  1. Sign ups for the year are now officially closed! Those who participated should expect Santa assignments soon! (Give us a week.;)
  2. So, I know about Rudolph's nose. Does Frosty's ass do the same thing?
  3. Bitmap Santa says: "Today is your last chance to join AtariAge Secret Santa this year!"
  4. Absolute last chance to sign up for AtariAge Secret Santa this year!  (you know you want to!)

  5. Yeah. My bad... Should have been bold at least. I moved it back a bit this year since things seem to be shipping a little more normally.
  6. Sweet! Did I get everyone so far? Please message me if you don't see your name on the first post.
  7. So... ... I didn't realize this used to be a Tempest until I got it home. Duh! At least Super Qix mostly works. Got some rom (maybe V memory) and color errors, and player 2 button doesn't work, and that missing chunk on the cabinet. Hopefully minor stuff. We'll see.
  8. Is something like Plutos considered part of the full set? I mean, with the Homebrews being such a thing, and lost titles. I'm pretty happy to have Baby Pac-Man and Rikki and Vikki. Those are going to be hard to find now. I wish I had Water Ski and Midnight Mutants, but would they get played? Maybe a little. Almost bought Ninja Golf this year. I think it was $100 or so. I hesitated. Lost my shot at it... But probably for the best. I might have played it for 10 minutes. Sour grapes? Maybe. But unless I threw a party, that's probably realistic. I had Scrapyard Dog, but it was so bad I traded it. Part of the trade was Centipede. Don't regret it for a second. Best two player co-op (only?) home version around. My kids love it.
  9. Oh sweet! Super Ray! (Short for Super Raymond! The sequel to Super Eduardo!) Just kidding. I've never seen this before! Is it NTSC?
  10. I still have a few left! My kids know they are special, so they haven't been picking at the bag. I think I'll have one now. Yum!
  11. Hahaha! Yeah! I put that phrase in there because it's one of those I can always imagine being said dramatically with an echo mic. Also the cheesy tie in to Will Robinson. Will Santa find his way home? Also, I don't know why I never thought to post this in years gone by, but this is now fixed:
  12. Nice! Yeah... Didn't know you had a full size Asteroids! Yeah... That's a cool topper. I have a full size Black Knight pinball, and I had the same idea. I wanted to put the mini Entex handheld version on the top... But those things can go for as much as the full size pinball game!!!
  13. Here's Asteroids... I know the sun is kinda bad, but it works after some tinkering. Ladybug is next. Just for fun... Let me show you the manufacturer label on the back of Ladybug. I'd LOVE to see another game made by this company...
  14. In your Dear Santa letter, I suggest listing which systems you collect for. Your Santa will find it helpful. Also if you maintain a have/want list, a link to that is a good idea.
  15. I got these today... How do I fit them into my 2600?
  16. Ladybug!!! Although this is known as an excellent homebrew here. I got the really big cartridge version today.
  17. AtariAge Secret Santa sign-ups are OPEN!

  18. Sign-Up for AtariAge Secret Santa 2023 is happening now!

  19. Yay! Participants are signing up! Don't forget to get your Dear Santa letter to us! Oh, and I'm in too!
  20. @chicgamerYes, I should be able to do that quite soon. I sent a second request for you to be able to edit it also. Thanks for all the responses so far everyone!!!
  21. Attention, ladies and gentlemen! This is not a drill! The official Atari Age Secret Santa Thread is NOW OPEN! Ladies and Gentlemen... Boys and Girls... Santa NEEDS your help! Aliens have aimed missiles to DESTROY THE UNIVERSE!!! Only Santa and his Reindeer team can disarm them in time! In addition to that, many many presents need to be delivered... and with Santa's attention being heavily diverted, he can use ALL THE HELP HE CAN GET!!! So please, won't you help you fellow retro gamers have a Merry Christmas, while Santa saves the universe? He's real busy. Also, the universe is real big. And our bearded bro in the ho ho ho has got himself all lost up in it. (It's 2023... we need one creepy AI image in here) Join @chicgamer and @CaptainBreakout ... together we can GET SANTA HOME! and we can make sure us AtariAge members who've got the REAL Christmas Sprit get all taken care of. 'Cause, we have the spirit of Santa in all of us. Make Santa proud! The Secret Santa gift exchange is open to ALL Atari Age members in good standing (explanation to follow). The Rules: 1. Post a reply within this thread of your intention to participate. 2. PM @CaptainBreakout or @chicgamer with the following information: Atari Age username Name and mailing address Ideas for items you might like (this can be specific, such as a particular game, or more general, like a console you collect for, or even a list of your hobbies or interests); please try to provide at least a few ideas. Send us anything you would like your Secret Santa to know about you for the purpose of gift giving. Please take the time to formulate some ideas for your Secret Santa. Secret Santas want to have fun coming up with your gift! In case your Secret Santa wants to include some treats, be sure to provide any dietary considerations or preferences. You may also offer a suggestion (e.g., "I love little chocolate things that look like planetoids when I squint!"). Please indicate whether you are willing to ship internationally. Note that international shipping can be expensive, so keep that in mind. If you participated last year, please tell us whom you were Secret Santa for. 3. All responses need to be received by Monday, November 6th. We will send out your Secret Santa notifications by Monday, November 13th. 4. How much you spend is up to you, but please don’t feel obligated to spend more than you’re comfortable with. We want as many people who want to participate to be able to, and we know this year (again) has been difficult financially for many. The suggested total gift value has always been around $30 USD. If you are in a position to be more generous—go ahead! But don't go broke. 5. We recommend you ship any packages sent via USPS during the first week of December. For international packages, we recommend you ship no later than late November. Please provide tracking information for your packages after you've sent them. This lets us know who might need a reminder about getting their packages shipped. The thread will be regularly updated as we get more participants. If you’re participating, please follow through with your commitment so that no one gets left out. Don't be a bad Secret Santa! No. Don't. (Remember this is about giving. Let's keep this going. Generosity is where it's at. Also, participation is a real commitment here.) As we said last year, we want to emphasize that Atari Age Secret Santa is about the giving. We all like receiving gifts, but if you're looking for an even exchange or coming out ahead, you're not really approaching this the right way. To reiterate what has been said in past years ... Don't be a Bah-Humbug and just enjoy giving and receiving with other Atari Age members. Need gift ideas? Easy. Just think about the member's interests. Also, gifts don’t have to cost anything (or much anyway). Also, just look through the threads for this event for the past (several) years. You'll get an idea of the amazing magic the members have made for others, and you can see what kind of gifts and gambits have been done in the past. It's all under the Events section of AtariAge. Good at Photoshop? Great! Print something cool and personal on glossy… maybe get it framed. Can you code? Wow!… do a little custom hack and blow their mind! A few loose carts. Look through your collection ... maybe something there that YOU never play, might be right up their alley. Have fun with this. YOU are someone’s Santa! What better opportunity do you have to blow the mind of another retro-head?... like yourself, but different? Have fun... You ARE Santa. CHEERS! Participants this year so far... 1. ClassicGMR 2.
