Night Side - The Sword

I bought a bigger house about 18 months back, it cracks me up that some days it feels like we are still moving in... "where the hell did that box come from?". The irony for me is that my HT is 2x the size of my last house, but it is in an "open concept" Loft up on the 2nd floor, and I have no good place for shelving - all walls are either "kneewalls" from the roof, or half-walls overlooking the 1st floor. Luckily there is one small wall to mount my 50" on. "First World Problems"...

My goal is to get my CiBs on shelving, and out of plastic totes. I got come modular cube type shelving, I just need to put all six cubes together first. This is important because it will help me finally be 100% sure of what I actually have!

Sorry for your loss brother, having to put a pet down is one of the worst feelings in the world. And it sucks 10x if there are kids that grew up with it. And I know the cash crunch feeling, my cat got hit by a car last week and shattered the tail at the base. It needed to be fully amputated, and had some internal bleeding, that surgery pretty much just ate the budget to get my well hydro-fracked... not good.

Some things should not exist, I think that is one of them. I have the greatest respect for the Japanese, but it has always seemed that is one strangely pervy country. Good thing my kids are past the Hello Kitty stage, so I don't have to explain why going forward I will now laugh hysterically any time I see a Kitty logo!

I'm not taking sides, nor making judgements. I know I am going to piss somebody off, but from my long gone days in the software industry, taking money upfront for product that does not exist is the very definition "Vaporware" (a prime component of the 2000's dot.com crash). Perhaps a more equitable situation is a 50% down, then 50% when committed to shipping. The homebrewer gets some seed money, and a back end motivation to finish the project.

Ah, the joy of split open skin aorund the thumb - one of the many charming quirks of that damned disk. It's only worse now that I am middle-aged and my skin cracks easily. Seems like something that should have a medical buzzword like "he came into the ER with a traumatic case of Disc Thumb"...

I can see why they didn't sell very many: 1) Placing the disc perfectly centered would be a PITA. 2) I am dubious on the size and shape of the rubber pad. It would need to have a well rounded edge on top, to keep it from jamming against the inside of the controller body. If I had some large diameter punches, I could try to make a DIY from rubber sheets we have out in the shop... time to go dig through the tools...

This one is just for a laugh. I found this guy on CL the other day. He didn't have all the lots itemized yet, so I e-mailed him about the details on the Inty lot. He completely ignores me, then a few days later revs his ad to now include a complete breakdown of all the game systems. Nearly every single one of his Inty CiBs are completely common, but he is delusional enough to think that they are worth $25 each! I e-mailed him again to ask about condition of the Inty CiBs, but I doubt he will reply.
