Just a bump for this great product. (This is not a paid endorsement. I get nothing for this but i'm just a fan of it)

The Backbit has been able to play every Intellivision game i have. Even Homebrews. It even plays games with math routines like Fubar that people thought it could not do. Some games need to be converted to play but 99% of them are easy drag and drop conversions. A very very small handful of games need to converted with the Windows command line but that is not many at all and i have a tutorial on how to do that. With recent firmware updates not as many games need to converted with the command line. And once in a while a new Homebrew may need it's CFG file modified to get the game working but Evie has been able to help with that on the Backbit forum.

I have 500+ roms (games/demos/hacks) on my Backbit and everything plays. And JLP games that have a save feature also save on the Backbit.

One last thing is you can buy separate adapters for other classic consoles and computers. That's a plus if you collect other systems. I currently have 7 adapters myself. You can check out everything here. https://store.backbit.io/product/backbit-pro/

I need to see if Load Runner works on this with the saving of your own levels.

Although Sylvania did stick its own label on a few housings in 1979 for show-and-tell, best recollections are that it didn't begin making shipments to its own retailers until after Mattel had enough inventory to support its New York-Chicago-LA splash in the Spring of 1980.

My mom worked for GTE Lenkurk at this time in the San Francisco Bay Area and it was Christmas 1980 that she got a unit for my kids at the employee store at $100 off retail as I recall. The discount ammount could be incorrect.

@BBWW Lode Runner is a CLASSIC.  I may need to acquire this game at some point. ( don't tell the boss! )

Oh, I remember talk about a ROM pack with Parsec etc.  Any word?

It is still planned. A few more games to be released and then the BLAH BLAH WOOF WOOF Anthology #1 will be released. Here is hoping for a BBWW Anthology #2 is in the future.

I have one of these. But alas it does not seem to work very well. Most of the CV third-party controllers were problematic, as were the Intellivision Wico sticks.

So I know the side buttons on the Wico made them extra horrible. What is the issue with the Amiga (Gemstick)? Just curious.

  6. It is my understanding that these were developed as cover for the Amiga computer. They were going to be for Intellivision but to my knowledge only sold for Colecovision. I have owned a set but did not want to fry an Intellivision to see if they were really for it. I know a few others here have them and have not plugged them in an actual Intellivision to test them.

They of course went on to release the big surprise The Amiga Computer and then were bought by Commodore.

Most of you know the game. I'm really happy with this port for the Intellivision. I have wanted to see this on our favorite system for years. Along with 40 levels, I love that you can design and save your own levels on the actual cart!

We have already sold a good amount of these however we are continuing to assemble more. Shipping should be fairly quick!

Also available on Intellivision Collector are Parsec (with the fixed ROM) and Foxes Quest for those who missed it.

You are a commando deep in enemy territory.  Your task?  Infiltrate each of 40 different treasure rooms, evade your deadly enemy, recover every last gold bar, and return home a hero to your people!

In GAME PLAY MODE, you will begin your journey on Level 1.  Your objective is to retrieve the gold bars and then move on to the next screen without being captured by enemy guards.

LEVEL DESIGNER MODE will allow you to create your own game levels and save them right onto your cartridge! You can manipulate an existing level, or create one from scratch, and then save it into one of ten available slots!
