  1. A prominent eBay store has had a Minestorm II cart listed for a few weeks now at what I thought was an outrageous price of almost $5 Grand. I just got an email alert from eBay saying that it had sold for $4,050. I have difficulty believing that to be a real sale, even with the speculation and currency devaluation in recent years. Sure, it was the only one to come up for sale in a good while, but that price just screams "foolish buyer" or money shenanigans. Here's the listing, for reference and Asset Tracking purposes: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155846013002?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bjg1d1WiSTS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=cssq4zlBQMK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  2. Joe is as excellent a buyer as he is a seller! In fact, nothing at all about it felt transactional, and it was rather like a casual conversation. He's absolutely flexible and patient, communicates clearly and accurately, and confirmed safe delivery once he took delivery of the packages. For any deal big or small he is absolutely reliable, and I look forward to more deals with him!
  3. Please put me down for a copy. I haven't missed an Odyssey homebrew yet!
  4. Updated to reflect that some items are no longer available. The prototype controller is still available.
  5. Nate and I just completed a very excellent deal for a large lot and I absolutely give him my highest recommendation as a buyer and all around swell guy to communicate with! He can be trusted for large amounts of items and money, communicates quickly and clearly, confirms safe delivery of packages, and went out of his way to provide useful information and advice. Rest assured that he is a worthy member of this community!
  6. Eddie and I just completed another successful sale and I give him my highest recommendation as a buyer. His communication is second to none, he pays fully and promptly, provides correct information, and confirmed safe delivery. I wish all people were as easy to deal with as him.
  7. Both, actually. There were also plans for Zenith branded VIS hardware, and other companies at least considered releasing VIS with their names. It's also comes up on eBay as the "Radio Shack VIS" because they were the ones that sold it back in the day.
  8. I recently purchased a large lot that among other things included a full Evercade games set and most of the hardware. Almost all of it is still sealed, except for Red Cartridges 6 and 12. I'd like to sell this entire set as one large lot for convenience. Total price for everything is $1,500. Price includes fully insured shipping within the US, and will be in a large box. Please message me if you're interested in buying this lot. Lot includes: Evercade Red cartridges 1-29, all sealed except for #s 6 and 12. Evercade purple cartridges 1-09, all sealed. Evercade blue cartridges 1-3, all sealed. Evercade handheld Purple Edition, sealed. Evercade Premium Pack, sealed. Evercade VS Founder's Edition, sealed. Evercade VS Founder's Edition Controllers, 2x, sealed. 5 issues of the Evercade Magazine. Evercade VS regular system, sealed. Evercade EXP Limited Edition handheld system, sealed.
  9. Microsoft recently made some fixes to the 360 Call of Duty game servers and now they all have healthy player counts. What little gaming time I've had lately has been used to enjoy these classics online once again.
  10. I completed the full US VIS retail set. This is not at all an easy set to obtain, as any full set collector will tell you. A complete boxed copy of Video Movie Guide 1993 is an R11 on a scale of 1-10, but the real rarest retail VIS item is an unopened Wired Controller. These were indeed sold to the public via the Radio Shack Catalog, but pictured below is the only known unopened Wired Controller. All of the few other known ones are loose., which technically makes my VIS set the only actually complete retail set. Not shown is a boxed system, as it is stored elsewhere. It should also be noted that the Title Sampler and Compton's discs never had full box packaging.
  11. Sean is as always an excellent seller if you have the opportunity to buy from him you can be assured of a flawless transaction. I wish all eBay sellers and those on here were as good.
  12. Hello, and thank you for your interest. As you might expect, I no longer have this item available for sale. It never hurts to ask, though. Believe it or not, I had 6 copies of The Flowers of Robert Mapplethorpe for the CD-i at one time. They've since been sold or traded, with one remaining in my personal collection.
  13. I looked at the pictures and have no doubt that it's a legit copy. I wonder if the manual actually is present, but just underneath the box insert? That's how it was on one other copy. The (seller?) also put up a thread here in the Marketplace: ...I could definitely see somebody willing to pay $25 Grand for this!
  14. I noted my error and thank you very much for your efforts on this game. Rest assured that even though there's intense demand I still intend to get a copy and that it will never end up on eBay. Also, thank you very much for doing what you can to thwart the (inevitable) scalpers. The Vectrex homebrew scene, like so many others, has had too many of them over the years. If you wanted, you could surely charge more for this game. I can't speak for anyone else but I know I'd be fine with paying a bit extra to buy directly from you the developer. There's definitely some good amount of unmet demand for this awesome game!
  15. I couldn't edit my earlier post but please do accept my apologies. I was indeed unaware of who (you) the seller is and it's a very reassuring thing to know that for once a high eBay sale of a Vectrex homebrew will directly benefit the community.
  16. Quoting my own earlier post in light of new information. Anyone reading it, please disregard it and do indeed bid on the Vyrzon listing, or any future one from the seller, as it turns out that he is a reputable member of the Vectrex community and the proceeds from the sale will be reinvested in the community.
  17. Can I please just buy directly from you, via PayPal or something other than your website? I tried to buy a copy last Friday at exactly 20:00 BST, which equated to 3pm here, had the time blocked off, was refreshing the page, hit buy at exactly the moment it became available, and while I was still checking out (ShopPay sucks!!) I got an error message saying it was no longer available. It literally sold out within 1.5 minutes. I have screenshots of it all. Same thing happened again this week. Meanwhile, some profiteering speculator in Uppsala, Sweden has already put up a listing for a copy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155530325233?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=OThW5Vd8Ryi&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=cssq4zlBQMK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I'd happily pay you more than what you're charging on the minsoft site and send you pictures of my Vectrex collection and setup to prove that I'm a legit Vectrex enthusiast because I really do want to play Vyrzon after so much hype and anticipation. On a side note, I'm sure you know who that scummy eBay seller is. There can't be more than one guy in Uppsala buying this game. There's no way they didn't buy it for the express purpose of instantly flipping it, knowing the Vectrex market. It'd be a decent service to the community to cut off that person from future purchases and to warn other homebrew developers exactly who the individual is.
  18. I'm starting this thread on behalf of Joe/CaptainJ/Worldofgames, as we've had several deals and he's absolutely the best kind of buyer and seller with whom a fellow collector could hope to engage. His communications are always detailed and and clear, as well as very conversational- we've got several running message exchanges! His packing is flawless, and shipping quick and correct. Be sure to buy from his site, as he has some really good stuff for sale that you can't get anywhere else. I look forward to many more deals with him!
