  1. I agree 100% Al, I think its because the controls are so spot on, that it seems more noticeable when their off just the slightest?? Just my useless observation. The game rocks!!!
  2. Thanks for the binaries!! When I travel I take an Atari JR, my Harmony, and Flashback 2 controllers all tucked into a briefcase. There is enough room for one cart, and my loose PR was getting a little worn riding in the suitcase. Two things I've found interesting, 1. This game has a very noticeable "delay" when played on some newer flatscreen TVs. Not complaining, just found it to be more noticeable than on most games. At home I'm set up old school CRT and it's spot on. 2 Just in my opinion, the Flashback 2 controllers are the closest "feeling" thing I've found to the high maintenance CX-10 originals. And the stick unscrews for easy packing in my travel case.
  3. Thanks for all the tips. After reading and rereading the manual a few more times, I think I understand how to reflash it. Gonna give it a try tonight.
  4. Other carts to make sure it was not the console. The problem is definitely the Harmony cart. I may need to spend a little more time trying to reflash it, but like I said it doesn't show up anywhere on my laptop to do anything with when I plug it in?
  5. Ok, I was playing Berzerk for HSC, turned off console for dinner, turned back on to play after eats, black screen, nothing makes anything happen. Did all normal, and not so normal tests, different cart, console, TV. Same thing black screen. I put the cards in my laptop, and everything is still there. Plugged cart in with USB cable, but it doesn't show up anywhere to do anything with. HELP I will be to busy this weekend to try anything, but will take any and all advice to get my baby back. I miss her already.
  6. So, this is my point of view as a collector that has every intention of having my Atari stuff till i'm ashes in my race bikes gas tank. There is some, be it minor, difference in the box per Albert. If you look through collector guides for anything, Atari or other, that would be a "variation", some games the copy rite date is the only difference. And yet the value/rarity is affected? So there are two versions (not counting PAL) of this awesome game. How is this bad? I want a variant box too!!!!
  7. nah, at most he/she will loose $3-4 max. But on the flip side, seller won't profit too much, they take more when you sell.
  8. Wow, on eBay already! Just to be clear (because I was the idiot that wanted his box sealed with glue) and the post makes mention to the fact it's never been open/played........, It ain't me selling!!! My copy is resting safe and sound in a "keep-it-minty" box protector on my bar for display. ;-)
  9. Today the mailman was very nice to me!! :-D Albert, It looks GREAT!!! Your efforts are very appreciated by this gamer. Thank you. And again, Chris, SUPER job on the game. I love it. :-D
  10. Yup, up. And maybe it's only an illusion, but it seem's to me your man covers ground faster when running diagonally? Maybe not? I try to zig-zag as much as possible anyway.
  11. I know that you can shoot the robots bullets to avoid being hit by them, but do you score points for it? Every time I find myself in that position, it's to hectic to look at the score to see if it grows. And I think the shoot through neck thing it listed in the "Tips & Cheats" thread. It's a known glitch that helps a bit, If your very lucky.
  12. They look great!!!! I can't wait!!!
  13. stardust4ever, this is the first boxed game I purchased from AA, didn't know about the sticker seal. I agree, if thats how he ships it, that would be how to keep it. I have no intentions on playing this one, I have two loose copies, that rock. My point was just all the "silver box" games came in glued shut boxes, and shrink-wrap on some/most. As far as I have found anyway. Well, I was just moving boxed games around, and found the more "gray" boxes are flap folded, no glue. But I do have several on the shelf also that are just like this> I ended up with a few extra "new" games and opened them with my kid to show how it was. Anyway, this was still shrink-wrapped, and that was the only way in. Cut the glue, as I did, or just rip it open.
  14. Clarification, game 9 offers no extra lives at a certain point level, or we're only playing one life and taking a screen shot? Just loaded up game 9 B/B and I get 3 lives to start? Sounds dumber as I type it, but want to be sure.
  15. I agree, I also love the new game being posted Saturday this season. It breaks up the games a bit over the weekend. Cram on the old, take a break testing out the new.
  16. Lets get the bonus taken care of right away. At the current time, and for some time now, 61 BASIC MATH is my most hated game . The reason for that is, it is the last in the "gatefold" series that I need to complete my collection. I have watched a few recently go for over $200.00 !!! They were nice, but thats way to much!! And it's only rated a 4 in the rarity guide. Anybody got any for sale? ? ? ? ?
  17. I know the cart mold discussion moved to it's own thread, but I was wondering, If Albert reveled his perfect system for cleaning/prepping cart shells, I'm sure some fellow AA members would be glad to strip, clean, and prep there stacks of in the way common/extras. Or split up and ship to willing volunteers, 25 or 50 of the needed shells to do, and return ship? Its fairly cheap to flat rate ship a box that size just about anywhere in the lower 48, and in my experience fast. I for one would be glad to pitch in. Just a thought.
  18. After watching Albert's step by step on what it REALLY takes to make these VERY professional homebrew releases, I think it's a steal at any price!!!!! I can't wait to add it to the collection. One question, or request I had was, I read in an earlier post that you don't "seal" the box . Thats why I bought the loose one, I didn't want to open my boxed copy . Could you seal mine with whatever glue you use on the other tabs ? Or tell me what kind of glue you use and I'll do it . In any case, I'm STOKED  to get my hands on this thing!!
  19. Not much game time this week. Think I can get the hang of this one with some time. 22690 for now.
  20. Just read the Wired review, it sort of sounds like they cast it off as a novelty. Like anyone with a PC could whip it up on a rainy afternoon. Maybe I am a bit to nostalgic when it comes to the 2600, or just had a really lame game selection as a kid, but this is a gem!!!! My Mom was a big NES nut, I got her playing the 2600 again and bought her a copy of PR, every time I see her she tells me how much she plays/loves the game. And Dad tells me she needs a job. I just think it deserves a true review, by a hardcore Atari player?? Just my pennies worth.
  21. Well I guess the old saying/warning holds true on this one. READ INSTRUCTIONS FIRST. I played for about a half hour before I realized, GO IN THE IGLOO AFTER YOU BUILD IT DUMMY!!!! I kept walking around waiting for the next board, or more ice blocks!!! :dunce: Now I'm getting somewhere, on the board at 8830 to start. Hope to improve, If not i'll post a pic.
  22. On my apple stuff, I click MORE REPLY OPTIONS at bottom right, Then at the bottom left, click "choose file', pick and click on your picture in "finder", let it load, then click "add to post". It will show up in the post as a text file name, but will show as a picture when you post or preview post. At least thats how I do it? Hope it helps.
