There's many hours of fun in the first one and the GOTY is super cheap so little risk.

i dont think any game is worth 60-70 bucks. but it is a good game, i played it once

Both are GREAT! I would say play through the #1 first as there are a ton of quests and in-jokes related to the first game you'll miss if you haven't played through it!
