Well, that's a fun game and I got through on the third attempt. I am looking forward to the full version. Well done everyone!

I had to look up internet photos of the IntelliVision to even have a guess, and I thought that was probably the proper direction (I tried staging my photos as if I knew what I was doing, but we're being honest here). Does the cable fold under the controller in the tray, or does it get pushed into the center void between the controllers?
Yes, the cables should tuck in to the void in the centre.

It was the first game I got with the system at Christmas all those years ago and is still a favourite.
Different speed options would be good and how about a range of armaments to select from?

It was a typo!

QuoteDon't forget that Defender of the Crown was literally years in the making so a possible wait for a copy now is no big deal.

Thanks for all the great photos that have been posted, almost like being there!
While it is hard to work out the size of the combined Intellivision tables it looks like a very good display. Is it the biggest booth to date?

Let's keep this topic up.
Micro bump since Emanuele has already bumped it.
This game has all the ingredients to be a classic.

He’s talking about the Checkers with the ‘For color tv viewing only’ in very small print at the top. The boxes with these were very early runs.
Thanks for clarifying that, so many versions.

Nice acquisition! Those last two will be tough, especially Checkers.
Really?, I would have thought checkers was common as it was a pack in with the console when sold in australia and I always assumed the same happened in the res of the world. The boxes here were printed as draughts but the manual was checkers.

Thanks lathe for posting this link. I found it very interesting and it just shows how much work goes into retro game production.
The kitchen table assembly scenes I am sure would resonate with many game producers!

There is some great information there. Thank you for sharing!

Is it any good and will it work on a pal unit?

I'm really getting used to the new look and format. Being in OZ I have been following this topic all day while many of you have been asleep.
Have patience and I am sure it will grow on you as it has with me.

I don't see a way to do it, either. The obvious means would be to click on the time of the last post, which works in other areas of the forum, but that just opens up the conversation without scrolling to a particular post. I looked through the HTML source and there are anchors for each message in the thread, so it'd be trivial to jump to the last post. I'll add this to my list of things to investigate (as I'm sure other admins have complained about it) and look for a fix.

Thanks for the quick reply. Have you thought about getting some sleep?

Loving the new look.
Small issue, but when in messages I don't see a way to quickly navigate to the latest one.
I am always clicking on the first message no matter what I try.
Am I missing something obvious? ?

that's weird. I thought the Wicked Witch of the West had taken all away
Perhaps the wicked witch has headed south to "down under"

I can bring a big box for the whole crowd along or a box of individually wrapped mini bags. Maybe I can number them for collectible reasons.
I'm surprised no one has claimed #1 yet?
Are these not available in the US? No problems getting them and lots of other variaties in OZ.

My LTO Flash just arrived. Just need to finish work and its playtime.

What is his bank account number? I tried looking for it on his site but couldn't find any, do you perhaps also have his email address?
If you send Joe a p.m. through here he would be able to give you all the details.

I did a electronic transfer to Joe's bank. It took a bit longer than Paypal but worked just fine.

while a box is good to have it does not make the game any more satisfying to play. Sure, it looks nice on the shelf but the game to me - box or not, is most authentic in it's originally released form.
Trends also appear to be changing with rom sales being quite popular now, go back a few years and many people only wanted CIB releases.
My copy of Piggy Bank would not feel authentic if I took it out of its bag and shoved it in a box that the publisher did NOT make.
Is this Xmas 1982 or 2019? Lol!
