  1. Someone from lemon64 said they had 1400 units at one point. I'm wondering if they are just taking orders for the whole lot at this point but only the lucky first 400 get theirs this year! Update: OK yes, seems initial 400 are sold. You can still place an order for one of the remaining 1000 to be shipped next March if you like.
  2. Seems to be $778.53 + $68.49 to US for UPS shipping so that is $847.02 in total. It says "0" in stock of course. Those 400 probably sold out already. I do see this note: Please note: Orders are possible even if the stock level shows "0" and in the shopping cart the note "This item is currently out of stock, but can still be (pre)ordered. (0 of 1 available)." is issued.
  3. Yeah, I'm using the SIO2PC USB version. I haven't had any issues doing what I'm doing, just wanted to check and see if it was OK. I usually only have one real powered off drive in the chain of my setup (1050 or 810) depending on if I'm using my 800XL or 800.
  4. Alright, thanks for the confirmation. I’ve been doing this with both the 1050 and 810 so thought I should ask.
  5. So I'm a part-time Atari 8-bit user. In the Commodore world, if you have disk drives in the chain connected that are not turned on, you are supposed to unplug the serial connection. Is this the same with an Atari 8-bit as well? I usually use SIO2PC and have it running through my 1050 drive, which I admit, is not always turned on. Thanks.
  6. Glad it's working for you well on XBox. I was going to purchase it for the PS5.
  7. Right, I just made this thread to point out that preorder is going to happen soon for the MEGA65. I can understand if some people don't feel it's worth the cost.
  8. I'm considering the purchase of Diablo II: Resurrected on the PS5 and was wondering if anyone else made the purchase yet? If so, what do you think?
  9. I suppose we shall see what happens. The whole reason for this thread was just to let folks know that the preorder was happening soon! I'm not exactly a big forum poster, so a lot of the times I found things out by stumbling across a forum post like this one.
  10. Nice, hope you enjoy your Next. I need to sign up on the main ZX Spectrum Next website so I don't miss out on "Issue 3" of it.
  11. Yes, I suppose time will tell! I've been wanting to get a ZX Spectrum Next. Have missed out on both Kickstarters now. They don't seem to make them outside of Kicktstarter it seems.
  12. Maybe after additional cores are ported to the MEGA65 platform, it will have more value in the eyes of folks who are hesitant to spend the money on it. I believe the C64 MiSTer core was being ported to the MEGA65 platform if I'm not mistaken. Maybe some others as well? I found this post. It lists other cores like ZX Spectrum and Gameboy are already done for it: https://www.stevencombs.com/mega65-3
  13. Well, it will sell out. The DevKit sold for EUR 999 and it wasn't even the final product! I don't think the MEGA folks are in for the profit of this, just a labor of love. I'm sure they will be happy if they recoup the cost of development.
  14. While I agree the price is more than some folks will want to pay, you don't need to own the hardware to use or create something for it. There is an emulator and I'm pretty sure you can run it on another (Nexys) FPGA board. I see there are some YouTube videos out there on it, here is one I found: Well, I guess this video is just a quick look at a Nexys board he intends to use. Here is another video of his on the emulator (on a Mac)
  15. Just received an email stating that the preorder for the MEGA65 will happen some time next week. Should be more info here I'm thinking eventually: https://shop.trenz-electronic.de/en/Products/MEGA65/
  16. Here is a link to the presentation that was given at VCF West (2021) for this project: Please keep in mind some of the prices I've listed in my first post have changed since then but I can't go back and edit them now. Have a look at the store if you want to get the current pricing. Here is a nice pic of the A2560U (User) version that is going to be shipping out shortly. It contains one FPGA and a real MC68SEC000 at 20 Mhz on the right side: And here is a pic of the C256U (User) version that includes one FPGA and a real WDC65C816 running at 14 Mhz on the right side:
  17. It's one of the reasons I like using the kernal replacement feature from hardware like TC64, EzFlash or 1541 Ultimate. Of course I'm not a power user for Commodore stuff so
  18. I use a CMD 3.5" drive and 1541 clone with JiffyDOS already built-in and the kernal portion with my Turbo Chameleon. I have never had to disable it, but I think the main reason you might is due to games, right? perhaps multiloading type games. I would never install a switch though, don't like alterations to my original equipment like that.
  19. There are videos on YouTube of the new version I believe and I saw an option to randomize the puzzles.
  20. I don't have any use for the VR aspect, but I'm interested to see what it will be like in the Unreal Engine.
  21. Wow, thanks for pointing this device out! I was looking for some way to do this a while back and was going to end up buying something more expensive. This will do the trick it seems!
  22. I'm not sure where you are located in the world, but maybe ask Jay if he has any. He used to stock a lot of spare parts for the TRS-80. I purchased a recapped Model 3 power supply from him in the past so I can recommend him. I don't know what he has left these days, but I think it's worth an email.
  23. Thanks Robert. I had no clue this was even in the works!
  24. Great, thank you for the confirmation.
  25. George, OK, I managed to get trsvid/cmd loaded on my M3SE and it shows CPU: medium. Does that mean I use -m4b? I think the choices are a b c?
