into 2mg images is to use AppleWin to copy the files from the disk image to a 2mg image. Load up Copy ][+ and make sure the 2mg image is formatted, then copy the files from your 160k image to the 2mg. Don't try doing a disk copy because Copy ][+ will complain about size mismatch, if I remember right.
  11. Back in Aug I bought a Sears Video Arcade on eBay, which was the Atari console that I bought back in 1980 when I was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Fl. I had to buy a power supply and, thankfully, having a few Atari Flashbacks I had controllers for it. After getting the power supply I plugged it in, had a connector to plug the rf cable directly into the tv and a few games I had previously bought for my modded FlashBack 2. Yes I have a modded FlashBack 2 that can play cartridges, but not everything that I have on my Harmony cart will run, mainly the Starpath Supercharger games. Turned on the Sears system and nothing. Got hold of ^-Crossbow-^ and took it to him to fix. He suggested putting a UAV in, that way I'd have composite out, or if I wanted to hook it up to the Dell monitor I use for the 800XL, there'd be s-video. Because of life happening wasn't able to pick up the Sears system until this last Sat. When I was at his house ^-Crossbow-^ showed me a problem with the power supply. If you looked carefully there were lines of interference running up the screen. He siad that was a problem with the power supply I bought. He suggested getting one from Console 5 but wasn't sure of they were in stock. When I got home I hooked the Sears system to the Dell monitor, via s-video, and was happy to be able to play it. Of course the intereference was there. Mon I got on the Console 5 website, saw that the Atari 2600 power supplies were in stock, so I ordered one. Got it yesterday, moved the Sears system into my bedroom and hooked it up to the tv via composite, plugged in the Harmony cart, fired it up and voila clear picture. So as I commented in another thread here I've come full circle, started with the Sears Video Arcade 43 years ago and now own one again. Loving the Harmony cartridge, able to put all my Atri 2600 games on one SD card instead of having multiple carts. Plan to get it upgraded to the Harmony Encore.
  12. My first Atari system was the Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade, That I bought in 1980 in Panama City, Fl while stationed at Tyndall AFB. In September of that year I transferred to George AFB, in Vistorville, Ca. Eventually bought and Apple II+ and gave the Sears Video Arcade to my fiance's parents, which of course I now regret doing. Fast forward to a couple month ago and I got another Sear Video Arcade off of eBay. It needed some work, so I took it to -^Crossbow^- to add s-video/composite video output. Finally had the chance to go pick it up this last weekend and am loving the video output. Bought a new power supply from Console 5, since there was a little interference visible on the screen from the current power supply. So I've come full circle after 43 years.
  13. You forgot to mention the Coleco Gemini, which was a Coleco designed and built clone of the Atari 2600. The interesting thing with the Gemini was the controller had both a joystick and paddle built into it.
  14. I'm glad to have been able to help. Hope you are getting good us out of Adventure Master.
  15. There is Buckshot, which you can download from this website: https://apple2.gs/buckshot/
  16. The notches would not be write protect, they would be write enable. I think you need to copy side 2 to a blank disk. I think the program is trying to write the date you gave it to the program disk so that any files you create will have a creation date.
  17. ColecoGamer, I've got a program for the Apple II called Adventure Master that lets you draw your own graphics for the text adventures you create with it. I can email it to you if you like. I have the documentation with it. The whole thing, between 2 disk images and the pdf is only 8MB. Let me know if you want it.
  18. Go to this website: https://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/documentation/hardware/printers/Apple ImageWriter II Technical Reference Manual.pdf and download the pdf of the Imagewriter II Reference Manual. Chapter 4 discusses fonts. Here is the text from the start of the chapter: This chapter also provides programming examples in both Applesoft BASIC and Macintosh Pascal for most of the commands. If you need to use these commands with other languages or applications, see the Writing Programs section in Chapter 1
  19. If you create the file on teh GS there will be a date associated with it, since the GS has a clock. Otherwise you need to add a clock to the //c or e. Another option would be to make the date the file was created part of the name, such as My File 08/03/23
  20. Did you download the firmware 2.1.1 update from the Atgames website and flash your Flashback with it? Did you download the firware update at the start of this thread and flash the Flashback with it? I don't know what hitmanpro.exe is but that is not something you need to use to update your Flashback 9. Did you read Draxon's direction on how to update the Flashback?
  21. Prodos 2.0.4 is the last official release from Apple. Prodos 2.4.2 is the lates version of Prodos for Apple II that the user community has made available.
