Congrats! My only working 5.25-inch drive at the moment is a TEAC FD-505 (the 3.5"/5.25" combo drive). Definitely need to pick up some more.

I bought this particular lot partly because it came with HotD 2 and a light gun. Won't be able to use the VGA box with it unless I can scare up a CRT monitor.

I tried to sell it a couple of years ago for pretty cheap (~$90)but couldn't. I'm glad I kept it. Beautiful machine.

I was also surprised at how low my CTIA machine sold for.

I think it is desirable only for completeists and collectors. I'm sure it would have sold if I had listed it just as an Atari 800 and not mentioned that it had an "older" graphics chip.

Don't they have an overheating issue? There should be a way to put a couple video card heatsinks on the chip to help with the heat

Same thing happened to me with three different Astrocades. Condolences!

Trouble is, when the OC overheats, the damage is done. I was running with a laptop cooler AND with the RF shield AND top plastic cover off. Not much more I could have done. I'm glad another can feel my pain, BassGuitari. This is my third too.

Yeah, the update won't install properly, and then Itunes won't even recognize the iPad until it is plugged into a 2.0 port. Then you have to restore to factory state, then restore everything else.
