@Blazing Lazers Nice! I played several of the Halo games under my buddies' gamer tags in my college bachelor pad. I did go back and grab some MP achievements from Reach and H3, and beat all the 360 campaigns under my tag. IMO the chart below from 343 does a bad job lol. What do blanks indicate? If you have yes, no, & limited support icons... what is left to leave as blank LOL!? The text in support page linked below does a better job of adding context IMO. I think achievements tied to single player should mostly be good unless somehow also tied to Bungie/343 servers. I booted up Reach for a couple games this week. The 30 FPS takes some getting used to again after MCC, H5, and Infinite ?. Will you be playing 360 titles headed up to 1/13 sunset? I may hop on some over next 2 weeks. Sad to see them go, but MCC has vastly improved and does a good job of preservation... even if the PC Gear Box versions of CE & H2. I also want to go back and play original Halo Wars. Looks like some of those achievements may not work (again with the table blanks lol). From a preservation standpoint, just noticed XB1 HW Definite Edition (vs 360) didn't get a standalone physical release on XB1, but this one includes both remaster of HW 1 & HW2: Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition ... will have to pick it up. HW DE achievements not impacted. Thought below would be helpful for anyone not closely following Waypoint, MCC, 343 blogs, etc: XBOX 360 ONLY- ONLINE SERVICES WILL BE REDUCED OR DISABLED FOR HALO 360 GAMES ON JANUARY 13, 2022

So this brings me to 360 achievements... I know Halo is losing some achievements tied to multiplayer & 343 servers. For single player, or non 3rd party server dependent, for achievements are they coded into the game? Then ping XBL once met for gold/tracking? Anyone have insight into that?

Just saw a video and they added widescreen to the first Max Payne. Thought that was pretty sweet and not advertised. Wish they'd do the same to Otogi games & Gunvalkyrie.

I've been saving the campaign (too busy around the holidays & Q4 work calendar to dig in), but have been in on the multiplayer through all 3 betas/flights and post launch. Was a fun experience ? Is anyone playing the arena or BTB multiplayer? Add me if so - xJAGOx

Hey @Shinto, as a heads up... something may be going on with your podcast on Stitcher ? I couldn't find it using search within app. Had to specifically hunt it on Google. I can only view on Stitcher web not app. There's no ability to DL podcast for offline listening within app (vs stream) on web. Anyone else running into this? Maybe just me? Yeah, was referring to more the monthly, own at end. It's 0% APR financing. I read the fine print, it's actually financed by Citizens Bank on back end. On electronics, most people view that as rent to own from the old Conn's or Aaron's model, which is similar... don't forget your bank owns your car & house until paid off, not you ?. Either way, seems like a great deal. Reminds me of how cell phone carriers will just spread your phone hardware cost out over the term with no interest. That's what Verizon does anyway.

So reportedly, MS Emailing Xbox Insiders for new consoles to circumvent scalpers. Selling direct. Go sign up for that. Can we confirm All Access sub route has consoles available? Even the Xbox One S & especially One X consoles are going for good money on eBay right now. Can confirm we're also seeing major impacts of chip shortage & manufacturing bottle necks in work life. I have clients waiting 100+ days for big name OEM network switching & wireless from me. I'm being told auto manufacturers are being given priority right now. Look at the empty Chevy lots next time you drive by one. Auto expects it to get better later in year. Tech industry wide... hearing into 2022 unfortunately. Right now, hitting everyone hard.

Unfortunately it's common with Euro platformers that were on Amiga because that control scheme fit KBM better. Didn't translate well to d pads. Pretty commonly agreed upon.

@CyranoJ, assuming you test on Skunk/Alpine vs emu? You test at all in VJ? I work in technology sector, but not a coder or software engineer by any means. Some of the ST ports have headers to prevent from working on anything outside of cart, right? I'd be DLing above board, off your pinned threads. Feedback on other homebrew available for legit DL & emu?

All really helpful. I will dig into VJ on RA core this weekend for the first time in a few years. Does VJ run the ST ports available for DL? I know I've seen testing/build scree shots of some homebrew running within it. I honestly had forgot about Project Tempest. I didn't have good luck with it previously. Assuming it runs Tempest ? so ok in my book.

A few questions: - How is the VJ core in Retro Arch? I'm on PC. - Is Phoenix the best option & is it available in English now? - Do majority of the homebrew & ports (released for proper DL) work in VJ? Phoenix? Thanks all.

So when you attach a cat box or similar, what is being output from the DB9 video port? I guess I just always incorrectly assumed it tapped into RGB & output 15Khz VGA as RGBHV. Looks like that's not the case. Related... can the Jag output CSYNC over SCART natively?

While I also dig my physical media, keep in mind the VAST majority of games these days require patches or receive significant updates impacting (often improving) gameplay. Years from now, let's hope the XB1 games can be manually patched (this is doable on a modded 360 with no XBL). Archiving these patches is an odd area of preservation that isn't discussed much. Let's hope it picks up steam. I bought a physical copy of Master Chief Collection... then proceeded to have over 80GB downloaded from XBL ?. WTH!? Also keep in mind, disc games DL to HDD & run from system HDD. They no longer read data in real time from DVD/BD drive. To my knowledge this is all games, but may be exceptions. I still buy some physical games but seems to be making less & less sense year over year.

@Greg2600 this should lead you in the right direction. If you can't find files, I can pull them off my xbox & Email over. There's 2 versions. The one I pictured stuck more to original but the other has IP, HDD space, etc on main dash. Keep in mind, you can strictly pull all that info from settings.
