  1. Just a bump, to confirm that most of the above items are still available.
  2. Some of the later CRT sets have HDMI inputs. I'm still using those for everything from the 360 up to and including the Series X. Movies and older TV shows look great on these sets! As someone else said above, quite a few devices such as Rokus still have apps that directly allow for analog output: https://www.ebay.com/itm/115723476465?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=E76c2lH7Tu2&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=cssq4zlBQMK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY ... that one model in particular has become very desirable for people who prefer to watch stuff on their CRT sets.
  3. I go less than a day without checking the links and it's suddenly available and just as suddenly sold out?? Some things never change with the Vectrex scene. I guess I'll have to wait for the next release. Anyone want to take bets on how quickly a copy will show up on eBay?
  4. EdgeofPortal reached out to me about buying some of my CD-i spares and we were quickly able to work a deal. He was decisive, prompt with communication, paid fully and exactly as expected, and confirmed safe delivery as soon as his purchase arrived. We also now have an ongoing message chain, and I am absolutely fine with the new home that the rare items have found. He's a legit buyer, and I hope to have future deals with him!
  5. It's genuinely rare in the US longbox format, and very uncommon in the terrible vertical Eurocase format that Philips initially used in Europe and the UK. It also was never re-released in the later standard jewel-cases like a lot of titles were, and was even left out of several later US Catalogs unlike almost every other original longbox release. One of the few other such "de-emphasized" original longbox releases is ACT College Search '92, which is also one of the few US exclusives in that format. A former Philips VP outright told me that it quickly became outdated back in the day. There's been a few notable sales of both. The reason Anne Willan Presents the Food of France SOLD for $400 (and sold very quickly!) in that recent listing was because shipping outside the US was offered by the seller. Most of the CD-i community is outside the US, and a lot of them didn't know about the US longbox version existing until recent years.
  6. Good points, and yes, it does bear remembering that an NTSC release doesn't necessarily equate to a US release. Right now, some sort of documentation from back in the day would be of great relevance and interest. Speaking of which, are there any advertisements or brochures or company papers that have surfaced which mention the VCS Cat Trax? It occurs to me that even the likes of Birthday Mania and Gamma Attack at least had some documented availability, however obscure and localized, that proves that they were available to the public. Nothing yet seems to outright confirm that which I can find. Seems like the same sort of situation with TV Bingo for the Studio II, where multiple copies exist but it still hasn't been absolutely verified that it was a retail release, or only at a few stores, and there might be just one or two people left alive who know for certain.
  7. It occurs to me just now: one of the copies is sealed. Who shrinkwraps a production sample or a sales copy??
  8. Excellent, so that makes 3x VCS Cat Trax copies: one sealed, one boxed and possibly complete, and one loose cart.
  9. So for tracking purposes, is that copy one of the two known boxed copies or is it a third boxed copy, with this latest loose cart being a fourth copy?
  10. Heh, I can't help but think that over the years a few copies of Cat Trax for the VCS might have been mistaken as the common Arcadia versions and disregarded without a closer look. The question of where and how VCS Cat Trax would have been sold still stands, but if this many copies have been verified the possibility has to be considered.
  11. It's a bit surprising just how little discussion there's been about this copy of Cat Trax turning up. It's nothing like the Red Sea Crossing, Air Raid boxes, or the Extra Terrestrials discoveries, but to me at least it seems to be the equal of those. Sure, the title was already known to some extent, but now I have a hard time dismissing it as just a sales sample or pre-production thing. I'm sure the ultra hardcore full set 2600 collectors aren't happy about the possiblity of this having been offered for sale somewhere back in the day.
  12. Assuming that this isn't one of the other two known Cat Trax 2600 carts, this will make a third known copy.
  13. This is an amazing find and I have to actively consider the possibility that this cartridge did indeed have some sort of limited retail release. This is the third one to turn up, if my count is correct. Does anyone else think this should be considered part of the US "full set"?
  14. New in the box authentic OEM controllers are not cheap at all for pretty much any system before the 360, not like how they used to be. I have a collection of those for several systems just because I knew I'd eventually wear out enough controllers to be in need of replacement ones in the future. Wii U screen controllers that manage to remain in working order seem like a safe bet for future collectivity.
  15. Nothing too unusual besides off the radar yard sales and swap meets but a few museum gift shops selling obscure computer games and CD-ROMs would probably be the most unexpected. There's an auto parts store nearby me that has a random cardboard display for junk DVDs and Blu-Rays that I can only assume is there because some sort of corporate partnership. It's one of the sort that occasionally have unsold shovelware games.
  16. Up for offer is an unusual item: some vintage Mario fabric. This was something I got a long time ago and forgot all about until now. It came from an old fabric store that was closing down. It's never been cut or used, and has been stored away in a drawer until now. Somebody could probably still make drapes or pillow cases or whatever out of the material. It measures just under 12 feet by 45 inches. It's in good clean shape overall, with only the slightest spots on it and no observable discoloration or odors. I have no idea what to ask for it.
  17. 10-disc Spanish Art History series SOLD shipped. This and a companion set supposedly have the distinction of being the home game console release with the largest number of included discs.
  18. 7) Some of the rarest US CDi longbox releases, buy all for SOLD with shipping, or individually at: Anne Willan Presents the Food of France SOLD. The ACT College Search '92 SOLD Sailing SOLD How the Camel Got His Hump SOLD David and Goliath SOLD Earth Rhythms SOLD
  19. 6) Philips CDi DVC card and controller. $75 for both. That may or may not include shipping depending on your location.
  20. 5) 220 model Philips CDi player, with AV cords, power cord, and remote controller. Works perfectly and appears to have seen little if any use. Includes the DV card installed. Video of it working is available upon serious request. Shipping won't be cheap on this heavy system. NOT FOR SALE.
  21. Yes, I still use my 360 online regularly. I've been using it more often lately, as I'm trying to finish off a lot of Achievements that I never got around to back in the day. I can say that pretty much all of the Call of Duty games on the 360 still have good player bases on the weekends in Team Deathmatch.
  22. He and I just successfully completed a deal for some VERY rare hardware units and everything went smoothly. Communication was prompt, accurate, and very friendly. Payment was without delay, in full, and exactly as agreed. I'm very confident in knowing that my units now have a worthy new home and I look forward to more deals with cubanismo.
