  1. Hey everyone. I'm still trying to sell these, and i'm sure they'll go to a good home. Now on eBay. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FSega-Genesis-2nd-Generation-Console-Game-Bundle-%2F290862011136%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games%26hash%3Ditem43b8ba1300%26_uhb%3D1 Thanks for looking!
  2. Hey guys, here's a penny auction I put up. It's at $0.01 right now. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290860226664
  3. Someone mentioned this on the Planet Virtual Boy forums... http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fitm%2FAtari-Jaguar-VR-Headset-LOT-ULTRA-RARE-HOLY-GRAIL-MUST-SEE-%2F221179309693%3Fclk_rvr_id%3D442801492378 Quote: Atari Jaguar VR HEADSET LOT *ULTRA RARE HOLY GRAIL* Description: This is the Holy Grail of Jaguar Collecting. There are only 2 working Jaguar VR Headsets known to be in worldwide existence, all others were destroyed shortly after Atari merged with JTS back in 1996. This is the first time EVER that a working Jaguar VR Headset has been put onto Ebay. Many years ago there was a non-working blue/gray mock-up that was sold. This setup is the Red/Gray Low Resolution Setup. It is also the ONLY Atari VR Headset that has the Atari Jaguar Logo and markings on the Headset which is really cool, it can also be seen in a few old Atari videos and displays and was in some old gaming magazines and was at some gaming conventions back in the 1990's at the Atari booth. This Headset has been passed down from Private Collectors over the years and now you have a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of the Atari Jaguar History. There are also 2 non-working Mock-ups(red/gray&blue/gray) and a working blue/gray high resolution setup known to exist. Since it was in it's Prototype stage and was eventually dropped for the higher resolution Blue/Gray set-up it does have a few minor issues from time to time. I have replaced the original ribbon cable connector that connects the Jaguar console to the VR tracker, there are now 3 new spare connectors that make a huge difference. Sometimes the headset shows a double screen when looking through the Headset, without taking it apart I haven't been able to adjust this issue, it seems minor like maybe a short in a wire ,but not being an expert I didn't want to open it up and possibly ruin it since it is so expensive and unique. It takes a lot of patience to get it running and I have included set-up and connection instructions to help. The tracker uses infra-red tracking,so the Headset must face the tracker when its being used. You will need an Atari Jaguar console with hookups and a working controller and also an extra power supply for the tracker( It must be an official Jaguar power supply or else you will run the risk ruining the tracker). You will also need a Scart connector to RGB monitor if you are using an Atari SC1435 Monitor. The only game released that works with the VR setup is Missile Command 3D which is included boxed and complete. Zone Hunter was rumored complete but hasn't been found aside from a useless dead Alpine Board long ago. Also included in this lot is a prototype Space Joystick PCB and a Jaguar VR gun and a few other items listed below. Its in pretty good condition overall for what it is, but there are a few scuffs and marks on the headset and tracker, nothing is broken, its very fragile and needs TLC. It does work once its setup correctly, sometimes not the best, sometimes it's fine. It is a prototype and it's being sold as-is, no refunds and no returns will be accepted, all sales are final. I usually only ship to the United States but if you are overseas or have zero feedback contact me first and I may be able to ship to you depending. I originally bought this Jaguar VR with the intent on taking it to gaming conventions for others to see and enjoy, sadly it never really happened the way I wanted and it's just collecting dust in the closet. I'm not very active in the Jaguar community much anymore and I really need to let this go due to financial reasons. Its the last piece of what was my enormous Jaguar collection. I'm starting the bid for much less then what I paid for it and I really hope it goes to a great home, it should probably be in a Videogame Museum. LOT INCLUDES: Atari Jaguar VR Headset HMD 2 Trackers and extra Face Cover Atari Jaguar VR GUN Atari Jaguar Space Joystick PCB VR EEProm V- Track Set/Extra Chips Consumer HMD Software Storyboard Zone Hunter Consumer HMD Software Storyboard Space Invaders Missile Command 3D Game Boxed/Complete 3X New Ribbon Cables (connects console to tracker) 15 way High Density Plug VR Connection Setup Instructions Vintage Used Atari Jaguar VR Tee Shirts (1x Large) (1x Extra Large) some photos: http://s3.filetrip.net/p/43/16956-01jag.JPG http://s3.filetrip.net/p/43/16957-02jag.JPG http://s3.filetrip.net/p/43/16955-04jag.JPG
  4. The rom for Faceball for Virtual Boy has been released! http://www.planetvb.com/modules/news/

