  1. My systems have the following (unexpected) behavior: Q1: Atari video is immediately displayed on power up Q2: No, my Inty II controllers don't work with the Atari game
  2. Since it appears that the Mattel System Changer behaves differently for different setups, it would be good to have a survey from the community of what is observed. These differences are for when it is expected to work properly. The request is for folks to hook up their various Intellivision II consoles (other Intellivisions are excluded) to their various System Changers, insert an Atari cartridge, and turn it on. Q1: When you turn on your Intellivision II + System Changer + Atari game, what do you first see? Atari video image is immediately displayed Green "M-Network" title screen is displayed. Have to press an Inty controller to see to the Atari game. Q2: Can you use the Intellivision II controllers to control the game? Yes No Gory technical gotchas: Testing using the RF output or composite video output is preferred (component and HDMI output are known to not be System Changer compatible). Other Intellivisions are by default incompatible with the System Changer unless they have the special video mod to make them compatible with the System Changer (most other Intellivisions don't have this mod).
  3. If there are no screw installed, please take the cover off and photograph the board. It might be different that the usual Intellivoices!
  4. The only original 125 game that supported 4 players is "World Cup Soccer" by Nice Ideas. This feature was not listed on the box or instructions. I think a tiny handful of homebrews also support 4 players but I forget which ones.
  5. When you select a game, the LTO issues the reset signal to the Intellivision. Some Intellivisions don't response so the LTO + Intellivision look hung. I have an Intellivision that does the same thing. Just do a quick tap on the Reset button and the game should start.
  6. I'm surprised no one noticed the joke translation in my prior post... 😏
  7. I'll miss this ceremony due to a conflict. Everyone else have fun!
  8. Awesome entry! I was debating whether to implement CHIP-8 on the Intellivision myself but you beat me to it. I used the HP-48 calculator's Super-CHIP for games back in the day (it's an improved version of the CHIP-8).
  9. The first book is an excellent place to start.
  10. The 1st ever Washington State Gaming Expo was held this past weekend in Puyallup, WA (about 45 minutes south of Seattle). This expo covers retro video games, table-top games (AD&D and similar), and board games. It had a number of vendors, arcade games and pinball games to play, and places where you could play table-top and board games with other folks. Overall, it was a successful expo. The table-top vendors were probably the most common (selling dice and accessories) with retro gaming being a close 2nd. I did spot a few Intellivision items in the wild. In comparing it to PRGE: it was smaller but still rather large in size, it had more food variety including beer/wine/spirits, and had huge number of voice actors from video games (esp. Halo) and cartoons.
  11. Bin2ecs produces files that only work on the BackBit. Bin2rom produces ROM files, which is what the CC3 uses.
  12. I call shenanigans on this version of Ghostbusters! It doesn't even have the original gorilla in it!
  13. Sell the one of the kids. You can make more.
  14. This year's VRGE (Vancouver Retro Gaming Expo) is being held on Sat on June 22nd I am going. Anyone else? Main site and tickets available at: http://www.vancouvergamingexpo.com/
  15. There is a command-line option to set the pallete for jzintv. However, I don't know the details of how to do it. This pallette change only applies to your own machine when you include the extra command-line option.
  16. There is a serial number, but it's not my place to spoil his well earned place in the sun. 🙂
