  1. I was given a six switch 2600 by some bloke at a flea market today. Its in exceedingly dirty condition, though I could probably clean it up. Its missing one of the difficulty switches, though. Is it worth looking into repairing this unit? Normally I wouldn't give it much though, but the heavy six models seem to be important. Where could I go about sourcing a new switch/PSU? It doesn't have a power supply, so I'm not yet equipped to test it as my 2600 gear is stowed deep in a closet. Thanks!
  2. Hmm. Evidence that the VCS actually originated in 19th century Tibet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8u7px_GzWQ
  3. I don't need pics as much as I need an explanation why and how I can duplicate your success. Did you burglarize a classic gaming store? I've done that a few times. Dumb luck, really. I happened to meet a nice old lady who cleared out a game rental store or somethin' in the late 90's who was looking to get rid of all the games. I was just in the right place at the right time. Well, I hope to hell you volunteered to mow her lawn or rub the corns on her feet or something. And I still want to see pics on this. She said I did her a huge favor in taking the games, and she told me not to worry when I offered to mow her lawn or do something to repay her. I tried... The pictures are a few posts back. They're there!
  4. Wow. Thats quite a bit more expensive than I'd've thought. Thats way outta my price range...
  5. I've been readin' about the TurboGrafx, and it seems like a nifty system. If I were to purchase one, how much would it cost me? Core system/system with games, etc.

  7. Atari 2600 - Yars Revenge 45 minutes Frogger 15 minutes Asteroids 50 minutes.
  8. I probably should, but I probably won't get around to it for a looong time. Probably. That Fushigi ball confuses me to no end... Thanks! I've been a-lurkin' since I got my first 2600 in early '09.
  9. Dunno how to format images into my post, but heres one shot of all the games. Pardon all of the shenanigans going about on my shelves... And here's poor one of the games I mentioned in my first post. Along with a Super Famicom Tetris 2. Because I like it. xD
  10. TAKE PICTURES! Will do! I have closer to 100 CiB SNES carts, though...
  11. I'm 14, and I'd like to think that I'm not a TOTAL idiot...
  12. Dunno if this qualifies as 'thrift store' material, but I got 250 plus CIB SNES games along with 20-25 carts, Two NES systems, and a handful of NES carts for all of nothing. Among them I got Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Castlevania IV, Lufia's one and two, all CiB. Best. Day. Ever.
  13. I played Silent Hill when I was six or seven at a friends house... Scared the bejeezus outta me.
