  1. Mine is really good except for the snow.
  2. They would probably load the ones they have rights to onto a cart and just have the emulator run them that way.
  3. Yeah perhaps. Though Atari isn't directly doing it I would kinda look at how the 400 mini does also.
  4. Well Al probably ran out of out of dollar bills so he's been tipping them in 2600+ consoles and stuffing your carts in whatever skimpy thing it is they're wearing. Wade Rosen: Albert, what the hell happened to all our inventory? And who are those girls over there giggling and smacking each other on the ass? Albert: damn you Stephen...
  5. I still think they might do it. It may be cost effective enough to give it a try. It's notorious if not nostalgic enough with a still active homebrew scene. Also me personally I would combine lynx emulation with an additional Jag cart you could get that you plug your Lynx games into. And why would Atari renew trademark on the name to then not use it?
  6. Maybe sometime @The V-Man could spill the beans on the weapon stats. 1. What does (m) mean next to weapon damage. Assuming against magical creatures? 2. It seems some weapons more effective against some monsters than others. I can't remember the manual touching on this.
  7. I have a feeling they actually might.
  8. Its your fault for sending him the stripper-cheerleaders. Now he's distracted. Everyone, reroute all impatiently waiting complaints to Stephen.
  9. I am working through the original Towers 2 before really diving into the Enhanced. I do agree with the above reviewer that there is an element of guessing. Which keys do you keep? For how long? Why can't I open this door? No nearby levers or switches seem to be unlocking it. Does it need a key I discarded a ways back thinking I was done with it? How many black pearls do you need? One? All of them? Etc. I'm not sure what could be done to alleviate that except I hit on dropping things somewhere I can find them later. Like at the elemental crossroads. Other than that so far I think its a well done little adventure and I find it amazing what they crammed into 2mb.
  10. Ok I figured out my Qbert confusion. There seems to be a 8bit rom hack of Qbert where they attempt to fix the controls. It has no sound, plays different and is incomplete. I found what appears to be the original and using the 45 degree turn method is needed on this one for me. No Mandela effect.
  11. Must be having a Mandela effect moment. Experimented with Pogo Joe and Qbert a bit last night. I remember controller difficulties in the past but now even without using the given tip the controls respond how I'd expect. Also seem to have silent copy of Qbert with no sound. Rather baffling. Did RubyQ ever come out for anything besides the 5200?
  12. Thank you for that tip. That just opened up a whole new work for me. Finally I can play Qbert! And Pogo Joe is off the rails. AFter all these years I can finally enjoy these gsmes. just keep the Hyperkon 2 in 1 away from any of these Qbert games. It doesn't like them at all. And they don't like it.
  13. Just gotta get rid of that little bit of damn rf snow.
  14. I got one of my two packages yesterday. Wizard of Wor. Absolutely fantastic. Small suggestion. If Champ games could put a blurb in the manual about changing difficulty on the Title/High Score screens by pushing left/right on the Joystick it might help lessen some confusion. The manual makes no mention of how to actually change difficulty.
  15. Let us know how RubyQ is. I always wanted to get into Qbert and Pogo-Joe more but never could get use to the controls.
  16. It seems obvious to me the 400 was chosen because of the flat keyboard style. Anything else would have upper the complications and cost.
  17. Should be here tomorrow except one delayed by weather.
  18. 1. That really looks like a good candidate for a proper video. 2. No one has scanned these shells yet for recreation on a 3D printer?
  19. Is this basic made from scratch or based off of something like Atari 8-bit BASIC?
  20. Oh look another shipping notification. Bundled package could have saved Albert a buck or two.
  21. I just got shipping confirmation on something. I was so excited I may or may not have peed myself a little.
  22. How full featured are the developer UIs for whatever emulator it's using? Because I never knew how brutal living without copy/paste or other modern UI conveniences were back in the 80s. But now it's painfully obvious working on actual hardware.
  23. I think now that this sort of support for the rest of the consoles, Lynx, Jag and an ST version is probably a foregone conclusion at some point in the future. Lynx,Jag could probably be an all in one console. Perhaps with a Jag cart you just plug Lynx carts into.
  24. I also think that his supposition is kind of nuts that you should cut out half of the actual game content because there's not enough texture variety.
