  2. I spent an evening burning through a cabinet to add a high security cam locks to one of my arcade things. I like how I have a key to my arcade stuff, and no one would probably ever break in but it is MY key cause I spent the time grinding so haha.

      A friend of mine a couple of years ago bought a Space Invaders arcade. It was remarkably heavy. Once in place, his small children started to poke into the coin slot and somehow pulled out coin after coin. He opened the coin department and easily found $100 worth of coins the previous owner never had collected!

  11. Been overhearing a ton of conversations from random strangers about Atari and Sega NES arcade etc experiences from childhood in public places. It really feels like a phenomenon.

      @Jin dude it IS scary and stressful! Bluth could sure make a frantic chase scene, with debris exploding all over wild camera pans, but the feeling of the movie is mostly downright hostile and sad!

  13. Rewiring a DB9 y-cable to add Genesis gamepad support to my original Spy Hunter, Stargate and Solaris carts. (Hooray for beer, solder and stress relief.)

      I think when I was a kid it was my favorite. I like to say that over the last several decades I've built up an immunity to it. That scene from Princess Bride comes to mind.