  5. I might as well bring this up again. I'd also like to own a CIB japanese version of Virtual boy Wario Land. You can't see the art in all its glory on the US box, and the Japan box has class. Besides, other than the original SMB, Wario Land is one of my favorite platformers of all time.
  6. Updates! Anyone wanting to know how the development of Faceball: Remeastered, should check here. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4817&forum=2&post_id=21665#forumpost21665 Also check out DanB's cool Ballface homebrew, which he based off of descriptions and videos by Mr. G, the previous owner of face ball, before knowing it would be bought. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4813&forum=2&post_id=21658#forumpost21658
  7. The release is more of a fundraiser actually. There are two editions, the regular prototype for $100 with box and manual and everything, and a $200 donator's edition with a ton of artwork and extra stuff that comes with it. Also, because the original game wasn't complete(no Arena mode, 4 stages were all the same 14 levels each, but faster enemies), someone is working on creating the rest of the 56 levels, and if we're lucky, might include the finished Arena mode. That will be "Faceball: Remastered", and may be the $100 or $200 edition. Visit planetvb.com for the whole scoop.
  8. Faceball release details right here. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4816&forum=1&post_id=21473#forumpost21473
  9. Anybody ever play Faceball on GB or SNES? Comparisons?

  10. Bound High! for Virtual Boy coming into mail soon. Ready to buy the long lost Faceball on VB as well. :)

Nice find on the Faceball. Congrats!

  11. Hey everyone, Recently, Bound High! was released on the Virtual Boy after many years. Now, Planet Virtual Boy has also obtained Faceball! The rom will be released, but only after the cart release. Read the whole thread here. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4778&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=0 Also, apparently this is the best version of Faceball, so that's great news. Here is a rare review of the game. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/articles/?s034140001 I do wonder if Dragon Hopper and Zero Racers will ever show up though...
  12. Anybody remember Cube world? Those cubes with stick figures that did stuff and could go into each others' cubes? I love those, but they're way too expensive.

  13. Playing Wario Land on Virtual Boy. What a fun game. :)

  14. Was playing V-Tetris on Virtual Boy this morning. It's by the same people who made the Game Boy port, and it's 10 times better!

If you're the kind of person who "gets" the VB, then yes. If you hate the VB, V-Tetris won't change your mind.

  15. Hey now after several months I finally beat Sega Pitfall II(while also getting 100%) on SG-1000! NOW, I can spend all my time on The Castle.
  16. Chack'n Pop is awesome!!

  17. Got Chackn'Pop and Star Jacker for SG-1000 and a ton of Virtual Boy games for Christmas, including Jack Bros! :D

  18. If you're still wondering about the speed up/speed down button, you can use that at anytime in the game as many times as you want.
  19. Merry Christmas AA members!

  20. Yes, it's true. Why would I lie? I have the actual cart on SG-1000.
  21. The second button speeds up/speeds down the game EDIT: Luc, you might be thinking of the MSX version. I've never played that one, but MSX games only use the spacebar for some bizarre reason, and The Castle was originally on the MSX. Sega probably had that issue with the game, so when they reprogrammed it, they must have put the speed up button in. It's a very useful button. There are many times where you need to switch back and forth speeds, and the sped up music is fun!
  22. Trust me, it took a LONG time. Figuring out the best strategy to beat Drancon on each stage, as well as getting past the stupid pits that warp you back two stages took some time to get used to. I'm still trying to beat Sega Pitfall II. That's easily the best platformer on the system, and almost as fun as Super Mario Bros. I'm currently able to get two of the four items, and reach 76,000 points, which is 100% up to the point I die at. I think 100% in the whole game is 88,000 points, but I am not sure. The Castle is also an awesome platformer that must be ported to ColecoVision, but there are areas where you can get stuck, and it is a very long game. There are 100 rooms, and so far I can only reach about 35 rooms. Speaking of today, I now have 21 games in my collection! Star Jacker is a very simplistic shooter, but is extremely fun to play, has a timeless little tune, and is as addictive as Monaco GP. SG-1000 is a force to be reckoned with. Not even the mediocre system everyone makes it out to be.
  23. Hey everyone, I just beat Wonder Boy on SG-1000! While it isn't exactly the best port, and has several things missing from the Arcade, there are many things that the port did right. The level design is excellent, and fighting Drancon is more fun than on the Master System. Also, the final stage is really bizarre and cool, unlike stages from any other version. While Wonder Boy is only a 5 stage game, it will take you weeks to beat it. Whenever the game comes out on ColecoVision, I highly suggest buying it. After all, it is the only Wonder Boy game completely by Sega themselves. Rating: 7/10
  24. Playing SG-1000 games on Christmas Eve, and now I have cable!

Awesome! I want to get a Sega Mark III at some point.

      segagamer99

Probably your best bet, but SG-1000 games' colors are very ugly and dark on a Mark III, so be careful.
