  1. Well, Ed Williams... it is a real pleasure to read about your experiences with Nightstalker and your records. Welcome to the forums and thank you for the tips. We have just been playing Nightstalker a couple of weeks ago as part of a knockout tournament. DZ Jay a fellow forum member and a great INTV programmer (he has just released Carol vs Ghost, one of the best, if not the best, homebrews for the INTV) showed some interest in re-booting Nightstalker using the same engine of Carol vs Ghost. You should definitely talk with him. Welcome again and it is a great pleasure to (electronically) meet you! See you around!
  2. Actually Liduario if I remember well the colour of the little square at the top right of the screen (right side of the score) denotes the level at which you are playing the game. I think that a white square denoted the highest speed. Cheers!
  3. Wow... the overlays look awesome! Congratulations on the great work! Count me in for a set or two. The INTV 'Hood overlay looks like a fun idea. BTW how do I know if I am part of the INTV Brotherhood. I signed up in Rev's website and received an email from him saying hi. Is that all or is there a secret pact that involves blood, an initiation, killing a cat or something like that?
  4. I would like to thank Carl for creating such a fantastic game! Both Karima and I have thoroughly enjoyed the game and the competition. My gratitude goes also to Rev for organizing the contest. After the D2K and the Carol experience there is no doubt that the Intellivision is more alive than ever. Thanks to all the people that made this forum tread so fun; specially to Liduario and Carl for the hints and videos. (Carl, I will be sending you a PM/email with some of my impressions from the D2K experience). Thanks again and good luck to all! Cheers, OK
  5. Thanks Jedi... I managed to downloaded without any proble\m/s. Cheers. O
  6. I agree with Carl, both Liduario and Wispfollower deserve the top prize (and perhaps an extra pencil and patch . They have given us a magical King of Kong moment and both their names deserve to be remembered in the annals of history and their feats will be sung by bards in generations to come! Way to go!
  7. Last attempt from Karima K. to break WispFollower's score Karima K. 276000 :-o :-o :-o Oops sorry! I misplaced a zero Karima K. 027600 Cheers!
  8. It's Carol Vs the World all over again. Congrats Wisp for the fantastic score! Perhaps Liduario still has a card under his sleeve...
  9. Great Rev... Thank you very much! I hope that the moving went smoothly. Cheers!
  10. Oh... I am so sorry. You were working so hard on this one and you got as well some great scores Perhaps there will be a redemption redemption island.
  11. Hey Janzl, Don't forget to post a link to your forum entry in Rev's website (Intellivision Revolution). IR is hosting the competition. It is my understanding that Rev will be updating the final scores tonight! Cheers, O
  12. Hey Janzl, 22000 points on your first attempt! That is a pretty decent score. Congratulations and just in time!
  13. All great scores Jason! I guess I have to give it one last push
  14. I am a little bit confused, who was redeemed and who stays in limbo? Dude or DZ?
  15. MMM... a box for a widowed chess cart. Who is the girl on the cover? The black widow?
  16. Thanks for the heads up GroovyBee. It may be a little bit too late for me to organise a trip to France at this moment but nevertheless I would appreciate if you could pm me some of the basic info about the event. Thanks again and I will see you around! Cheers.
  17. LOL! And the escape from Redemption Island is getting more entertaining than an episode of Lost.
  18. Congratulations to cParsley, Jacob and Intvdude for the awesome scores!
  19. Actually Liduario, Karima has not saved Pauline yet. As I mentioned before she has been developing her own techniques. She plays with Bruno and loves to pick up the hammer and unleash the fury of the gods. She discovered that she can collect many points in stage number 3 (Classic DK stage 1) by picking up the hammer and chasing after the barrels (BTW Bruno can climb the stairs with the hammer). She collects as many points as she can by smashing and jumping barrels, often dying in the process because it gets tough. Then if time runs out, she retries the stage. Finally, with her last lives she tries to advance as much as she can. Instead of getting the clock bonus, she gets the barrel smashing bonuses. A little bit unorthodox but fun and thinking out of the box. Not bad for someone who is relatively new to INTV and pre-NES gaming… Karima has already been much further than stage 3, but she finds it difficult to increase her score considerably in the other stages (except perhaps in the stage where you save Pauline). The game is very challenging from the start and she is simply finding her own way of having fun with it (while getting a decent score). Of course, with this technique you will never get to the levels of Carl Jr. Jr. or Liduario unless you are an excellent player and you can finish the rest of the game with one life. I think that Karima has discovered that the maximum points for a D2K round could be way more than 25k. Just as Liduario, I used to think that every round would bring only 25k maximum. It would be interesting to know what the maximum to get in the first round is. We need cParsley to write his thesis about D2K
  20. I am keeping my immune system up by playing! Living in Belgium also helps as there is not too much variant temptation as in the US. BTW you have a beautiful collection. I loved your Tron pics.
  21. Hello guys, My wife's got the D2K bug. Can't play as much as a consequence. New submission from Karima K. Karima K. - 26,300 points
