  1. Does anyone knows if the U2414H works? It's my monitor, and before investing in a scart-to-hdmi solution, I wanted to be sure
  2. I love brawlers but the SoR series annoys me for how long the games are. I prefer these games to be shorter and then perfecting the play for high score challenges. For a repetitive genre such as this to make me go for so long doesn't appeal to me. I know I'm a bit of an odd man, but give me Golden Axe instead any day. Still have to agree, the soundtrack of SoR2 is legendary.
  3. 515820 This is a game that's not exactly addictive to restart, since the first couple of levels are a bit slow and easy...
  4. This is a nice game with a killer catchy soundtrack. People who say it's crap should be have been raised on Euroshmups like me:P I'll post a score later on.
  5. Streets of Rage seems quite solid. Altered Beast is obviously pared down, but playable, but Golden Axe is absolutely horrendous. This is one of my favourite games of all time, and I played the arcade a lot, but this just hurts my feelings. What was Sega thinking? Better to scale the graphics down a bit, but al least maintain a solid framerate.
  6. 904380 Always thought shmups with a lifebar was the realm of euroshmups. This is good.
  7. 93600 I can't figure out how to beat the second level boss. Even using the continues was no use.
  8. I did buy Lord of The Sword from a bargain bin back in 94/95 when my Amiga was on repairs. Never spent too much time on it. I went on a shopping spree because MS games were so cheap and I missed my Amiga, but Phantasy Star was the only one I spent significant time on it. As for Rastan, loved it on the ZX Spectrum back in the day. I only got to play the MS version more recently and it's an amazing conversion indeed.
  9. 245300 Solid port, but lacks a bit of the excitement of the original.
  10. 9110 Very strange seeing the iconic Psygnosis logo in such a lo-fi way. Didn't know they ever released NES games. This game is technically ok, but a bit annoying, but I will persevere
  11. Even though the Amiga version has better music, Mega Turrican has an incredible soundtrack. Chris Hueslbeck is easily my favourite video game music composer of all time. Gleylancer and Castlevania Bloodlines are among my favourite soundtracks of the system. I love Golden Axe music, but the Megadrive port sound sounds a bit limp. Someone should mod the Amiga music over the Megadrive or Arcade original game for the ultimate version of the game.
  12. Sure, but I was just discussing what would be more enticing of having in the box. Nostalgia is a big factor driving impulse buys, and the joystick plays heavily into it. Obviously, I have no idea about the economical side of it.
  13. 4069700 Very impressive looking, never played this port before. But definitely harder than the arcade or the Megadrive port.
  14. Mess with the overscan options? At least solved mine in the SNES mini RetroArch
