  1. Kangaroo? What was wrong with kangaroo? I actually liked it better than the arcade version.
  2. From http://users.erols.com/tiltonj/games/tech/power.html True.. but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the lynx's do not handle this extra output very well. Or is it they do not have very good protection if the polarity is reversed. Either way, one has to be careful what they plug into their lynx.
  3. I don't really remember what happened to my first 2600, but then I never had many games for it. I had an intellivision two with a decent selection of titles (Diner included) that I think I gave away to a neighborhood kid. Most of the stuff I had over the years I just traded in for something new, or gave it away to people I knew or family members. I sold off most of my computer collection when I got married. Wish I woulda kept it all, especially my SNES stuff.
  4. This story would be even better if the person you sold it too frequents these boards.
  5. You suck.... On a serious note, the AI is tough, like you said. But I got good enough to be able to consistently beat the computer. I say we make a list and post a poll... My vote goes for the bat in Adventure. He has caused me more trouble..
  6. Rayman advance is another game that is hard to see on a GBA. I completely stopped using my GBA cause I was tired of all the contourtions I had to go thru just to see the screen. That completely changed with the SP and has actually renewed my interest in it. Although I admit it does cramp my hands a little. In fact my index fingers (which wrap around the l/r buttons) tend to bump into eachother. Annoying. Can't they ever get anything right? I'm seriously considering getting one of those mad catz grips. Ahhhh to have younger eyes.
  7. Get yourself some bi-focals sonny!!! Or better yet buy a GP32, it has a bigger screen!
  8. I made this point in some thread earlier before. Scrambles to find notes... ahhh too lazy... Anyways I made a comment as to the popularity of mini-games and how it pertains to the simplicity of 2600 titles. I also think one of the reasons is the "pick up and go" factor. It usually takes me 15-20 minutes to really get back into "the groove", or back on track in alot of modern games. With 2600 games I can just "pick up and go" and get my 20 minute arcade fix. No fuss no muss. The reason for the lead time? It takes a while to remember which button combo's go with which moves. Especially if you have not played the game in a while. It almost just as hard trying to remember what goals you accomplished and which ones you were working on when you saved it.
  9. some of my favs.. 13 Build a mobile for your newborn. 77 Mail to Howard Scott Warshaw 79 Collect them all! 90 Build a birdhouse 98 Use as pet tombstones. My own contribution Make into a PC mouse.
  10. Are you kidding? I actually wrote a program for my 8-bit that tracked high scores! It even took into consideration skill level, etc. Only to find out years later that someone stole the code, stripped it down and sold it to compute! magazine.
  11. ok... I took a look at the connectors for some of the hand helds I have. Nomad, gamegear - no go... to big Gameboy, Neogeo pocket - no go... to small I have this neat thing I bought from radio shack which oughta do the trick, but unfortunately the connector I got was a little to big, so I need to take that back. Best bet is to buy that big fat power box that holds D size batteries as a back-up. Has anyone considered offering to order the supply for him and sending it to him?
  12. It's the small pouch one with two pockets for games. Ok... here are the pics... Ignore the intellivision stuff, it's stuff for sale in my "other" thread.
  13. Hmmm looks like someone BIN'ed em already... I wonder if he got your msg.
  14. The S controller, or whatever it is called is alot smaller than the original xbox controller!! And after all.... size does matter... Just look at the 5200... hehe
  15. I wonder what my chances would be of finding those at our local place who sells them at a buck a piece... Of course if I found Jr. Pac-Man I'd probably keep that for myself.
  16. Alright... I usually do not do this, but I'm feeling really lazy right now anyways. I was figuring between $10-$15 for the lynx + carrying case. Maybe $2 or $3 bucks for the stuff I said is common + Bill & Ted and Klax (it's cheap here at the atariage store). The other games range from $10-$30 from other online stores (do your homework), but don't be afraid to offer less. I'm not looking to make more, or even break even. Just to get a reasonable amount for it. Just make an offer... Keep in mind I'm not asking much for the system, carrying case, or the commons. They go real cheap on ebay anyways. Send a PM... I have not updated the list, but I do have an offer already on Awesome Golf, and Baseball Heroes. Though I have not heard anything on baseball heroes. I'm talking to somebody regarding the lynx system as well, but the trade we would work out is pending another trade he may have going. So go ahead an PM me anyways. If it looks good I'll just find out what is going on with the other deal. Don't feel any pressure to outbid anybody, just make what you think is reasonable (good for you). Like I said, I'm not out to start a bid war. Unless someone is crazy enough to actually ask alot for it. I don't even mind if the offer is less than what I see them going for, cause I got this in a lot and my money was well spent towards the games I acquired. Just trying to pass on some atari goodness.
  17. Double boink! Come on guys! This is your chance to get lynx stuff cheap!!
  18. Pictures added of everything that is left. I forgot the 2600 and NES carts. But otherwise I think I got it all, let me know if I missed something. The cart with the handwritten label is Frogger.
  19. I hope you noticed this thread was over a year old before you posted a response.
  20. I have a ms. pac-man loose w/manual for ya if you want...
  21. wow... expensive... guy even has intellivision diner, boxed. Outta my price range for now.
  22. Lol, I'm keeping it mainstream American releases, so no crazy consoles like the SG-1000, Mark III or anything I'm still wondering if I should get a Pico Right now I'll be happy with a SMS, Genny, 32X, SegaCD, Saturn, Dreamcast, and GameGear. Aww come one... they are so cheap you gotta have at least one of each model. model 1, 2, 3, and CDX. model 3 and CDX are worth it for coolness alone.
  23. Yeah sony's handheld looks sweet. I made a promise to myself not to pass up on handhelds as they come out, cause you never know how hard they will be to find in the future.
  24. It makes for a great collector item. I got one with the lynx lot I won and I do not plan on giving it up.
