Man, after all this, I've really gotta know...
Why didn't he just use a Genesis 3?- 4
-
Thank y'all very much for the info! Not quite what I expected, but still really quite neat.

I bought this as dead, as the owner said it didn't power on. Usually means that they just didn't have a cart to test it with, so I took a gamble. I was right, but it's come with a bit more(/less?) than I bargained for.
Is there anything particular that can be done with this? Is this worth something to someone?
Please comment with any insight, as this is one of my odder finds.

Alrighty, thank you.
Here's some pictures of the inside. None of the (visible) caps seem to have burst/corroded.
-
Huh, bad caps usually have a more complete failure of some aspect, but I'm not a good enough solder-er to replace them either way...
Thanks for the response.

Hi, I bought a Lynx II and it is not really working. It's kinda easier to show than describe, so here's some poorly shot videos.
These seem to be both video and in game bugs and crashes; I am wondering if there is any fix for this. It seems to be an issuse with the system, but I don't know anything for sure.

Bump, please, if y'all can help, do. I'd very much appreciate it.

Hi, I bought an Atari Lynx II off eBay recently, and it has some major(/minor?) issues with it. Here it is with some games...

...Or if I should try and get some/all of my money back. ($42.88 after shipping, came with loose Roadblasters and Blue Lightning, boxed Klax, and sealed Xybots and Crystal Mines II)

"Someone asked about ordering - sorry, no further orders until the XM's ship to all of the people who pre-ordered and supported this project early on, their orders were like an Atari Age version of kickstarter, it funded the cost of the steeling tooling for the plastics and the production of the plastic cases, tooling and production of the aluminum name plates, cost of the boxes and manuals so they get taken care of first and foremost before any new orders will be taken, so hang in there, still have a lot to do and the programmers came back with some good feedback on some things, so those ideas and changes will be implemented, now it looks like some compatibility testing with the several versions of the 7800's will have to also be done."
Thanks again, sorry for not only asking twice, but also for missing that topic... twice.

When they do become available again, you can find them here: http://www.syzygycompany.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51
Current price shows $149.99
As a result of the above explanation, it will show...
"Products marked with *** are not available in the desired quantity or not in stock!"
...if you add it to your cart for purchase.
Thank you much, I'm headin' there now!

Is it too late for me to get an XM?
-
I'd like to know how much it'd be to order one of these, if I still can!

Ok, I believe I've test the correct points, and they read 3V.
Also, here some pictures (just 'cause):
On a side note, this part is heating up:
(Bottom left part, to clarify.)
I'm not certain if that helps, but there it is.
-
...but about that Heavy Sixer...
-
Welp, the reason everything seemed so normal is there was a couple solder points in the RF Box that looked pretty shoddy, so I touched the up and it now works fine. The other game I was testing with still doesn't, though.
I express the utmost gratitude for your help and guidance in this.
-
5V between pin 1 and two, and 10V between pin 8 and 7.
I switched test games and now the LED is burning consistently. Also, R168 has 10V over it now.
I'm still unclear about what the VCC is, though.

i plaid jagar laek taht tel it brake then cri :'(
[it's just the empty shell after I took it apart to fix it. The 32X is also not working though. -_-]
Anyway,
1) 1V
- After testing this connection, the power light will sometimes flash on if the cart is in the right position.
2-4) ... Pardon my newbie-ness, but I couldn't identify much beyond that on the board. Not to impose, but if you could repost my one of my pictures with the areas I need to test obviated, I'd be able to do so with confidence.

But my 2600 is now actually putting an image on the screen, it's just snow, though.Well, it was....
-
Ok, both my 2600 power supplies as well as the Jag's are outputting fine.
The Jag is getting power over the On/Off switch aswell. D:

I recently picked up a working Jaguar and began buying games for it. It worked for about 2 weeks before it lost all signs of life. No power light, no electric hum, nothing.
As you can see, it doesn't seem to be the usual blown U38.
I've had no luck diagnosing the problem, and it happen so suddenly that I'm at a total loss.
Here's so more images to hopefully help analysis.
-On a side note, I'm having the same problems with my Heavy Sixer.
Atari Jaguar to 5200 Controller Adapter Project

It's a shame that this is dead, a Jag controller on the 5200 would be ideal. I'd certainly be buying one if he someone started making them again.
