I have a little bit of a history with Pit Fighter.. About a decade or more ago I bought my first Lynx and Pit Fighter with it. A couple days later I was going to go over to my sister's and stay the weekend and spend time with my nephew. I was kind of excited he was little at the time and I wanted to show him the Lynx with Pit Fighter. I packed everything up clothes and Lynx for the weekend into my backpack. While at work that day someone stole my backpack right out from under my nose. So I never got the chance to play that with my nephew at that time. Later on a friend sent me as a condolence another Lynx which is just unbelievable. However that window of opportunity at that time was gone. It wasn't able to replace Pit Fighter right away and the Lynx needed a new flex circuit and screen. By the time the opportunity came around to recreate possibly that scenario again my nephew was too old. His father who is a trendy eventually taught him to dislike anything over 6 weeks old. The original Pit Fighter was stolen along with the Lynx it was in. But I still have the packaging from it and the original manual in great condition. While reading the manual for this competition I am reminded of all this. I hate that thief. Not just for the material stuff that he stole, my clothes, backpack and my Lynx. But I hate him for the opportunity he stole that I'll never get back.

As far as I know its hit and miss.

This is unfortunate. Its annoying to have to unplug the CD drive every time I want to use the GD.

Yeah just a thought. Figured I'd ask now while development was still ongoing.

Yeah its not an expensive TV. Its a Polaroid. The RF isn't fantastic but its better than AV. At least in my case. My Jag has CGA-VGA but the cable is defective so it needs touching up. But when its working its razor sharp. I'm just saying if anyone has RF input on their newer TVs give it a try. They might be surprised. I might just go back to CRT for most things retro.

I'm beginning to think that composite is not a good fit for modern TVs. I'm getting a better image on both 7800 and Jag through RF. Regardless of what I use to upscale or not. It's starting to look like RF is the way to go or if you need to mod it you need VGA. Though haven't tried S-video.

All the 2600/7800 home brewers hearing about 2600+ consoles selling out and expanding their customer base.

UK audience doesn't deserve any discounts. They can't even pronounce Jaguar correctly.

I use the keypad as well even with pro controller. I think even the pro controller layout is nonsensical.

Didn't one of the programmers say that back in the day their boss would throw things at them? Was it Seedy or someone else? I think Night Dive Studios recently said everything is remote work now for their team. Mentioning the downside is missing out on office comtaderie. Which made me think of the item throwing story.

Yeah perhaps in the future but probably not for this batch. I'm sure Atari wants to distance their logistics and official channels as far as possible from shipping mass amounts of er, unofficial clone products. Also Al I'm sure has to do this off the clock in his free time separate from whatever Atari has him doing. This is his own side project. Atari wants nothing to do with it on official time.

I finally got around to watching Mater's Tall Tales. Pretty funny. The video seems rather sharp in comparison to other Jag vids I've seen. Did you do anything special to encode it? I was able to adjust center of picture and use pause to flip the image. Is there any way to actually pause the video?
