Unfortunately,
I am using the PIC as is but I have to go thru the button sequence to select my resolution every time I power back up. and I found that you have to be quick about it.
I am also still getting the red led blink followed by two short blinks.
When I adjusted the onboard switches to a different resolution, i did get a half second green led. I assume from what I have read in the thread that that is the GBS initializing the parameters.
Cant wait for Sophia 3 to come out.

Well,
It took me a three week endeavor to get this to run but it now works.
1088XLD and VBXE and VGA2RGB carrier board.
THANK YOU MYTEK!
I have very muted colors. Attract mode colors are off.
I flashed my GBSCTRL PIC out of unit using the joy2pic stick.
Switches in the correct place and I have a stable pic to my VGA input on my screen.
I have a DELL monitor on the way and perhaps that will help.
We will see...

I just ran across a page that had what is called and FCC label.
Do a search for the label with that number and you may find it.
FCC BPA83A800

Thank You Very Much!
I was chasing issues with three 1050's giving BOOT ERROR and swapping mechs and MB
Wound up being a bad power supply.
I DL instructions for what I thought was a dead happy and whooldathunkit... It works with a tandon mech and installation instructions.

Some surface mount LED's under those transparent keys would be epic! FUJI Rainbow RGB leds...

It seems that I have a Tandon mech that works just fine with a happy upgrade.

I went through swapping motherboards and mechs for my four drives in total frustration recently until i found that I had a defunct power supply.
Just enough power to get the power up and head seek and park at start up but boot error after that.
A new power supply and I am back up to two stock and one happy drive. the other was used for parts on my 1088xld..
9 VAC is what you should read on the supply.. mine was putting out 15 vac so it went in the trash.

Not a single mention of that fact that you have a bug in your system! IBM would be abhorred!

Hello there.
Just got my 1050 Happy up and running and I need a copy of Warp Speed Software that will work with on original 1050 happy.
Thanks

WOO HOO!
Instructions are WONDERFUL!
I was able to install my 1050 Happy upgrade with controller into an older TANDON drive and I am HAPPY once again

I haven't purchased an actual mylar yet but i have two keyboards that have came preinstalled and they are great!
I have myself repaired two keyboards with silver conductive pen as well as drawing up a small nub of solder on the pads that mate to the mylar, to eliminate that wafer spacer.
Cheers!

Nope it just wired up straight up.
The thing that stumped me was that it is the ground and not 5VDC that sends the signal.
I will find it soon and send you picks.
it is possible i had to send it full stroke but the stroke is minimal with the size of the pots and stick.

1400XL questions...
in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Posted
Tong Schematics are available although hard to decipher.
When matched with 1200XL , and a little hard work you would be a God if you would build a motherboard!
