  1. It was on the back of the box, not the manual. And I am still pretty sure that you need an apostrophe. Also, your link doesn't work.
  2. Congratulations to the AtariAger (a repeat customer) who won my eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131942101874
  3. I would like to thank all of you here, on AtariAge, who recently helped me to turn some of my loose Intellivision game carts to the CIB versions. You know who you are. Thanks to you, I now have the following CIB games in my collection: Buzz Bombers Happy Trails Mission X Pitfall Sharp Shot Tron Maze-A-Tron World Championship Baseball World Cup Soccer Worm Whomper Super Pro Football Shark! Shark! Reversi Donkey Kong Junior Defender River Raid Turbo Checkers Motocross I am getting closer to having all 125 games CIB. Here are my remaining loose carts that need to be turned to the CIB versions: Zaxxon Popeye Star Wars Chess Pinball Dig Dug Super Pro Decathlon Triple Challenge Pac-Man (AtariSoft) Pac-Man (INTV) Hover Force Body Slam Thunder Castle Tower of Doom Mountain Madness Thin Ice Congo Bongo Diner Centipede Lady Bug Mouse Trap
  4. Here's another one of my eBay auctions, with some more loose carts for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131948567183
  5. My CIB Shark Shark arrived today. I love this seller. He packed it in a huge box, with a mountain of protective wrappings. It also came in a plastic protective cover, with a big hand-written THANK YOU! Even in his feedback, he showed that he has a sense of humor: A+ 100% MASTER OF eBAY, SOON TO MASTER SHARK! His eBay handle, for anyone interested, is: ideologicalapparatus-7
  6. But an enemy group could still be thought of as multiple enemies. It would still be proper to say enemies' planet. It is THEIR (that group's) planet.
  7. Just a reminder that my eBay auction is ending today, for anybody who may be interested: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131942101874
  8. Not if there is more than one enemy. If it is a group of enemies owning the planet, then it should be enemies' planet.
  9. Got mine today too. Nothing missing, but I did point out one grammatical error to Rev. On Space Cadet, it should be enemies' planet, not enemies planet. Really like the cool-blue matching colors, also.
  10. I am legitimately angry, especially with William, because I think he reported me to FSS. Let me explain... I am not even a ROM person myself. I just thought that certain people were making a big deal out of nothing. I am a "life is too short" guy. So I couldn't understand why normal, rational, reasonable people would be so against the idea of a ROM. I don't get trademarks and copyrights and all that jazz... because in the end, we are ALL flesh and blood and bones... and I think life is too short to be so stringent about sharing one's ideas with others. One day, we'll ALL be gone... and then what? What will these kinds of things that we tried to protect so hard (in our earthly lives) mean? Absolutely nothing. That being said, what happened here is very simple. I TRIED something... and it FAILED. So what? They did not grant permission. It was a failure. Like I said before, I have no regrets. In life, you have to try. And I STILL believe strongly that everybody has a price. Offer FSS a million dollars (or more), and see if they don't bite. I still say they will. But because I don't have that kind of money, I am forced to talk in hypotheticals. Maybe I made a mistake in posting their email here. But that's it... it was a MISTAKE. Did the fact that I posted the email have to be reported back to FSS? I don't think so, but FSS just informed me that they were made aware of this thread. And I think it was William. As I said before, I had/have every right to email whoever I want, on my own behalf, as a private civilian. I don't think, by contacting them, that I did anything wrong. Reporting me to them (both my posting of their email here, and my "everybody has a price" comment) is, IN MY OPINION, the equivalent of kindergarten tattle-tailing, where the whole point is just to get me in trouble. I didn't appreciate that, especially since I personally don't even use ROMs, and I personally couldn't care less about a Boulder Dash ROM being released. I am done with this thread, and I am done with this topic. I am sorry that my efforts in TRYING to accomplish something were so unappreciated here, and I am sorry that my FAILURE (and my actions along the way) is/are being treated like the end of the world. Have a nice day.
  11. Everyone has a price. If you offer them enough money, they'd bite. But of course, I don't have that kind of money. It was still worth a try. I have no regrets. It's not like I'm emailing them "on your behalf." I am acting as a private civilian. I have every right to email who I choose, without YOUR permission.
  12. I just added another CIB game to my collection. A little pricey, maybe... but I really wanted this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201668477261
  13. Well, guys... I tried... At least I wasn't afraid to contact them, and give it a go! It's not like I've lost faith in humanity... yet... I mean, I'm sure they're still nice people... And I stand by what I said before... sometimes, all you have to do is ask. Just be ready to be disappointed, sometimes, I guess... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, Thank you for your prompt reply and clarification. Since we continue to actively publish and otherwise commercially exploit Boulder Dash (for example, 7 days ago we released the PC & Mac versions of Boulder Dash-30th anniversary on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/502320/ ) we can not condone non-commercial distribution of any platform version of any of the many games in the Boulder Dash series. To do so would not be fair to our partners who have made, and continue to make, significant investments in supporting the Boulder Dash brand. Further, we have fiduciary responsibilities to third party royalty participants to protect the Boulder Dash intellectual property. Those are just some of the reasons why we can not grant permission to release a free version of the ROM of the Intellivision, or any other version(s), of Boulder Dash Vol. 1 ... or any of the other games in the Boulder Dash series. We very much appreciate your kind consideration and your asking us directly about this and do hope that you can understand our (necessary) position on this topic. I believe First Star Software, Inc. and Boulder Dash may be different than most, if not all, of the other 'retro' titles that have been ported to Intellivision due to our continued development and publishing activities. I'm sorry if this is a disappointment. Best regards, Dianne First Star Software, Inc.
  14. Well, I wasn't part of that thread, so it's automatically nullified. It never happened.
  15. Early version? So... like... still a copter, but not in command?
  16. As you wish, Rev. I have requested that the ROM be made available for free... as a digital backup.
  17. No, we have never discussed a Boulder Dash ROM topic before, to my knowledge. This is what I know: 1. FSS has responded, thanking me for my email and my kind words. 2. They want to know if we want it released as freeware, shareware, or as something else. How should I reply?
  18. I emailed them. We'll see what happens. EDIT: Although I fully acknowledge that I can't make any promises, we all have to remember that these are human beings and gaming enthusiasts like us. They are not out to make our lives miserable. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask.
  19. From my experience in talking with them, the people at First Star seem very nice and reasonable. I bet if you ask them for permission, they'll agree to just about anything. I don't see a future ROM being a problem. But that's just my opinion. Obviously, I am not in a position to promise anything.
  20. Shipping was $4.94, so it was $5.94 total. Anyway... I had some Amazon.com rewards points available, so it came out to $0.00 in the end.
