Yeah, I've been liking the 2017 NuVision one. Haven't played any games on it, but it's been working well for web browsing, reading manga, connects to the NAS alright, and it's even done okay at playing 10-bit 1080p anime files. Pretty good battery life so far. Haven't had to charge it in the middle of the day yet, just have to plug it in at night.

The first Windows tablet I picked up was the Chuwi Hi8 Pro and it completely died on me after about 15 minutes of use. If you're going to buy one be sure to get it from a US seller with a good return policy. I had one hell of a nightmare dealing with the Chinese website I bought it from.

I got the 2017 NuVision 8in 1920x1200 tablet. First two Windows tablets I tried had hardware failures within the first day so I was pretty wary of giving it another shot, but this one's been holding up well. Mostly use it for media consumption while in bed or relaxing in the bath. I don't use it for anything heavy since I have a good desktop and a couple ThinkPads I prefer using for most tasks.

I sold a Model M to a guy on eBay a while ago who was really into keyboards and was sending me links and stuff about the particular model I was selling. He told me to contact him if I ever came across any more Model M keyboards. If you want I can contact him and see if he's comfortable with me giving you his info.

800XL is a lot of fun, but so is the ST.

I was completely happy with 7, but the slight efficiency improvements and the more thorough Task Manager finally convinced me to upgrade.

If either of you ever go with Windows 8.1 in the future definitely download Classic Shell to bring back the Start Menu. In 8.1 you can also set up your computer to go straight to the Desktop, so you'll never have to even see the Start Screen if you don't want to.

Are those things any good? I see them at discount stores all the time and consider getting them before backing out.

I've been a Chrome guy for a while now. It's different at first, but I've found it to be better matched to my surfing habits than Firefox was.

Also, http://www.collectorscardsandgames.com/games.htm has good prices on games in general. When I first got my 3DO I bought a game (disc only) for $14 on Ebay, which was the cheapest one on there. The guy at CC&G had it boxed for $4. I haven't bought a game from Ebay since.

I'd say go for the Neo Geo CD or the 3DO. I myself have a 3DO and love that I can just burn games on a CD if I want to give them a try, and it looks like you can do that with the Neo Geo CD as well.

I know what you mean. I'm still in my transitional phase, myself. I bought an HD DVD player last month. I can't quite bring myself to go the full monty and get a Blu-ray player.
