  1. Oh woe is me, I have to wait for ZooKeeper because of another brilliant conversion? It's a great time to be an Atari owner.

I just got this game for Christmas amd finally got to sit down a have a session with it, so I will join the chorus and sing the praises of this awesome game. It's a freaking classic. I couldn't put the controller down.
  3. Done booked the hotel room and I hope to buy the full weekend passes shortly! Anybody want to buy my slightly beat-up but still fully working Tandy 1000 TL/2? I can bring it to the show if any of you guys are interested. I put Rogue on the hard drive!
  4. Whoops, didn't see that one. Mods can lock the thread on this one if need be.
  5. I just looked over the thread and I am floored. I never thought we'd ever get a port of ZooKeeper, and here we have a WIP that is one of the most gorgeous 2600 games I have ever seen. Damn. Bravo!!
  6. Anybody going this year? Last year was pretty decently ran from what I could tell, especially given the change in venue. Hoping they fill it out better this year, though.
  7. I'm listening to the most recent 'cast now, and just want to say: I love this podcast. You guys are so much fun to listen to. And yes, there should be a Pie Factory Prophesies segment. Done in the style of the Great Criswell.
  8. Wow, that's awesome! I've been eyeing the RC2014 for a while now, and this just put it into the must-buy list!
  9. An Apple IIe with a disk drive. It's irrational because I'd have nowhere to put the damn thing.
  10. Holy cow, that thing is gonna be a beast. In a good way, of course.
  11. Does anyone on this forum know anything about the creator of the AY-3-8500 chip, Gilbert Duncan Harrower, or the man who fixed it for NTSC, Ed Maine? I was hoping to be able to get an interview about its creation, but internet digging isn't getting me anything.
  12. Can you shoot me one as well? I'm curious as to what my options are.
  13. I've been wondering a bit myself. Best Electronics actually sent me an AV mod kit when I bought a replacement 7800 power adapter, but I'm hesitant to try it, as I saw a video that 8-bit Guy did on the subject using a mod kit he bought from eBay. That one looked to be a little easier to set up, since it comes with a little PCB for the components. I'm curious to hear what others' opinions are on the subject.
  14. I've been thinking about buying the Famicom AV mod kit from Console5 and have been looking over the schematic for installation. (https://console5.com/wiki/Nintendo_NES-101#) The circuit connects to 5v and ground, but where on the main board are the 5v and the ground? Just any place on the main board labeled as such? Thanks all
  15. If you already have a copy of Joust, I'll happily purchase your extra from you ?
  16. Spent some time with this last night. Great job! I prefer to play the game on hard mode - it's a lot more frenetic and exciting that way.
  17. This is amazing. I really hope this can be taken up by someone who can bring it to completion.
  18. I'm equally flabbergasted. I looked up the Hokey, and while that looks promising, there hasn't been much if any movement on the project. And the need for more of these chips is just growing and growing. How much do we have to pay to whom to come up with a solution?
  19. Awesome! I'm glad to hear you're still moving forward with this project. I just got my first 7800 last month, and I'd love to add this to my nascent collection!
  20. I am surprised that there hasn't been some attempt to create new Pokeys or create some kind of hardware emulation solution at this point. It must be more complicated than its SID colleague.
  21. The NES game is great - can't wait to try out this version!
